Sky Reporter Gives Take On BZG Statement

There has been no reporting from either Sky Sports or the Chronicle about Peter Redding’s alleged statements from BZG. The statement has however been reported in the Sun and in outlets in Dubai among others.

After being asked on Twitter why there has been no reports of the BZG statement, Keith Downie of Sky Sports simply stated the following:

When questioned on Twitter about the statement at least being worthy of reporting whether true of false, Keith responded with:

He then goes further and asserts that he does not believe the statement because Peter Redding and the avenue used are unreliable:

When further pressed and asked what exactly he doesn’t believe, whether the statement is not from BZG or if BZG are lying, he clarified his initial statement with:

Many Newcastle supporters will feel exactly as Keith Downie does that releasing a statement like this, in this format, is very questionable. However the complete silence by Sky Sports and the Chronicle are very strange to say the least.

Also, I don’t think you want to go by the credo that you will only report what you believe to be true. That is for the audience to decide. And if your network is constantly trotting out the likes of Dennis Wise to pump up Mike Ashley, then you may not be following that credo too well.

I agree violence is not the way nor do I condone it but we do have some nutters that support nufc and as supporters we have been pushed to far

Whatever way people protest it needs to be sustained not just a once off!

I believe that BZG are 100% behind the statement, the problem I have is why would they release it in such a low key way. I’ve 2 opinions on that…

    1. They can’t release it first hand because of complications with NDA’s, but maybe they can give vague assurances through 3rd party outlets such as this.

    2. They are using it as a fall back if something goes wrong they can officially deny its credibility and say they didn’t say that. But legally the radio station is covered because obviously if they were told that in the first place by BZG then they obviously wouldn’t be going to sue the radio station, however they can deny it and just leave it at that.

    This is my worry!

We must be the only team that hasn’t signed a player yet. Even Chelsea facing a transfer ban have signed 2 players

    Naa
    That’s too easy
You can protest without breaking the law
They can’t legally stop you protesting

And some of those protests arnt illegal but will leave you foul of FA rules

    😉

According to a report in Northern Echo, Brighton are among a host of clubs interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden during this transfer window. West Ham, Wolves and Watford are also in the race, while few Championship clubs are circling around as well.

If Hayden wants to be close to his family then he needs to sign for Cardiff, after that a club within say one hours drive from onto south wakes which rather limits his options. And £15m isn’t enough as he’s a class act and will only improve especially if his family is around him. If Jose becomes Manager under BZG then he might like to rethink his options and move to leafy Northumbria with access to some of the best medical facilities in Europe if needed for family reasons.

Toon22 they cant legally stop you but they stop you in reality by sending in undercover agents dressed in plain clothes, to pretend they are part of the protesting, they then proceed to cause trouble and violence. Once there is reported violence then the law can legally step in and stop the protest.

This underhand tactic is very common in most countries and has recently been pointed out in a scandal in America in the past few years.

As I’ve said before nee-one truly knaas BUT if this Peter Redding bloke WAS in the know and he truly is a toon fan then he would know exactly what his ‘teasers’ are doing to us like minded souls. Therefore, he should put out proper qualification rather than dribs and drags or else he should face the ultimate same execution as the FCB.

Still a load of mugs on here I see! I remember many years ago when I used to post about Ashley and how things would end up! Shouted down constantly about how we should be thankful for him etc etc! I thought people would have woken up! There is nothing at all to suggest the takeover rumours are real! Not one thing! And now, we have virtually the same statement we had when Kenyon was supposed to be taking over! All stinks of Keith Bishop! Has anybody checked out whether he works for the BZG? Groundhog Day! Ashley will not sell a business that earns him well in excess of 100m per annum for what? Nothing! He literally gets it for nothing!!!!! Wake up man smell the bloody coffee

There has been no statement. Just a reporter spouting. It’s like Alan Robson saying something on nightowls like “I’d love it if someone bought the toon” and a load of arabs getting excited about his ramblings. Tis’ all baaalls.
