Peter Redding With Capital Radio UAE Issues Follow Up To BZG Statement

Peter Redding has tweeted the following clarification about his earlier tweets on the statement from the Bin Zayed Group.

Peter is asserting the comments to the CEO and that it was preferential to release through social media.

The statement appears to be incomplete however he has yet to follow up with another tweet. However, it appears as though the statement was released for the benefit of the fans.

There is growing concern with this approach of releasing statements through unofficial channels rather than through their legal representatives.

If these statements are actually official and from BZG, they certainly have a very strange way of communicating.

This could all be cleared up at least somewhat with an official statement from our club. That has yet to happen and we have no idea when or if it ever will.

BZG have done nothing positive here and are looking more Micky Mouse by the day

I waste more battery on my phone every day refreshing this site for good news than anything I use it for. The amount of sleepless nights I have bc I refresh after midnight or the first thing when I wake up in the morning… and it’s always the same. Today’s “announcements” are so vaguely written that they say nothing. They are going out of their way to not mention names and come off as non informative as possible. I had hope but this just takes any hope that was left away from me

according to a lot of reports seasons ticket options aren’t being taken up. news like this mornings fiasco can only firm up that refusal to renew, i’m not sure this bullshit is as favorable as you seem to think in encouraging fans to renew in fact i think the effect will be the direct opposite

CEO of Bin Zayed Group is Sheikh Khaled, btw – for those who are wondering.

All previous statements have come generically from the BZG or from Midhat. This could well be the first we’ve heard direct from our new owner. Well, not really direct, but that’s really the next point.

Sheikh Khaled is a member of a Royal House. He doesn’t do social media and he doesn’t do interviews, I assume. What he may do is ask a friendly ear, perhaps someone he has been told is a respectful and honest operator, to put out a statement on his behalf.

I think this is what we’ve seen today.

I know people are frustrated with the statement that has been released by BZG. Maybe the statement has been written the way it has, was to keep open a deal to buy NUFC without annoying the current owner of NUFC.

You can’t buy a football club from owner if you have just called them a loser.

BZG and MA must be involved in some financial accounting trick and by posing as a fake buyer, BZG is getting something into the UK that MA can claim to be his own and thus avoid import duties.

naptoon, lol I’ve enjoyed our back and forth today, two polar opposite views, but I know where you’re coming from and I hope you can at least see my points too.

It’s an ambiguous statement, for sure. I’ll choose to look at it positively and I respect your right to interpret it the opposite way.

As for a bet – how about we follow the great traditions of the blog and pledge £10 to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation if we’re backing the wrong horse – how about I pay if we’ve still not been sold by the transfer window closing, you pay when we are sold (voids on close of transfer window)?

The list of Managers is diminishing by the minute. Gerrard now NOT INTERESTED. We need them ALL to refuse to talk to Ashlie. Without a “creditable” manager , coach or whatever he is stuffed. Fire sale starts this week as he tries to salvage some funds from the chaos.
He has never had any intention of selling the Club. He just wanted Rafa to sign 12 month extension to his contract for more of the same old but he didn’t have any back up plan for Rafa walking.
What an utter shame or more like sham!

Sheikh Khaled, the CEO of BZG, self proclaimed multi-national conglomerate, who by accounts were in for Liverpool at 2 billion quid, and by other accounts not really, and are allegedly in for us at 350 million, releases an update of this multi million pound transaction exclusively through the sports guy at some dozey little Dubai easy listening radio station.

Hey, sure, could be on the level. I’m sure that’s how you’d go about it. A fella like that. 🙂

Ridiculous as all this is, I of course desperately do want to believe it. Mourinho n’ all. Why not? 🙂

Making sense of the BZG statement today is like reading the tea leaves. But at least they’re trying to communicate with fans which is something nufc stubbornly refuses to do.

There’s no plausible resson why Redding would risk imprisonment and a huge fine by misrelresenting BZG for the sake of a few twitter likes.

There’s no plausible reason why BZG would ruin their reputation by knowingly colluding in some Ashley scam to fool fans.

I interpret the statement as saying BZG are serious buyers who have gone through all the necesssary procedures and are now waiting for Ashley to sign off on the takeover. He’s whats delaying it and he is still the reason a deal might not be possible.

The BZG group statement is their very polite way of telling him to get on with it.
But .. who knows ? None of us, that’s for sure ..:)

It took a long time but iam very pleased my fellow Newcastle united fans have finally wised up and realised all this talk about a potential takeover is pure fantasy and pie in the sky, its all PR, and smoke and mirrors, we all know to our cost Ashley is a total con man and a compulsive liar, he is sucking the life out of our great club and the geordie nation have simply had enough of this horrible little wast of space, he doesnt give a shit about our great club and uses us as a door mat to wipe his rotten stinking feet all over us, if we are serious about forcing him out of the club then we need to unite and stop going to the ground, its now a case of short term pain for long term gain, if we keep filling the ground every home match then this parasite Ashley will still be owner for another 12 years, i know the fans are the best in the business and the most loyal in the business, but its well beyond time now to get rid of Ashley before he totally distroys our amazing club.
