BZG Have Released Statement Through Capital Radio UAE’s Peter Redding

Peter Redding has just sent out the following tweets which he claims is a statement from BZG to Newcastle United fans.

These are the tweets that have been sent:

We sense there may be more coming from Peter but what he has laid out is somewhat encouraging. That is unless of course there is a big “but” on the way.

If these tweets are in fact accurate, we can glean that both parties are interested in a sale. They state that the current owners have cooperated amicably throughout the process.

The big statement is that if a deal is not forthcoming it will not be due to lack of effort from both parties. It appears to us that unless something happens that is outside the control of Mike Ashley and BZG then this may be happening.

They also claim they have completed every aspect of the takeover process. While this is not an official statement derives from a meeting Peter has apparently had with BZG, this has to be seen as positive news.

We wonder if this is the extent of the pending statement that Peter had spoken of last week, or if an official statement is still forthcoming.

We have yet to hear from Mike Ashley or Newcastle United at the moment, and that could be where the potential pitfalls lie.

The statement to me looks very like BZG trying to save face when Ashley scuppers the deal.

My interpretation of this last part of the BZG statement is that if Ashley cannot agree to the deal on offer, which they have all put effort into, then Ashley is not willing to sell NUFC

magicman “i wish any people who post on this blog would stop trying to convince fellow fans on this blog they have any inside information about a potential takeover”

Who’s actually done that? Other than a few dubious one-time or seldom posters, which long-term and regular posters have claimed to have massive insight into the latter stages of the negotiation process or given dates as to when things could complete?

We’ve all had guesses, but everyone has been quite clear on that score – guesses only. Speculation has bene rife, but it’s bound to be, surely?

The only person who has had genuine insight at one point (and only quite early on in the process) that I know of for sure was Dubai Micky, and everything he has said lately has been along the lines of “I know the buyers were serious, but I don’t know about the seller or when / if it will complete”.

I know Ashley is a greedy tight bastard and you’ve more chance of getting blood from a stone than him being a willing seller.

Deals off, was never on and Charnley is the new DOF and Manager.

The more I read the statment from BZG, the more I feel that it is trying to say that the deal is waiting to be signed off by Ashely – maybe he needs to submit paperwork to the EPL or FA?

I’ve never gone with the theory about using this or that as an excuse for not buying players as he doesn’t need an excuse, does nobody remember when we didn’t buy a player for 18 months. I’m really not sure what’s happening this time but there has to be a point where he gives up the pretence of selling or sells. There’s soon going to be less than a month before the season starts and we need two strikers, a winger and a LB, if we’re not going to have to endure Wearside Jack in a black and white shirt again we need a CDM. If this takeover doesn’t happen it’s only the fans that seem to realise the consequences, I don’t think Fatty quite understands the shit we’re in all the while Churnley is telling him all is well.

Why are you so hung up on sky sports picking this up? They are a second hand news source. They never break their own stories and have been a mouthpiece for Ashley’s lies and people like wise, Bellamy etc.

Even if the BZG group did sign a NDA, they still can’t relay information indirectly I using a 3rd party. This is so messy you don’t know who’s telling the truth

So we have the new BZG statement but unfortunately no one has a enigma machine or the code to translate it.

I understand why they wouldn’t want to use Sky or another media outlet but I dont understand why it’s all so cryptic, I’d have preferred no statement than the one we got.

Sky are a world wide news outlet im more inclined to believe what they say, granted second hand but probably verified and corroborated, than redding and his 1300 twatter followers. Plus the fact his info last week was duff. And like you say theyve got the inside track with the tapeworm.

My take on that statement is that everything is agreed and they are awaiting a 3rd party to sign off most likely the PL/FA.
If it was dead they would have said so, instead of saying every aspect is complete, they also tried to paint fcb a good picture by saying he has been amicable and it would not be down to either party if it falls flat on its arse.
    I’m still believing.

    Ashley’s options…

1: sell up now while we are still worth 350
2: keep us for another season, but pump 100 into the squad to ensure we stay up.
3: get Kinnear back, use the youngsters and retain players previously out on loan, gamble relegation, but keep the SD signs in the shop window for another year.

if sky report summick from kba / tapeworm along same lines it will corroborate what this redding bloke is saying until then I consider redding full of $hite. Once kba corroborate we can all finally wake up and realise there was never a takeover and weve been had… again.

So if a deal is not forthcoming who else would be to blame if it’s not the 2 parties?

FA perhaps to blame for FA happening.

“We have completed every aspect required in a takeover process”.

Just that one statement, that means FA/EPL is completed, it means the cash (proof of funds whatever) is there. It means everything is there.

There can be only one person that is stopping this, and we all know it’s the fat slug.
