L’Equipe – Bruno Genesio Was Choice Of New Takeover Group

There is a very strange report from L’Equipe that Mike Ashley has turned down a deal of €400m from another Emirati group that had involvement from Peter Kenyon.

It does not appear that this group is connected to the Bin Zayed Group or their reported takeover.

The report has comments attributed to Bruno Genesio’s agent saying that he was the choice of the group to become the manager if the takeover occurred.

This is what the L’Equipe report states that Genesio’s agent Pini Zahavi has stated:

“He was their candidate. We will find something else for Bruno.”

We have to wonder what is going on with the reports from France today and if they are just getting partial information. This could explain the report from Le Progres which stated that Genesio was due to be appointed.

The report also dubiously claims that Michael Chopra led a group in a failed takeover as well. This no doubt arises from his comments on talkSPORT this morning where Chopra claimed he put a Saudi group in touch with Lee Charnley about their interest in buying Newcastle.

Unfortunately, all of this seems to be just speculation based on unsubstantiated claims. Unless something else more substantial comes to light, all signs point to a Steve Bruce appointment.

Making light of it all was inevitable, for there is a light that never goes out…

    I’ll see myself out.

    The next Mike Williamson

I might be cynical due to the circumstances but do you believe any player we have truly has any care for the club?

And what does L’Equipe know about a private sale? About the same as the Chronicle I reckon. Just more muck raking.

So the posters that are happy to turn up, not protest and support Bruce – I presume are more than happy with the current situation and running of the club – Probably why we are where we are if we accept shite like this – Hoping someone else will do something or hoping that one day hopefully if we keep paying for our season tickets and behave like good boys Ashley will think I’ve had enough of this easy money lark and the fans deserve better and sells up – wake up – if you bend over don’t be surprised what happens

What affect is the weakening pound have on these dealings? The longer we wait the worse it’s going to get. After the no deal it’ll be a far cry from it’s curre value.

Right lads I need advice, I’ve e mailed the LDWA and they only deal with pathways in scenic areas as do the Ramblers association, while trying to research it I’ve noticed that a couple of hundred mackems marched to London earlier this year for something to do with Brexit, does anyone know how I would contact anyone involved on that march to get advice on the routes etc or if the chronicle would know.

    Just a fan,
Perez is a number yen who scored 12 in the premier league. He also gets tackles in and is a technical player who thrives with others similar around him to play quick one twos etc. He’s never had that at usc until almiron. 30m is cheap

Joelinton. Big donkey who got 7 goals in a bundesliga that’s fallen apart because of Bayern’s policy of buying all the players from any team that threatens them. Even young English players like lookman have torn that league up recently.
    Price 35m plus

    Calvin Phillips. Championship. 25m perhaps

    Perez is a bargain

I was going to mention the mackems brexit march to you. I believe they had a website with a live cam etc. They probably altered their routes to pass through brexit hotspots. If a bunch of dumb mackems can do it, then it can’t be that hard. One problem you’ll face as Geordie’s is passing through Sunderland.

Tramp, tsunki (now known as Tarquin after his woefully boring sociology lecture about the club not being a club) and others who are getting a bit ridiculous. As soon as the season starts and the team walks on, there will be a huge roar. If ritchie whips a ball across after 2 mins, there will be a huge roar. I would support an arsenal boycott but this bile towards the manager is way OTT. He may be a bit of a tool but he is the clubs manager ffs. He isnt ashley. And then we have guys wanting us to be relegated. Another fool wants to burn the shirt! Would some of you ever cop the fcuk on??? Tsunki/tarquin, can you confirm the status of your support for nufc currently? Actually dont bother Tarquin you’ll bore the crap out of me.
