Mohamed Diame has finally found a new club. He will join Qatar Stars League club Al Ahli on a two-year deal after failing to secure a lucrative move to another Qatari club.
Here is the official tweet from his new club.

Two weeks ago the news was that Diame was about sign a massive £100,000/week contract with Al Gharafa. He was expected to join former Newcastle target Vladimir Weiss and former Dutch international Wesley Sneijder at the club.
Incidentally, Al Gharafa has just signed former Fulham coach Slavisa Jokanovic to be their manager so they must be willing to spend big to get players and coaches to join them.
Sources in Qatar says Mo Diame arrived Doha to join Al Gharafa SC.
Medical will be next as it says.#NUFChttps://t.co/ZHKoqiLxXz— ?????? (@bashar_1975) June 10, 2019
However, the Diame to Al Gharafa news then went silent and no announcement was made of a deal. But it looks like he may have failed his medical at Al Gharafa.
DONE DEAL: Mo Diame signs for Al Ahli on a two-year deal.

Mo Diame will leave Newcastle after falling one start short of triggering a contract extension for another season with the Magpies. The way things are shaping up, it looks like we certainly could use him this season.
His experience and also familiarity with Steve Bruce from his time at Hull City might have proved invaluable.
We wish Mohamed Diame the best of luck in Qatar and hope he does well for his new club.

Comment #81Been reading the blog for a while now without getting round to making a profile. Anyway thats sorted now do I just wanted to mention something that’s personally helped with the frustration, anger and general sick feeling im sure we all have.
Any online disruption we can cause to his business empire (anti Ashlie replies on his various social media business pages / negative trustpilot reviews / filling up and abandoning shopping baskets etc) all help in the war to get him out. Im sure there are other ways too.
It is a war we have here to get our club back, may as well have a laugh screwing his tat empire over

Comment #83Could be a well constructed sham, nothing more..
There could be a business link to BZG, pcp, Kenyon and Fatty.
Mike gets to save some transfer cash, gets shot of Rafa (who was too ambitious)
While BZG get some lovely exposure showing how much cash they have. Great for city investors like them..

Comment #86Naptoon fair play, again its getting numbers involved in as many disruptions as we can. He doesn’t like this stuff and usually follows up with a PR push to calm everyone down. Were obviously way past this point now.

Comment #88Nicholas Rage, re leaflets all over the city, stickers on the metro windows etc – sounds great in theory until you realise that there is a cost attached, which means that the printers need to be paid, so the protest groups need to raise money and that opens a right can of worms.
If you raise money, you have to be accountable. You have to register as a charity with a duly elected board, have an AGM and audits etc.
The Magpie Group did a fundraiser a year ago and ended up giving all the money back once they realised what was required.
The only group set up to do this is NUST and their goals are different – they don’t want to be seen as a protest organisation, they have a long-term aim to buy the club and won’t get involved in that kind of thing.
So, great idea, but difficult.

Comment #89Naptoon true they are, but as I say sometimes its just a good way of getting a bit of anger and frustration out …
Theres plenty of other businesses in the empire too, and when they are getting stick too it opens the eyes of a bigger audience.

Comment #90two wrongs don’t make a right. disrupting any business can lead to real innocent people losing jobs. i expect it’s probably just a few young lads saying stuff like that and most of them are probably just all mouth. this isn’t defending MA it’s about being socially responsible.

Comment #92Couple of months back a few on here wrote lengthy posts about how Rafa and Tubbs liked each other and could work together.
You boys need to apologise to the blog.
Some of the same bunch, and others more recently aggressively added to the paltry evidence of a takeover with shite about chopper watch and plane watch and Companies House data which had sweet FA to do with any takeovers – taking the small amount of evidence to astonishing and bogus heights, like a pied piper leading others on a wild goose chase.
You lot need to apologise to the blog as well for being naive greenhorns and promise not to give your opinions for at least a couple of months.

Comment #96I know for a fact mike knew Kenyon years ago.
Kenyon worked at umbro, then at man u who were used umbro as their kit makers..
mike has a small stake in umbro.
They were both part of the replica kit fixing malarkey with England years ago, 2003.
Im sure theres all sorts of little shady back scratching with each other..

Comment #99Have BZG shown proof of funds?
They released a bizarre statement, claiming all is sorted and with PL, why has the PL reportedly denied they’ve received anything?
As much as I hate ashley, it seems if the reporting is true that BZG have struggled to show any proof of funds

Comment #107Nobody knows Our Toon. We only have various statements attributed to them. But are they real? I can’t say it’s easy to continue to believe in the sale going through. So much time has passed and now this manager nonsense. It just doesn’t have the look of an orderly takeover. I would think we’ll get a statement from BZG within a month saying they tried but Ashley put up too many roadblocks.

Comment #110Mister Tuff, get over yourself, we’re all adults and we all know the score – the intention to buy is and always was real, what was never certain was the intention to sell.
Nobody ever said that the situation was any different. Any info that came out was only ever shared in that spirit, after that everything else was pure speculation on timings.
There’s been some far higher profile people than anyone on this blog, also acting with the best intentions, duped by Ashley’s actions in the past and I daresay he’ll do the same in the future.
Bambams for one has shared specific information on here about a full-on row between Charnley and one of Rafa’s coaching staff, so I don’t think Charnley’s relationship with Rafa has been misrepresented other than by Rafa himself (not putting any blame on him, it was no doubt well-intentioned diplomacy).

I’m not the only one who was singled out for barracking when pointing out the ITK’s were winding social media up and were misinformed at best, liars at worst.
It got really personal and I can easily find posts where certain individuals were looking forward to the day when I and others would have to grovel and come crawling back to the blog or disappear forever.
Here we are, no sale, no Benitez, Fat Mike still rifling the club for loose change, and the utterly contemptible hiring of Bruce as manager, yet those same smug individuals are now authoritatively dishing out all-new opinions on the state of the club.
I’m sure they’re cringeing on the inside wondering who remembers all that. The answer is we all do 😉

Comment #116I think there probably were a mix of motives among the in the knows. We all know there are WUMs on here and on Twitter and everywhere else. But also some people were genuine and wanted to share what news they had. The wilder the claims the easier it was to sort them out. Ultimately it doesn’t really do any damage but I think it raised peoples’ hopes (including mine), and now they are deflating. I feel frustrated and fed up like most on here.

Mike promised to get his staff on permanent contracts instead of zero hours. He lied again and failed to do so.
The problem with SD staff, 80% are zero hours but actually get enough hours.
Mike prefers zero hours to skip on maternity pay, sick pay, holiday pay etc.
