Rotherham United have announced the loan signing of Newcastle United midfielder Dan Barlaser today. He has signed a new contract and will go out on loan for the entire season for the Millers.

Their fans seem delighted with the news of their new season long loanee. Here is a bit of what they had to say:
Shaping up to be the best transfer window we’ve ever had #rufc https://t.co/PQaFD2A3Ju

What a signing!! #rufc https://t.co/hRwSxcRtRV

We kinda beat off PSV for him and I love it ????? #rufc https://t.co/m7TwR8A5IZ

More indicators that we are getting the behind the scenes stuff right at every level. Good business already and should be a good season #rufc https://t.co/aWUqbskBgz
— Joe (@rufcjoe87) July 3, 2019
Dan Barlaser had a decent time at #ASFC last season, had the energy to cover the ground in a midfield duo yet also contribute going forward – can hit the odd belter. Don't know what #RUFC's chances of getting him permanently were but that might have been preferable. https://t.co/DsM8Pba3lo

This is great…a full on Power Point job to Shola Ameobi to get the signing over the line… ???? #rufc https://t.co/p1V6LXr4Ud
— Rotherham Utd Gossip (@RotherhamUnitid) July 3, 2019
We even noticed that one of them mentioned new Loan Coordinator Shola Ameobi in getting the job done.
Let’s hope this season some of our top youth prospects in need of first-team football are able to get loaned out and have successful spells.
Players like Freddie Woodman, Elias Sorensen, and Yannick Toure should all go out on loan this season and get first team football.
It’s nice to see that Dan Barlaser was signed up and already on loan prior to the start of preseason. Hopefully having Shola in this role will pay dividends in the future.

If NUST is willing to actually do something, fine, but my experience with them was not positive. Everything suggested was too much for them. If things have changed, fine. However, it has just been stated that they don’t want to boycott the games. How else do we send a message to this parasite if we don’t do just that?
People coming on here moaning about MA, not willing to do anything about it have no right to moan as it is them that are supporting his ownership. Makes me sick thinking about it.

Not at all surprised by that.
Will certainly try to get to the next meeting, got a quieter few weeks coming.
Be good to put faces to names from here.
So far I have you described as a unit by Genji
And Genji described as a big f@&ker.
Maybe if we all speak up we can show them that the fans forum is a waste of time.

Comment #86Steve Wraith is a political animal and well connected. I’m not his biggest fan – think he’s a bit of an attention seeker – but he could be good for NUST.
I wonder if he’s been responsible for the membership offer which so many have taken up (including me) and which Genjikai has been pushing so enthusiastically.

She thinks she’s telling a story she hasn’t told before, unfortunately we heard it last week and the week before, she’s NOT that old either, there’s peeps on here who I believe are older, and probably talk more sense, not hard, but heyho, she took me to a game before I was born.

Sadly politicians are self serving.
Will give him the benefit of the doubt for now
If NUST was proactive not reactive they’d have more success.
Asking for dialogue with the Ash cloud or Lee the tea is a bit like trying to eat soup with chopsticks, you might get there eventually but it’s more likely you will just give up.

Glad I didn’t do that lifetime membership that I planned on the other night.
Didn’t he support a boycott not long ago but is now suddenly against it?
Load of bollix. D1ckhead.
Been speaking to ashleyOut about trying to get the groups under one banner as there’s that many popping up at the moment. I’ll supply info on here soon.

Comment #105Why are there about 4 or 5 supporters groups and each have a different agenda to take the club forward.??
Its all bollix.
One united group.
Otherwise you are wasting your time.
The 4 organizers of each group should met and agree on an agenda and amalgamate.
Otherwise they are just at variance with each other and dividing their resources.
Sit in one week and demo by another the next week.Pointless.
All out together.

He is just committed to extending the ownership of Mr Ashley by putting coin in his pocket. How can you call a loyal fan dumb??

Singed up the other night for life 19 of my aussie $
always had doubts about “hollywood’ wraithe.
sadly these are the only options you have to at least do something when at the arse end of the planet.
The fact that they were even discussing a walkout where every one need to be checking the watch wtf ? that one is doomed from the start.
Said before the best options is Newcastle council and the local business to get behind this and do the live site.
Having a way of letting fans still come together and show support rather than just mingling around outside is way better and stops the chances of what Ashley wants(divided fan base)
After the fans forums though i do have a feeling the nust are a bit like the “judian peoples front ” ..not to be confused with “the peoples front of Judia ” ..splitters!

Comment #117#bleachtheleech sorry for being ignorant, I know you were posting under a different moniker until recently, can you remind me what it was?
Please do keep us up to date with wrangling and shenanigans within the various NUFC fans groups. If they can get their acts together, they could be strong. NUST is the one with the official lines of communication with the club, for what they’re worth, so have to be on board.
If they’re not prepared for activism however, we need to make them be. They can’t double or treble their membership on the back of anger at Ashley and then refuse to listen to the new voices they’ve recruited.

Comment #120As for charnley?… i think the gloves are off now with regards to his home.
but not in the way of big lads gathering outside his gaff.
I think a few well worded letters (so he knows we know where he lives) will serve just as well to put the pressure on.
If you cant get the briefcase into the bunker then get at the reichsmarschall !
along the lines of …
Lee ,
We know you don’t want to be his stooge and take the shit for every thing he does to this club,we know you have the balls to stand up(stiffle snigger here) to his ways .
You can be a hero lee to the north east. Stand up and walk away.
you can go down as the guy who stood up for whats right or the worst collaborator.
Anyway you get the drift ..just friendly career advice and nothing KBA can use to say nasty geordies bullying a hard working businessman bla bla
Failing that then every home game i expect a chorus of “lee charnley …we know where you live “
