Report – Ayoze Perez To Leicester City For £16m Is Almost Complete

The Daily Star are reporting that Leicester City will be signing Ayoze Perez for a fee of £16m which we have to believe to be incorrect. The player is most likely gone but surely he would be worth double that figure.

Southampton are buying Championship striker Che Adams from Birmingham City for £15m. So we would be wary of that reported amount as Newcastle United should be getting much more than.

Graeme Bailey who is writer Team Talk as well as the Mirror has tweeted this out about what has happened with Perez:

It could be that Ayoze Perez is forcing a move but why to Leicester City? He has been linked with much bigger clubs and could get a move back to La Liga which he claimed was what he dreamed of.

If Ayoze Perez is sold then that would mean our top two scorers Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez will be gone from the club. Leaving centre-back Fabian Schar on 4 goals as the highest scorer.

In terms of the takeover happening, this does not look good unless Ashley is trying to strip as many assets out of the club as fast as he can before selling. We wouldn’t put it past him and then watch him sell the club on August 9th.

From what was the highest you could dream of to now the pits of an abyss you would never have believed just a month ago. Tyneside is in turmoil.

We are in deep trouble.

If I was almiron I’d be trying to push for a move too after seeing how this has unfolded. Rafa gone, Perez going, rondon never to return.

Seen a few “Perez can eff off” Type comments (not necessarily on this blog). Well, He was our top scorer last season, and has taken dogs abuse from several quarters since he’s been here. Now that he seems keen to move, some fans seem to have taken it as an insult. It kind of shows how delicate some football fans are in general. Playing the victim when you part of a group that hounds a player out of the club is a bit soft, really.

Remember, with Rondon unlikely to come back, and Perez away (probably) we are cutting loose 25 goals.

Someone said the other day that seven players had put in transfer requests. He listed a whole lot of things that were about to happen but no one seemed to pick up on it. Perhaps not a trusted blogger, who knows these days?

The diehards will keep going to games. You have them on here. They would follow Ashley all the way to the Conference. It makes the job of supporters who want to change the owner almost impossible.
The diehards moan and do nowt except give their coin to Mike.
    Waste of time.

    Mark
That’s when the rumours first started of Perez looking to leave this summer. It’s just easier to for some on here to suggest that once he hit a good run of form he’s looking to jump ship.
Saw a few of those comments on twitter and kind of feel like creating an account to put them straight.

And he was top scorer in past 2 seasons… playing attacking midfield.

You sell Perez at 25 years old and have to buy someone the same age or younger that will score more goals that is a fact which is obvious it will cost more, (no shit), can anyone see that happening?
Now if there is no takeover the ones who enter the ground against Arsenal must agree with Ashley as that pig is killing our club. And not in a small way either…

We all laughed at the rabble down the road as they sunk down the leagues with an incompetent owner who employed a series of equally incompetent managers.
We all laughed at the empty seats in the stadium of plight every week on TV.
At least they had the sense to stop going to games and supporting the cancer in their club.
What does that say about some of us?

I agree he thrives when theres a bit of quality around him, but that’s true of most players. Him and Rondon in particular seemed to benifit off each others different styles. Almiron lifted the entire team.
