Player Newcastle Scouted In January Is Available For £5.4m. Are Newcastle Still Interested?

Newcastle reportedly scouted Paris FC striker Silas Wamangituka in January. At the time is was said that he was being followed by Lille, Lyon, Olympiakos, Nottingham Forest, Fiorentina, Schalke as well as Newcastle.

Now the player is reportedly attracting attention from both Barcelona and Liverpool. The reported interest of Barcelona and Liverpool is a bit more recent with unverified reports from last week in Caught Offside that Liverpool had already bid for the player.

There is now a new report in Foot Mercato saying that both Lille and Nantes have had recent bids rejected for the Congolese Striker. Both bids are apparently less than Paris FC’s valuation of €6m (£5.4m) for the player.

Silas Wamangituka– young striker available for low fee

At just 19 years of age, Silas Wamangituka would be one for the future but is a very talented young player. He scored 11 goals in 32 appearances in Ligue 2 last season in his season with the club.

If Newcastle have already been scouting the player and were reportedly interested in him as recently as this past April, we have to wonder if he is still on their radar. He really fits the Mike Ashley profile of buying young and selling for a large profit.

I missed out your other cousin but not deliberately he is another who could step up now, I am also very happy to be able to include Stefan O’Connor as I thought he’d been released, a big bloke with skill and speed

Yeah they are “joint” but can see Watson overseeing the academy and Redfearn the 1st team coaching. We are spread thin cause Rafa and his whole team walked so can’t see them both on the touchline at fixtures.

Wor lass lives in wideopen, which is a 10 min bus ride at most from Dinnington, (Chicago, Illinois). If I’d known earlier, I could have nipped round and made sure Tony took his brain medicine.

Lee Charnley is a 100% pure Grade A undiluted ring-piece that would not be employed by any other football club in any capacity whatsoever. I wouldn’t trust him to sit the right way round on a toilet seat never mind interview and negotiate for a new manager and players.

EGB I’m with IrishRob on this… Charnley is drooling over a 19 yrd old frenchman at 6m from Ligue 2. That’s his form and then he’d think he’d be insulated from the criticism that he failed to bring in a striker. I wish I was making that up to wind you up but I’m not I really think Ed might be onto something with this one.

I don’t think MA will be going down the manager route, he likes the say to much, more of a head coach will be the more suitable option.
Does it really matter who we get?
Most just want a day out at the game.
Die hard fans want real ambition, the majority are mainly happy just supporting our team.

Also Neil and Ed could easily track IPs and out the multiples but they don’t, because it creates more discussion and refreshes, which means more revenue for them. Pleased to have this forum, and they have a right to earn some money, but a little housekeeping would be appreciated to stop the shill talk and multiples

Paris got into the play-offs last season scoring only 36 goals which is lot less than the other teams at the top of league 2 so to score this many goals in low scoring team is an achievement.
