Players And Club Tweet After First Day Back

The players have completed their first day back at Newcastle in preparation for the season ahead. The club kept up with the activities of the day on Twitter sending out pictures and videos of the players.

They can be very good at communicating when it deals with things like training but it only highlights how sorely the club is lacking in other areas of communication.

However, in this case the communication with the fans was excellent as they sent out the following tweets:

One gripe we would have is that the club seems to be intent on acting as if everything is normal when it definitely is not. Some communication about the proposed takeover, the manager search, or even the future plans of the club would really help to calm the fears of many supporters.

In regards to the tweets on the activities of the day, we have no complaints. Though something really needs to be said about the state of the club off the pitch at the moment.

A handful of players also got involved and sent out tweets recognizing their first day back at training. One of the ones we were very happy to see back was Florian Lejeune who sent out a tweet simply saying “First day of pre-season training!”

However, he was carrying a bag over his head and with the current state of affairs at the club we were slightly worried that he may have packed up and left. Then we realized it was a weight bag and it was being used for fitness. In all seriousness, it is great to see Florian make such strides in his recovery from his second devastating knee injury in less than a year.

Here are the tweets went out by Florian, Federico Fernandez, and Paul Dummett:

Huddersfield was a case of a minority and a majority
    shareholder swapping positions.

That must’ve been a horrible decision to make.

    You’ll all be back someday.

    Let’s hope it’s soon.

Mate give it a rest… I come on to read the blog and there is 5 pages of you sprouting rubbish about Dubai Micky!!

If you think he is wrong, no problem.. ignore his messages

You like what he says? Then interact with him and enjoy the conversation and banter on here

I take everything that people say they know with a pinch of salt because in reality there are very few who will know what’s going on..

Dubai Micky has been on here a long time and I actually enjoy his posts but I won’t jump off buildings if what he says is wrong etc…. But what I do like is it gets people talking on here

You though mate are a boring sod! Stop being a tw*t and enjoy the blog!!

If you are here as a wum then you are pretty poor at it and may want to go somewhere else and start again

Reilly, Dubs – it’s nothing. It’s been like that since they incorporated the company. He’s just a named shareholder with significant interest in the club. The other shares could be distributed to members of his family or other businesses in the UAR and have no voting rights and don’t need to be listed.

As for owning 25% of nothing, well that’s not accurate, because that only relates to the shares in Monochrome Aquisitions and not anything to do with NUFC. That holding company will purchase, (or wants to purchase), 100% of NUFC

    Good lord,

Last night it was quite anti MA and there was some daft humour and banter.

Wake up this morning to the sound of an agitated seagull, and then reading this it’s what some of the overnight posts sounded like. Was there no cricket to calm the nerves?

The thing the gets me about the toon is.
Only us, as a club fail to at least try.
No other club does these things.
You would think the league would step in.

It’s such a travesty for football.
Stuff like this really gauls us fans.

After us how many more clubs can the league let it happen to.

This needs to be looked at from the high.
Reading this blog alone proves that.
Only the powers that be can step in.
Loving the toon theres nothing we can do
Lets hope the sale is on.

    p.s STOP FEEDING IT

    The bickering has one purpose
It’s to kill the blog and stop people posting anti MA stuff or arrange protests

It’s a denial of service tactic

    Tony…
Can you highlight information from Dubai Mick that has been proved to be incorrect… Quite frankly the has given snippets from the media vehicles of the Arabian peninsula we wouldn’t otherwise have access too. You claim to be an avid reader prior to posting then surely you would know that Dubai has got respect on this blog, and as a long time sensible poster I doubt he would be winding anyone up.

I had sympathy for the berrating you think a few days ago but with your incessant pestering of a long time regular I believe your beginning to piss off other reasonable regular posters… A friendly word of advice, stop hounding the blogs main link to the ‘alleged’ purchasers homeland!

Well done Hibbit and your family too. I appreciate how difficult this has been but just hold your nerve. If we do get taken over, there’s a great chance that the new owners would ingratiate the fans by offering the ST holders from last season a chance to renew.

I think the general consensus is that it would be UK announcement as the paperwork etc would be signed here.

Of course I could be wrong, at which point I shall be expecting to be publicly flogged and spoken to in capital letters.

Normally for any major announcements, a press conference is called, but this is Newcastle, cloak, and dagger for the sake of it, so I would imagine it would be up to BZG who would have to make an announcement.

It’s the silence from Newcastle that has everyone at each other’s throats, and that’s usually the plan, while we all argue Jabba continues with the asset stripping undisturbed.

United we stand, divided we fall. If ever there was a time for us all to unite and stand together that time is now. We need to drive the fat man from the club, then we can all get back to the arguments later.

Rafa turned up at the training ground a few weeks back.
Was it one last look about, clear his desk and say bye to a few staff.
    Probably.
My take. Ashley, Rafa and his new employers have all known he was leaving since early June I would say.
Only the owner can sort out a football club. Why would he waste a month in terms of getting in a new manager.
Well, normal logic would suggest something big is going on in the background.
Sadly, with MA we know normal logic does not always apply.

Pure and simply ashley is driving geordie familys away from the entity they love.
Whos going to support the club when all the local support is gone?
