Reports That Martin Dubravka Is Unsettled With Top Clubs Ready To Pounce

The Daily Mail are reporting that Martin Dubravka is now unsettled on Tyneside with a slew of clubs ready to take advantage of the uncertainty at Newcastle.

The report list five clubs with interest in our Slovakian shot-stopper. Two of the clubs are part of the Premier League top six in Manchester United and Tottenham.

The other clubs are Aston Villa, Monaco, and Porto. The fee mentioned for Dubravka is said to be £12m which is a pittance compared to the harm his departure would cause.

Martin Dubravka– reportedly upset with state of the club

Martin is basically our only goalkeeper right now. We do have Karl Darlow, Rob Elliot, and Freddie Woodman but none are top-flight quality at the moment.

Any approach for Dubravka should be met with stringent opposition. The player is a vital member of the squad who would be hard to replace.

In fact, Newcastle are in the market for competition for Martin so losing him could prove disastrous.

The report says that Aston Villa are looking at Dubravka as a cheaper alternative to Jack Butland who Stoke City have set a £12m price tag on. Can you imagine the scenes if Martin Dubravka was sold to Aston Villa?

This summer is just beyond belief. We have to hope these developments are inaccurate, though we also understand why Martin would be devastated with the loss of Rafa Benitez.

Is there anyone near Lincoln who can go and give Bruce an unmitigated ear bashing to make sure he is left without any doubt what he is to expect from us if he does take this poison chalice

Who are these loan players who are getting 30 ish goals between them ?
    Without a manager ?
In a team that’s going to be in disarray

Although I have no wish to get into yours and Bills argument, I have to admit I am astonished that he brought up this particular point. It’s one of Ashley’s biggest failings as owner.

I wouldn’t want to give everyone more false hope, and I have used so many pinches of salt that I now have shares in Saxa 😀

You’ve all got to agree that only thing Ashlie has ever done for NUFC was to stop them being the next Leeds Utd when he got rid of all the high paid prima donnas when we were first relegated. He pruned the wage bill and kept us solvent. Since then there has been no ambition shown and he has progressively profited from sales of our best players. Investment NIL. Sadly ruining this once great club.

This season is the culmination of all of those lies
    All of the fakeovers
    This is the end result
It was always going to end badly
Well here we are at the end
From here we’re circling the drain
The only profit left will end the club
If the league don’t step in from here they truly don’t care about the rules

    West Lancs

On Bruce’s family. Yeah that’s the one glimmer of hope I am clinging to.

On the “not doing a Leeds”
Yeah that’s true enough. He steadied the ship, but when it was time to weigh anchor, he just didn’t. Proving he had no intentions other than for us to be an income stream for his greedy pockets.

    West lancs
But even doing a leeds is obsolete.
With the money that came with the prem after the Ashley years we wouldn’t of even needed an owner.
Just proper management of the funds that came in. Plus increasing our revenue streams would of had us in the top 6 ie a top 7.
Look at spurs they’ve done it.
And we were better than them when Ashley turned up

They are going to have a team in the prem fail to either full fill their fixtures in an orderly manner
Or have fans wanting to get the game abandoned

on the basis that jabba the hut will sell anything, beginning to look like we will struggle to field a senior team next season.

How on earth did we get here, oh yes, we have a fat greedy c**t as our owner. In fact he even gives c**ts around the world a bad name

I never cottoned on before but Kevin Judas Nolan had Shola at Notts county, who better to advise him that of you said nice things about Mikey you would get a job, these footballers might be minted but they’ve still got big Bill’s to pay each month and haven’t got an endless supply of money.

With hose still at the club, Hayden not putting up a stink about moving, Longstaff not sold.

Not able to pay for a manager or buying any players, although they have allegedly been approached and not dependent on who the manager is.

    Silence from the club.

    Might be my age but…………….

    Jazzy P and whoever.

    1) We need to wait and see for now. By 3rd August we will know the score.

    2) Need to make a distinction between boycotting the Arsenal game and staying away full stop.

    3) Folks need to get behind the boycott for that one day.

    4) Have to say I will be boycotting Arsenal unless there is substantial change.
Take over. Clear statement from the owner with serious manager appointed.

    5) This is what I think will happen. Silence. Stooge in place, essentially a yes man. Some money spent on players. Say a Joe Linton etc. Basically a repeat of summer 2015 when Mitro was signed. All are hopes on a young lad who had never played in the Prem.
Totally crazy. Other misfits like Thauvin signed as they fitted OMCs template, but could not be fitted into a team.

    6) If 5 applies I’ll be calling it a day. Already been conned into paying £200 or so for this coming season. No matter I’ll take that hit. Can’t stand a repeat of the Old man Carr/McClaren season. Simply a laughing stock.

    Markaccus, Jail and the rest,..

So NUFC are the only stepping stone club in the league??

What part of reality don’t you get??

EVERY club bar the top 6 in England are a stepping club.

I bet 95% of the top players in EVERY club have been sold because they wanted to play for a top side and get the wages those clubs will pay.

And, even the top 6, not just in this country, are often feeder clubs for the likes of Real, Barcelona and PSG.

Many agents won’t allow their top up and coming players to sign contracts for more than three years because they know if they do well the big clubs will come calling and with a shorter unexpired contract the fee will be lower and they and the player can trouser another big deal.

MA tried to stop that with 5 year contracts and its the reason why we got, at the time, the overvalued fees for Wini and Sissoko.

You need to pull your heads out of your ar$es and stop trying to kid yourself that Ashley invented or transformed us into a feeder club – he didn’t.

It’s called the REALITY of modern football.

And just because I don’t blame the FCB for everything under the sun doesn’t make my wanting him out any less true.

That’s what the demented, obsessive Jail can’t get his cabbaged head around.

At the time when Pardew moved to Palace, and left us with Carver, everyone laughed at Palace for paying compo to us for Pardew. I think it was something in the range of £6M-£8M.

If we pay compo for Bruce, reportedly in the £5M range, that would be right up there on the list of top embarrassments under Ashley.

    And for good measure…

Suddick. Pop Robson, McDermott, Kennedy, Supermac, Gasgoigne, Waddle, Beardsley… all of the top players we’ve had… were all sold.

And, every single one of them was a better player than any that we’ve sold in the last 12 years.

Ashley transformed us into a feeder club.

    Utter nonsense.
