Rotherham United Fans Delighted With Barlaser Loan

Rotherham United have announced the loan signing of Newcastle United midfielder Dan Barlaser today. He has signed a new contract and will go out on loan for the entire season for the Millers.

Their fans seem delighted with the news of their new season long loanee. Here is a bit of what they had to say:

We even noticed that one of them mentioned new Loan Coordinator Shola Ameobi in getting the job done.

Let’s hope this season some of our top youth prospects in need of first-team football are able to get loaned out and have successful spells.

Players like Freddie Woodman, Elias Sorensen, and Yannick Toure should all go out on loan this season and get first team football.

It’s nice to see that Dan Barlaser was signed up and already on loan prior to the start of preseason. Hopefully having Shola in this role will pay dividends in the future.

I would move Almiron off wing and play him in Perez position as second striker/ free role he does that for Paraguay and did it over in mls. That’s if he’s not flogged aswell.

There’s no need for protests because we are sold.
    Exciting times ahead.

I don’t think Gayle is gonna be of much use to us, other than as cover, but we already have Muto, a similar player, with a better all round game. If Gayle is starting for us, I think that’s as clear a sign as you need that we will be struggling to stay up. Great Championship striker, but can’t lead our line effectively in the epl, nor play the Almiron or Perez role effectively enough at this level either. Maybe off the shoulder of a top target man, which we don’t have, but even then, you’d want someone better at this level, in my opinion.

I think that might be Almiron best position like you say we need a striker and second striker I don’t think Gayle cuts it either and defo relegation fodder (as if we aren’t already) if we don’t do summick.

Longstaff will be staying but Hayden will leave, but you can expect 5 signings minimum, and each one will smash our current transfer record.

Apparently FFP isn’t really an issue at the current time due to previous few years. And shouldn’t be much of a worry in the future as they are expecting the clubs income to grow significantly.

The only plan is for the bank balance to be bigger at end of transfer window than beginning nowt else matters to him.

The more I think about it, deal off and a new manager a la McClaren (although I think they will be looking at better, thus Martinez), given more than Rafa was offered as a transfer pot this season, (doubtless to be clawed back in future seasons), but with none of the guarantees he was after, is likely the way this will go. They must know the group we have right now can’t stay up, and a decent manager is needed.

I do like the idea of managers showing a little solidarity and refusing to work for Ashley, but for sure they’ll find someone.

If we had a ton of money to spend with new owners would any of you have kept Perez?
I certainly would not have. Until February I’d had 3 years of dreading his name being on the team sheet. Appeared to be one of worst players we have ever had that was a regular starter over a long period. Suddenly for last few months he was on fire where everything came off for him. But he was still somewhat slow. In January I would have sold him for 5m. But as good as he became I still cant believe we are getting 30m. That is just crazy. Fine for Leicester if he continues to improve or at least maintains that form but as most will have noticed he can lose his touch and goes for weeks on end as a league one player.

We’ll have a player twice as good playing there soon. 20m to upgrade that position. bring it on

Any decent manager will always push the chairman owner for more. Ashley got used to pardew and thinks all managers should be like him or like you say mclaren … basically yes men who do as they are told. We might get lucky and get a young manager on the way up who will see us a stepping stone that’s the best I’m hoping for with fatty in charge.

Not the Stardust of many moons ago? The Stardust who when Ashley took over hoped he’d shake the monkeys out if their trees?

If you are said same, then Tony Baloney’s in for a lesson from the master of being a real tw@t!

If you’re not the original Stardust…

issue with selling perez is….who are they going to get who at least appeared to put the effort in often isolated and able to fill in left or right. for the same money….when everyone knows we have 0 recognisable, proven premier league scorers. the reason we have stayed up is good defending – generally – coupled with the odd goal. was he amazing? no. but we dont exactly have history of going and getting a 30 mil striker. see villa mind went and got their man…

The sale of Perez isn’t a good thing for the club, even if we are sold. He was one of our better players, and still has another level in him. Leicester have got the better end of the deal. But if he wanted to go and he did have a release clause triggered there’s little to be done. 5 years solid service there, lots of progress as a player, and a 15 fold profit. Farewell and thank you.

    Bleach the Leech

When the London Mags protested outside Ashley’s house with a banner, it gave me an Idea.

We need to produce lots of top quality anti Ashley/SD banners and make full use of free advertising that is coming available in the next couple of months.
In Yorkshire where I live, we have the U C I 2019 road cycling World Championships, this event takes place over 7 days in September , The cycle racing is beamed LIVE all over the world by major TV networks and repeated the next day on EuroSport, there are literally 100s of quality vantage points to display banners all around the circuits to get our message out world wide.

There is also the Great North Run were we could display banners along the rout. Any Mag doing the Run should be offered a anti Ashley/ SD top to wear in support of our cause. We should have rapid res ponders who could react quickly at short notice and get banners where there are TV cameras. We also need a Youtube Channel show how strong our support is and display useful information , Newcastle fans TV looks to be getting a following perhaps we could try get them on board?
