Will Newcastle United Sign Manchester United Youth Prospect?

Tribal Football have a report out that Manchester United youth player Mipo Odubeko will not sign a new contract to remain with the Red Devils.

The sixteen year old striker was called up to play for the Republic of Ireland U17 team in March. He is also eligible to play Nigeria internationally.

The report states that both Newcastle and Burnley are looking to sign the youngster if he does in fact leave Manchester United.

There is also interested from Dutch sides Feyenoord and Utrecht as well as Genoa in Italy.

The youth academy is in need of an injection of talent with only Sean Longstaff and Paul Dummett to break through in recent years.

We hope that Newcastle are monitoring all situations like the one of Mipo Odubeko and are ready if any of these highly touted youngsters become available.

geordiemark – Fat Sam another good bet retread with defensive style, prem experience and doesn’t want or expect much and from whom nothing much is wanted or expected. He did well enough at Everton with a defensive style and no goalscorer albeit they were a much better squad… I thought about him but isn’t he finally retired or you think he’d comeback for one more paycheck, He didn’t last with them but he left Everton an a relative high and why would he want to come back up here for the inevitable awful reception and after how Ashley did him last time.

A new head coach is the current crisis problem for Chutney/Ashley. Then they’ll release a tiny bit of funding for players as the window closes and run away and hide. If (more like when) things go wrong there will be a sacking, probably in November with a new flunky brought in.

    Meet the new boss
    Same as the old boss
On and on it goes, and the quality of the names being mentioned gets worse and worse. Have we all noticed that? Who’s next that follows that trajectory? I hate to think.

If Bruce is appointed he should be given serious stick from the off.
    Stooge appointment that’s why.

Within hours there will be those on this blog who say – He’s got to be given a chance.

What we 100% don’t want is fighting between the two factions ffs. If people have got out of bed, left home, got on the Metro, drove there, got a bus or train – whatever their mode of transport – they’ve clearly decided to go to the game. That’s their choice. Not yours, nor mine, or anybody else’s. Confrontation will lead to Newcastle fans fighting with Newcastle fans – I guarantee it. Who wins then? Nobody has the right to make a decision either way as to what another person does. I cannot condone that shit. ‘Burn the programmes’. Remind you of anything?
Not needed. Someone will get hurt and I guarantee it won’t be Mike Ashley. Grow up.

I don’t think Fat Sam will be approached simply because we had him when Ashley first arrived and he was let go after a few games. Same with Shearer. Both are reminders of previous Ashley failures.

Someon was wondering about the season ticket deadline being extended. The official site is still offering an option to extend, with season tickets going on general sale on the 15th July 10am.

Take over or no take over you do not let a football club drift with no manager.
They have known since May that Rafa would not be here.

    It’s way beyond stupid.

Next week is surely the last chance to get a decent manager in and save the season. Money would have to be released for incoming players of course. We have Miggy, Gayle and Muto to build around in attack I suppose. That looks like pacy counterattack play to me, not down the wings and crosses to the box to the midgets. I hope that’s what a new manager would have in mind. Also another attacking mid would come in handy. I’m honestly surprised more players haven’t left. They must be waiting until closer to the end of the window to avoid more attacks in the press and from the supporters’ groups. What’s happening with Hayden for example?

We’ve seen the faithful on here defend the signings of:

    Saivet
    Cabella
    That Argentinian striker
    Lazaar
    Joselu

That’s only to name a few. These posters, the same who cling onto the BZG takeover, are a massive problem for this club. They feed Ashley the acceptance he needs to run the club at league one investment levels.

Jib, forget it pal, didn’t think it was for one second..

Hibbett, I hope you’re right. Big step up from his last few jobs. Boyhood club bollix, he might think I’ll never get this chance again. I am worried. Seriously mate. If he appoints Bruce then nobody can say he’s not doing this deliberately. As crazy and childish as it sounds, why else would you knock back van Bronckenhorst for Steve Bruce? On what planet does that even remotely make sense?
If we had a poll, who would be your worst choice of manager, Bruce would be in it near the top. (No previous managers involved). He’s seeing how far he can push us.

Shearer did take Mikes pound note, I don’t hold it against him, I have always said I would still love Shearer to manage the toon again.
Thing is, Shearer would not even put a mackem top on for charity or a man utd top for that matter he genuinly wouldn’t.
Bruce on the other hand!!!! just the worst.
Looking at Pardew n Mclaren as I mentioned in an earlier post, he “Bruce” fits Charnley’s bill perfectly.

GeordieTwo/Posada – correct. In basic terms, Ashley’s got pi$$ed off about something (or just got pi$$ed) and screwed the deal, again. Now it’s back to the “management” to fix his stupidity. Again.

I absolutely guarantee eventually news will come out about how Ashley did something pathetic, and greedy, and thick, and petty, to screw over a deal. Not from Ashley, of course, who couldn’t give a stuff and woudn’t listen anyway. And what will we be able to do about it? Same as always – absolutely fcuk all.

Except this time, I’m done, so at least there will be no “next time”.

I wonder the purchase of newcastle has hit snags due to mike buying land that used to be owned by newcastle, or the lease did.

Mike Ashley was successful in getting planning permission last year to develop 115,000 sq ft of office space, 162 residential apartments and accommodation for 420 students.

    He’ll make a bomb out of this…

This has got to be the strangest summer yet. Nobody is fooled by the Ashley tactics anymore. I’m not surprised he can’t find a manager. The word is out on him and his clowns at the club. Ashley also knows that whoever we do finally get will be a huge step down from Rafa. If, together with a poor new head coach he won’t sanction any decent incoming and lets a few more players go (I mean if he flogs a few more for good profit) I see no possible way to save the season other than to avoid relegation by finishing 17th by some miracle. Some of the good work done by Rafa will last for a season or two but attrition and poor new coaching will destroy that eventually.
