Report – Ayoze Perez To Leicester City For £16m Is Almost Complete

The Daily Star are reporting that Leicester City will be signing Ayoze Perez for a fee of £16m which we have to believe to be incorrect. The player is most likely gone but surely he would be worth double that figure.

Southampton are buying Championship striker Che Adams from Birmingham City for £15m. So we would be wary of that reported amount as Newcastle United should be getting much more than.

Graeme Bailey who is writer Team Talk as well as the Mirror has tweeted this out about what has happened with Perez:

It could be that Ayoze Perez is forcing a move but why to Leicester City? He has been linked with much bigger clubs and could get a move back to La Liga which he claimed was what he dreamed of.

If Ayoze Perez is sold then that would mean our top two scorers Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez will be gone from the club. Leaving centre-back Fabian Schar on 4 goals as the highest scorer.

In terms of the takeover happening, this does not look good unless Ashley is trying to strip as many assets out of the club as fast as he can before selling. We wouldn’t put it past him and then watch him sell the club on August 9th.

From what was the highest you could dream of to now the pits of an abyss you would never have believed just a month ago. Tyneside is in turmoil.

We are in deep trouble.

The Perez deal is on NUFC.com as almost done. They don’t usually say anything unless they are sure.

I hope it doesn’t come to this and we get a takeover, but I’m guessing it would make more of an impact if those of us on 10 year deals who are looking to cancel wait until after the Arsenal game, that way our season tickets won’t go up for sale prior to the season, we will only incur probably one extra payment and all those who wanted a season ticket who didn’t have one last season will already have signed up in different seats by then.

Didn’t Rafa say he wouldn’t let a player be sold before he had a replacement. Sure it was in his contract as he knew he couldn’t trust the man. Interesting Perez was sold after Rafa went. Appears the shackles are off and more players will go. Ashley will be rubbing his hands.

If you’re the manager of the local Wimpy’s at 46 you’re not fooling anyone. If you’re the manager of Leicester City Football Club at 46, Champions three years ago, after stints at Celtic, Liverpool and Swansea, and you subscribe to good open progressive attacking football, and you’ve got your best years ahead of you, many of them, you can, as far as I’m concerned, especially when I’m old enough to be his Dad. 🙂

Well, maybe more a youthful uncle.

    But I digress, we’re f@kt.

Release clauses can be activated at any time, Rafa wouldn’t have been able to stop that transfer even if he was still here.

July the 4th Holiday on Thursday. Can you believe I have been asked more than once if I get the day off like normal Americans since I am not from here. I have been asked a few times jokingly as well since they “kicked your limey asses outta here”.

This whole situation would be laughable, but its really pathetic. Rafa….gone. Ayoze….seems like gone.
Longstaff…..next to go. Plenty more will be gone as AshLIE asset-strips the club. Of course, with many of these gone, surely BZG will ask for a discount, since they are buying something less than AshLIE was originally selling.

What are the odds on AshLIE announcing the sale has crumbled because of time wasting tyre kickers?

WTF has he done to this club and why? Is he insane?

If much or all of this has been posted in a similar way, I’m sorry for the re-hash. Just needed to vent a bit.

it is a great frustration im away from newcastle too – ill have to consider making the trip if some action is called for.
now perez is going…all the ones in the crowd always having a go at him for losing the ball will have to find a new target haha. some of the stuff i heard was shocking.

I have also been blamed for the troubles in Northern Ireland by Irish Americans. I told them I never even voted for the queen and they seemed to accept that.

I will bet that if AshLIE does get the 30million being touted, that it will be payments of 5 million/year for 6 years.
NEVER pays up front, just like many other sales. Daft idiot.

You’ve gotta be Fu##ing joking ! The real reasons are now starting to come to light. GREEDY COCK-ney FAT LAD or whatever he is to be called is actually selling the good players because of their resale value or offers.
Could this be the real reason that Rafa has left so quickly ?
No doubt there is truth in the rumours about Longstaff going to Man U ?
How much more has this GREEDY BA##ARD got to do before the people that are still supporting him STOP buying season tickets ?
Haway man ! If someone approached you in the street and robbed you then every time they seen you after that kept on robbing you. Would you just let them ?
    FFS, get a grip !
It’s like going back to the 70’s when the regime ( Westwood etc ) stripped the club financially and sold the silverware.
How long before Almiron goes for profit ?
