First Tweet After Rafa’s Statement Highlights Mike Ashley’s NUFC

So Newcastle United have taken the opportunity to follow Rafa Benitez’s heartfelt message to Newcastle United fans with an advertisement for them to purchase the new home shirt.

This is what they have just tweeted out:

This tweet is an absolute disgrace. This club either doesn’t understand the dire predicament they are in or they don’t care.

It underlines what this club is all about under Mike Ashley and that is revenue. They don’t care about the fans one iota.

Whether they are oblivious or this advert was meant as a crass jab at Newcastle supporters, it highlights our current situation.

Newcastle United is run like an offshoot of Sports Direct. That is why Mike Ashley bought the club.

This is Mike Ashley’s statement and it is his only care in this world – Buy my stuff!

While no players have been bought or sold the potential sale is still on (these are part of the club’s assets). But I can’t see anyone buying the club in July without having Rafa ready to step straight back in – without Rafa any potentia buyer is getting a club with no manager, no continuity, no time to adapt to a new manager’s style so we start the season worse off than last year (and remember we will not have Rondon and that’s a massive loss).

I rekon MA is being greedy with the sale price. Remember it’s only worth what somebody is prepared to pay. MA has about 2 weeks to sell or he has to keep the club for another season – hope we don’t get relegated – then try to sell it again.

What an embarrassment that we lost a manger due to the owner not having any ambition.
    Thats not sport.
When a team doesn’t want to compete its cheating in my eyes.

I have just seen the video tweeted by the club re shirt sales…..

He is selling, no doubt in my mind at all – this pair of of ‘swear word’ are just having their last laughs at us ! Even these two are not this stupid to put that video out just after Rafas statement.

He has gone to the point of no return now, if there are more than 5000 in that ground come the first game of the season (unless takeover is completed) then the fans are no better than AshLIE.

I am a firm believer in karma or the geordie version ‘ You are ganna get ya head kicked in ‘
Ash and CharnLIE will be forever remembered …but for all the wrong reasons.

I am just as disappointed in CharnLIE, he lives in the area and was here before Ash…..But fifty pieces of silver is all he needs, he might need them more when his affair comes out !

I don’t think it would be hard to sell NUFC to a new Manager. Most would accept the terms offered to Rafa and a MUCH lower wage. The question is whether Ashley would stick to those terms? We have an OK squad. Certainly not the worst in the PL – that would be the 3 promoted teams and Brighton and Burnley. So, 50 million a year to add to what we have. That could work for a young and ambitious manager like Gerrard or Arteta.

I really think the fans would get behind either of those 2, even with Ashley at the helm. And they would take the job as well, however Rafa was treated. That’s the way it has been in the past. The fans have been able to separate the hatred for Ashley from their support for the Manager and the players. With Rafa and Hughton anyway. Remember with Fat Sam it was the other way around – support for Ashley and hatred for Allardyce. Little did we know then what Ashley really was.

But again, if past is prologue Fat Man would not stick to his word and we would be in a relegation fight and having the same arguments on here.

If we end up with a Pardew type retread I have no idea what I will do. I will have to just bury that if, and until, it happens.

Jail, you really are stupid. I’d imagine Charnley has twice your computing power, minimun.

    Tony

Who would you like to personally see as manager given the circumstances?

    Munster does not get it.

Rafa approached nufc and they would never have sourced him themselves.

Rafa had to leave because he would not be supported in a sporting structure, thereby defining the zombie state of the club and Ashley’s parasitic business application.

Anyone following in the managers position would by definition be accepting of all the above and thus devoid of interest in us as a sporting institution, and would be a token appointment.

There would be no point in supporting any of this arrangement until it has been changed by Ashley’s removal.

There you go. Simple brain science.

I’ve got this story about how “Brain Science” originated, you’ll laugh ha ha it began when Gordon was about to be relieved at Mafeking….

We must now just have patience….I feel that this team and us deserve some good luck some time…..let’s hope there is a genuine potential buyer out there, to take us all out of our misery….
