One More Shoe To Fall – Let’s Hope It’s Positive For The Club

Neil reported earlier today that Peter Redding, the Geordie journalist in the UAE for Capital Radio, said the statement soon to be released by the Sheikh led BZG would be the last word on their takeover attempt.

Peter said it would finalize the takeover one way or the other.

Here’s the tweet from James (@ToonCaboom) about three hours ago.

Chronicle reporter Lee Ryder is still sticking by the club’s whispers that the owner has still not received a bid yet – but not sure why they would believe Ashley given his long history of lies at Newcastle.

This man simply cannot be trusted – we all know that.

Mike Ashley – Newcastle owner – but not for long?

Peter Redding said that it’s simply not true and a bid has been made to Ashley and they say it’s £350M.

If Sheikh Khaled reports he tried but couldn’t buy Newcastle, then it’s becasue Mike Ashley doesn’t want to sell and he should come out and tell the truth for a change.

If that happens then our fans will do av everything they can to force out the owner – to save the club from any further damage – but any demonstrations and the like will need to be peaceful.

We should remember that potential new owners will be watching and could potentially come in and buy the club.

But that’s only if the Sheikh comes out and says he was unable to buy the club.

The excellent news would be that they have bought the club and then we’ll ask the Chronicle why they kept reporting, since May 26th, that Ashley had not received a bid for the club.

Maybe becasue that’s what Ashley told them.

But there have been two sets of facts – one from the club and one from Newcastle – both cannot be true.

But if BZ do manage to buy the club, they will presumably name their manager and if it’s Jose Mourinho then – wait for it – Ashley may even have told the truth about not wanting to give Rafa a new deal because it would cost the new owners a £6M buyout clause.

But the Sun reporter Justin Allen, who broke the takeover news, has already said that Rafa was the manager BZG wanted.

So there’s one more shoe to fall – and we hope it’s positive for Newcastle fans and the club.

Losing Rafa was a severe and unnecessary blow the club will find difficult to overcome.

And like yesterday – pretending nothing was wrong – is like putting your head in the sand – but come to think of it that’s the way Ashley has run the club since May, 007.

It’s like having an elephant in the room and nobody comments on it.

But if Ashley leaves and Sheikh Khaled comes in – there could still be dancing in the streets in Newcastle very soon.

YES!

We have to hope and pray some good news is on the way.

We need it.

Howay The Lads!!

Comments welcome.

And now on to Kevin Nolan. Ok I will mention the frog here but when you see interviews if such a coincidentally timely nature like that pop up from those who undoubtedly should know better, it blows to bits those myths you held on to for so long. I can close my eyes and see that glorious pile on celebration in the 5-1 that had me leaping fists pumping wildly and scaring the little ones ha ha just vapourise into nothing when he says “the squad they have now is good enough to be in the premier League” – good enough to survive eh, kev? Traitor to the fans. Yep that was a chicken dance all right you spineless shill. 🙁

But now the head of NUST says don’t boycott.

    I don’t understand.

Bliddy hell, “one more shoe to fall”. Ed’s waxing poetic, and creating new metaphors into the bargain, to describe the ridiculous situation we find ourselves in. 🙂

But seriously, what a f@ken joke! The club means a huge amount to hundreds of thousands of people and one man is holding it to ransom.

Take your shitty profit and just f@k off, for God’s sake.

Calling on a boycott is good but they should really call for everyone to cancel sky and not go anywhere that pays for sky as he gets a massive amount from them.

    Fair enough.
Thats all anybody is asking. That we give it a go. It cannot carry on like this. If it does not work so be it. At least we will have tried everything.
A boycott is not about revenue. Its about image. He does not want to advertise his tat worldwide in a ground with 25k in it.
I know it wont be empty but it might be empty enough to embarrass him into parting company. We have to make a stand otherwise it just goes on for ever.
    United we stand.

Not my political clap trap just trigger happy with the post , didn’t mean to fill all that space with that shite, just to make the point that no one can conclude a deal be it Brexit or Ashley/BZG

The first point is irrelevant the second point is of National importance

View of the shields Gazette. We can see where they are getting their info from and it shows Chronicle either aren’t trying that side or are purposely ignoring it.

    Guys
If the supporters groups are not going to boycott, we are really phooked. What does it take???
I suppose they want to sing a few songs of abuse in Northumberland Street.
These groups should all amalgamate and be united. Having 4 or 5 different groups is self defeating in any event. Divide and rule.

You have to explain yourself Bobbybee.

You spent half your life explaining how there is a difference between Ashley and going to watch NUFC. You are 62 years old and now turn on a dime/sixpence

I can understand it. But also, if I printed off all of your defenses of game whilst at the same time hating Ashley they would stretch 3 time around the world.

Saying “this time is different” is not an explanation because you have literally written about 100,000 words on here saying IT IS YOUR LIFE AND YOU WILL NEVER CHANGE.

The communication issue that posada raises is a real one. We can’t rely on the Chronicle, Talk Sport seems to b in the process of turning our heros into shills, the majority of the fanbase aren’t on twitter and sord of mouth can only get so far.

However, we have the match vs St Etienne at SJP upcoming. The fans groups should use that as an opportunity to surround SJP, not to prevent people from attending but for the purposes of leafleting, getting some strong public speakers on soapboxes with loudhailers, repeating short and clear messages and imploring the fans attending that night not to go to the Arsenal game.

This is the opportunity to get the message across to those who are otherwise unreachable.

    Tony
Bobby does not need to justify his change of heart as if you do not believe him. He has come to that decision because he has realized that nothing will change without action.
He obviously thinks that the takeover is bollix. Hoping like everybody else, but we are all just looking stupid now waiting for the great voice in the sky to talk to us. but he is contemptuous of us and eventually even the most ardent fans want to make a point.

Has nobody picked up on Ashley’s lie about his reason Rafa went was that bzg didn’t want him.Yet the club are stating that no offer has been received from bzg.In which case either both statements are lies or an offer has been received subject to Rafa being gone.

So exactly where and when did these meetings take place Kevin ?
Were you on holiday with Mike in Florida for the last few weeks ?
Did you get paid by TalkSport for this guff ?
Happy to apologise if you can furnish us with the dates of the meeting.
Someone like to Twitter with Kevin to get the low down ?

Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is trying to ‘give the Newcastle fans what they want’ and sell the club – but will only do so for the right price.
That’s according to former Magpies skipper Kevin Nolan, who told talkSPORT he has ‘been in meetings’ with the Toon chief and knows he wants out of the club.

I loved going to the matches, I rearranged all sorts of pretty important things (!) rather than miss a game but after we came back from relegation I thought then that this cycle would repeat and year on year Mike has delivered right on cue. We had the ten year deal and we probably might not get our seat in the gallowgate back again so I do appreciate what it means for those who have stuck through decades of ups and downs. I just want my lads at least to see something I probably never will, a team designed to actually bring an honour or two back to Tyneside, we are way overdue.

I’m hoping this doesn’t get lost in the fog of club sound bites, sympathising pundits and Ashley’s business pal networkers and a few wins under the new manager. I hope the fans won’t be drugged into accepting it for yet another year.

This is why I can’t be bothered with NUST. They aren’t concerned with anything concrete, they are an organisation for the sake of it. What does it mean “we are not a protest group, but a force for meaningful change”(Words to that effect)? How does that work for anyone? Tea and buns with the club pr assistants? What a waste of time.

I and others have tried offering friendly advice but you continue to be provocative. You’re either thick or just plain troublesome.

Why not do us all a favour and take your words elsewhere. That’s being polite when those words could be replaced by two simple words – the last one being off!
