Alan Shearer Has Classic Response To Transfer Kitty Claim

In George Caulkin’s interview with Rafa Benitez earlier in the week, Rafa Benitez confirmed what was widely reported about the transfer budget.

Rafa mentioned that he was led to believe the budget would be £50m plus the money recouped in player sales. Now it was not specified if this would include things like player wages and agent fees which Mike Ashley likes to include in his transfer budget.

Nevertheless, it was implicated that outgoing fees would be used to bring in replacements.

Lee Ryder, when tweeting about the Ayoze Perez to Leicester City deal, mentioned that the £30m would be added to the existing transfer kitty.

This went along with what was earlier reported and verified by Rafa Benitez as being what he was led to believe. However if Mike Ashley has created anything on Tyneside, it is skeptics.

Chief among them is Geordie legend Alan Shearer who has been quite outspoken against Mike Ashley. And he would know all about Mike from when he managed the club in 2009.

Alan had this response to Lee Ryder’s tweet:

It could not have been said any better.

Ha, my view has re-hardened. I spent years on here as jimmysmith, basically tearing my hair out over Ashley, and looking for sense in his attitude to the club, but quite clearly we are no more than an advert for his tat, offering affordable epl football and nothing more, and an occasional seasons in the Championship.

When the London Mags protested out side Ashley’s house with a banner, it gave me an idea

We need to produce lot’s of top quality anti Ashley/SD banners and make use of free advertising that is coming available in the next couple of months.
In Yorkshire where i live, we have the U C I 2019 road cycling World Championships, this event takes place over 7 day’s in September, the cycle racing is beamed live all over the world by major TV networks and repeated the next day by EuroSport, there are literally 100s of quality vantage points to display banners all around the circuits to get our message out world. world wide.

There is also the Great North Run where we could display banners all along the rout. Any Mag doing the run should be offered a anti Ashley/SD top in support of our cause.
We should have rapid res ponders who could react quickly at short notice and get banners to where there are TV camera’s. We also need a YouTube channel to show how strong our support is and display useful information.

Newcastle Fans TV look’s to be building up a decent following, perhaps we could get them on board?
