The Shields Gazette have put out a report on some comments our winger Jacob Murphy has made to the Mirror.
This is what Jacob has said regarding his future at the club:
“I still very much see my future being at Newcastle United. It’s down to me and the performances I put in.”
With a new manager coming in, we would have to go with the assumption that most players will get a fair chance to show what are they are capable of this summer.
Jacob will be one of those players who will be itching to impress after a less than stellar start to his Newcastle career.
Jacob Murphy was Newcastle’s biggest transfer in the summer of 2017. The £12m signing from Norwich has thus far failed to make the grade in the Premier League.
Jacob Murphy– can the Newcastle fan make it?
This past season he made just 3 starts in 9 total appearances before going on loan to West Brom. While on loan he had his moments but ultimately failed to give any indication that he has a future at Newcastle.
These are very good words by Jacob Murphy who has accepted that it is up to him to salvage his Newcastle career.
He as much as anyone at the club will be keen to show the new manager what he is capable of. Though he may have to wait a bit as it is likely that Neil Redfearn will be taking the training when the players report back on July 4th.
Being a Newcastle supporter since a child, Jacob will have that extra bit of desire to remain in the club’s plans.
We are hoping to see a more consistent and polished Jacob this summer, but we are not sure he is of the standard to play regularly for the Magpies.

Ha,ha,haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
This just shows how infnatile and small minded you Jib are and the others who liked your smartass comment.
Is this an English test, an exam, an exercise in writing skills?
NO – IT’s A BLOG, A BLOG.
There will be people on here of many different writing abilities and levels, does that make the way they express their views any less worthy of listening too? Only if you are a smartass moron.
If you are so small minded and lacking in debating skilss that the only way you can express an opinion of a view you disagree with is by pointing a simple spelling mistake you must be one sad person.
Unfortunately, all blogs and social media the world over is blighted by the puerile comments that you spout off.

Comment #7I like Murphy, I’ll not forget that goal he scored against Man City in our promotion season in a hurry. A different style of play outside of the constraints that Rafa necessarily imposed might suit him better. Then again, it might not.

Bills Son…………… You didn’t explain what all the people who have previously tried to buy the club stood to gain from spending their money on due diligence and legal fees only to realise that they didn’t have enough money to complete the purchase.
I can’t imagine that the publicity gained from spouting hot air as you call it would be in any way beneficial balanced out against the cost of being exposed as tyre kickers or time wasters .
Maybe because they weren’t actually going to receive what they thought they were buying from Ashley would be a better explanation as to why the club still isn’t sold.

Comment #16So AC Milan didn’t have enough money to pay off UEFA it seems. As much as I love football, the whole politics side of things is so disheartening and on a personal level it’s such a shame to see Milan struggling the way they are. Playing my whole career as a defender I used to love watching some of the greatest defenders of my generation play for them. God knows I never got much inspiration from any of Newcastle’s back line!

BettyB
Does everyone who spends money on a multi million pound purchase ended up buying the company?
No.
Who much did they spend on due diligence, legal fees etc?
Who knows.
Were they expecting to put a case forward from their findings to get the price reduced.
More than likely.
Does the seller dictate what the selling price will be or the buyer.
Nearly always, the seller.
Do buyers often overestimate the willingness of a seller to take a lower, or even much lower, price.
Yes.
The above doesn’t just apply to the sale of NUFC it applies to a multitude of sales.
There is my explanation.

Comment #18The chronicles of narnia being mean to MA?
Is this a parallel universe?
Also when it bought the club the debt was £75m or thereabouts. He gave us an interest free loan yet it’s now over £120m and he has repaid himself at least £33m
I know the wage bill will be higher but TV money is massively higher, we rarely spend in transfer windows and he has all merchandising and free advertising, how has debt grown so much?

Comment #19Ashley has done some stupid and diabolical things at NUFC, not least his recent treatment of and “sacking” of Rafa. It seems to me that a lot of us thought that inevitable as they had been having a Mexican standoff for 18 months. Still, the reaction has been muted. I really expected more than 100 people at SJP when The Magpie Group called for a show of force.
I have had my say on a boycott, which is that it will be futile but I don’t say don’t do it anyway to voice your anger. However, I think if Ashley really wants to boil the p!ss of every NUFC fan he would sell Longstaff. A boycott may gain traction then. You had to have a feeling that Rafa and Fatty were clashing heads too much for that to end well, but Sean might just be the final straw.

Comment #34So Mark Douglas thinks The Chronicle have done a good job of holding Mike Ashley’s feet to the fire. He said they have called Ashley out 13 times. IN 12 FCKIN YEARS and 2 relegations and many near misses. He writes an article on NUST which is thinly veiled as an excuse for the Chronicles implicit support for Ashley by saying nowt. Most of us on here read The Chronicle. We may get upset at it and want to strangle Ryder, but we still read. We know what the day to day narrative in The Chronicle is. They never criticize Fat Mike. Only after something so stupid and egregious as sacking Rafa do we hear a whimper from them and it never lasts. Probably because they are his “preferred media partner” or they are afraid of being banned again.
And standing up to Mike by asking for the idiot Pardew to be sacked is not really standing up to MIke.

Comment #35This is not the first time that Mark Douglas has defended The Chronicle. I suppose he thinks they are doing the best they can under difficult circumstances. And yet, they still employ Lee Ryder…
Anyway, this is the 2nd time in the past 6 months that I have seen Douglas put up previous front pages critcising the Ashley regime. 13 in 12 years and the day to day going along with their lies.
He even had the nerve to write like a 4,000 word article saying The Chronicle do not do clickbait. Give me break. We read your rag, we know what you do. And every tabloid and blog does it so don’t give me the holier that thou attitude.
What really annoys me is that Douglas must think his readers are stupid and have the attention span of a gnat to write guff like this.
