Sky Reporter Gives Take On BZG Statement

There has been no reporting from either Sky Sports or the Chronicle about Peter Redding’s alleged statements from BZG. The statement has however been reported in the Sun and in outlets in Dubai among others.

After being asked on Twitter why there has been no reports of the BZG statement, Keith Downie of Sky Sports simply stated the following:

When questioned on Twitter about the statement at least being worthy of reporting whether true of false, Keith responded with:

He then goes further and asserts that he does not believe the statement because Peter Redding and the avenue used are unreliable:

When further pressed and asked what exactly he doesn’t believe, whether the statement is not from BZG or if BZG are lying, he clarified his initial statement with:

Many Newcastle supporters will feel exactly as Keith Downie does that releasing a statement like this, in this format, is very questionable. However the complete silence by Sky Sports and the Chronicle are very strange to say the least.

Also, I don’t think you want to go by the credo that you will only report what you believe to be true. That is for the audience to decide. And if your network is constantly trotting out the likes of Dennis Wise to pump up Mike Ashley, then you may not be following that credo too well.

We were defo after that Conceicao and had him in the bag until Charmless emailed him the deal…

And started it with Dear Jaun Cornetto…

    Never heard from him since.

I don’t have a press badge, but I do have a bit of time this week so I am going to do my best to get a comment from the FA, PL or club itself. As I say, unless Ashley is now God Himself, it’s astonishing that nobody is willing to come forward and simply say “sorry, fans, we’re in discussions over a potential takeover – there are still issues, which cannot be discussed in public, but we will give an update every day until the deal is either agreed, or called off.”

As far as I can tell, unless Mike Ashley has successfully gagged everyone at the club, from the cleaner to Charnley and the three other employees, then anybody can say “yep, seems to be a takeover, no idea what’s happening though”. People can easily, and in their droves, say “well, I signed an NDA, so can’t really talk about it”. That in itself is NOT a breach of any NDA, if one even exists. NDA’s are there to protect confidential info; in reality, only Ashley, Barnes, Charnley would need to sign one at NUFC. There doesn’t appear to be one BZG side, simply because they haven’t said as much.

It’s all so fcuking absurd, abstract and almost deliberately misleading that it makes ZERO sense. Ashley is a goddam nut-job, the man should be locked up and have his assets frozen.

Although things may come to a head soon in other ways, if Ashley actually does appoint a manager then that would be a pretty definite signal that any takeover this summer or in the near future is off. As long as we stumble along in chaos, managerless and not buying any players, there’s hope .

That’s all we need beach ball head in charge, still it will absolutely lead to a boycott.

    #BleachTheLeech,
Why aren’t you tying in with TMG, we’re all supposed to be in this together, the problem is, with so many splinter groups we are not united, 17 minutes, 59 minutes, 69, minutes, full boycott etc

    Agree
This is the reason all the protests last time around just looked embarrassing.
it has to be just don’t go to arsenal … simple message.
all these walk in at 11 mins walk in at half time, walk out on 63 …ffs
will just look to the rest of the world the geordies are doing some mad hokie kokie ..might as well sing the shola song while we do it.
I think like all modern warfare 90% of this is won with hearts n minds .
The PR battle is where this is won or lost .
crowd fund a massive full page add in the local papers.national press if need be.
as long as its honest and factual no one can be sued.
Those not on social media will at least be informed as to why its time to stand up and not give him any more cash either through nufc or any of his tatt empire.
Not only that people need to understand that the boycott arsenal has nothing whatsoever to do with depriving him revenue .Bobbybee and co understand this as he already has their money.
It is about embarrassing him in the way he has embarrassed us for the last 12 years.
those stickers posters all over the toon are a great idea.
Think it was crawford the other day who asked a guy (his two kids were in the new shirts and he had renewed) why? the guys answer was “mike ashley is not going to force me out and stop me supporting my team !!!”
I struggled to even think of words but complete and utter ignorance were the best ones i could think of.
The last thing ashley wants is to force us from supporting our team ..its the massive crowds that get sky showing our games around the world and the goons wandering around the shop buying either the nastiest looking kit ever (saying something when you look at the ones since adidas) or topping up their charva wardrobe.
    #boycott Arsenal
It really is the most simple of messages .I just don’t know what else anyone needs to understand

Every time there’s bother have a sale
It’s why his tat shops always have sales

He’s running us the same way he runs tat shops

It makes sense if you look at it that way,

I’ll be honest, I was sceptical when people were saying a dentist was in the know cos people might have been talking to him in the surgery.

I’m far more certain of a barber knowing stuff. I mean, it’s a natural topic of conversation. ‘So, where did you go on your holidays? Any top secret snippets on takeover shenanigans?’

After all, how are you supposed to say anything to a dentist when he has his fingers wrapped around your tonsils?

So honestly if you have any notion of supporting the toon think about spending a few minutes finding out who your local MP is
    And sending them an email
You don’t have to Wordsworth tell them your concerns and ask them to represent you in parliament in regards to the bill

It’s going to take you 5 mins what’s there to lose?

    Is it a sign?

Was in the garden today tidying up and doing other chores. About dusk I was admiring my efforts when, and I swear to God, Geordie our Toon garden gnome suddenly arose from his kneeling position and did a Shearer air punch before returning to his kneeling position.
Could this be a sign that the takeover is on. I’m not very good at assessing these types of incidents, would it be possible for perhaps Robleenio or EGB to give their assessments.

Too dark to get a photo of Geordie but have provided a shop photo of him as below.

Bedford Mag, yeah I was taking the p!ss before but this guy has a nice shop on High Bridge, appears to be a high end barber and could well have some high-end clients. He also doesn’t hide behind his social media profile, it tells you in detail who he is, so he’s open to ridicule (and poo parcels) if he’s lying.

My point is, why would he put something like that out there if he wasn’t confident in it?

Then again, why have all the other folk done the same?

The downside I see in the statement from BZG today is that if the takeover was imminent, why would they bother? Personally, I think it means there is a takeover in the offing, but that it could be a while off yet.

In the meantime, we exist in some kind of perpetual pergatory, doing nothing and achieving less as players, fans and club staff become more and more disheartened.

The one thing which can put a smile on everyone’s faces again is a club sale. At this point, I think they could appoint Pep and spend £200M on players and we’d still go “Yeah, but Ashley’s still here”.
