It’s Official – Ayoze Perez Announced As Leicester City’s New Signing

Leicester City Football Club have just announced the signing of Ayoze Perez for a fee of £30m.

Ayoze becomes Leicester’s second signing this summer after 21-year-old defender James Justin from Luton Town.

The Club have confirmed that Leicester City have activated a buy-out clause in his contract.

Ayoze Perez joined Newcastle in July of 2014 for £1.5m from Spanish club Tenerife. He made 195 appearances for Newcastle with 48 goals and 17 assists.

Though inconsistent at times, he is only 25 years old and hitting his prime years. His attacking flair and key goals will be a big miss to Newcastle United.

We wish Ayoze Perez the best of luck in the East Midlands. He was a great servant to Newcastle United in his five years with our club.

Sold without a care or plan to his replacement
    Money trousered
With only loan deals and bargain bin considered to replace

    It’s never MAs fault

    Agreed.

And also so many coincidences in all of this though?

danishmag, I’m glass half full, I’d say less sure than I was, but still fairly certain that something is happening. Say 70% if you want a figure.

It may sound perverse, but the longer it takes to buy players, sign a new manager and just get on with the sensible running of the club, the more sure I become. Even Ashley isn’t stupid enough to physically prevent the club from replacing Rafa, surely?

Not be long before Ashley announces it is all the fans fault we can’t get a manager or players as they aren’t renewing season tickets

Rob, look how long Penfold takes to sign a player? He only has two speeds – slow and reverse.

@RobLeenio: If you are correct about him fronting for his family or someone else, it would explain the lengthy process of the PL tests. Especially for more than one person.

I think that plane going to Luton was discussed here this morning.

The guy who posted it had a theory about the Sultan of Malaysia meeting Mohammed bin Zayed from Abu Dhabi. I point out to him it was the wrong Mohammed bin zayed then he blocked me for no reason.

To replace Rafa you need a manager willing to sign – even Ashley isn’t stupid enough to give Pards or Kinnear the job again

Why do the players need a manager or coach?
    Its them that play.
    Seems logical to me.
I agree in ashleys vision for the toon.
    Cut all unnecessary cost.
We dont even need our top goal scorer from the last 2 years.
I mean its not like we needed a striker anyway.

At the Magpie Group meeting the other day someone suggested an anti Ashley billboard adverts around Newcastle. I cannot remember the exact detail but it was something like £10grand for a load of billboards for 6 months. That has to be the way forward. Imagine every visitor to Newcastle seeing billboards exposing Ashley for what he is doing to our club.
A demonstration only lasts a day. These billboards would be everywhere and visible for 6 months. Best idea I’ve heard. If 10,000 fans committed £1 per month it could be kept going indefinitely.
He couldn’t ignore it. He would have to take action and that would have an impact too.
A bit like Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Bobby, you’re right – how silly of me to think Charnley might accomplish something in a reasonable period of time. It’s not like they’ve had three years to get their contingency plans in lace in case Rafa left!
    😉

kamakazee, yep it would slow things down. I’m not the first (or the best placed source of info) to have brought up the idea that BZG are not the ultimate owner, but the collective memory of the blog does need a prod from time to time.

    Robleenio..

I guess that makes sense… In some twisted way 😉
If.. Ashley still owns the club when the season starts, my guess is that players like Lascelles, Longstaff, Hayden and Gayle are gone too.. That should have given around 100 mil plus the 30 from Perez.. Add that to the supposed 50 from “Ashley/tv money”.. Thats close to 200 mil.. Now.. My guess is that we will have brought up some youngsters from the youth teams, and added with some players for arround 50-60 mil..
Now, where has the remaining 150 mil gone?
Charnley will off course say that player agents etc has gotten the rest.. But we all know, that the FAT lier has put them in his pockets.. Like the merchandise and tv money..

My guess is that he has taken arround 600-700 mil out of the club for the 12 years he has been here.

Anyone not find it strange, or maybe they have, but i cant recall any press outlet mentioning the going ons at company house on monday?

Maybe a press blackout? Also when a takeover is mentioned on ssn by a guest or pundit, the subject is moved on very quickly.

July and a club with no manager and no strikers. But healthy balance sheet. Relegation is a near certainty. Really detest MA. Next season will just be dull … with very few wins… the finally the inevitable relegation.

MA doesn’t seem to care about entertainment, experience, or any part of the fan’s value for money. It’s not just our club but on the very rare occasions I go into a Sports Direct shop it always seem dull, disorganised and packed high with crap. He justs seems to deliver a joyless service.

We have lost our goals from Rondon and now Perez and have lost Rafa. MA tell us your plan…
