Report From Germany Refutes Claim Of Deal In Place For Joelinton

German outlet Kicker is reporting that any move for Hoffenheim striker Joelinton from England is not as advanced as recent claims suggest.

News broke yesterday of Newcastle readying a club record deal for the Brazilian. These reports were from the Daily Mail and the Telegraph.

It was Luke Edwards of the Telegraph who furthered the claim when he stated that a deal was in place for Joelinton:

Newcastle have a deal in place to sign Brazilian striker Joelinton from Hoffenheim, but the need to have a manager in place is growing more urgent by the day as they also need him to give the green light to that transfer.

This is what Kicker is reporting today:

At the moment, Joelinton is at the training ground of TSG Hoffenheim in Zuzenhausen despite reports from England that the transfer of the attacker is nearing completion.

It is also planned that the Brazilian will travel with the club to their training camp in Windischgarsten.

According to information received by Kicker, an imminent departure of the 22-year-old is not to be expected, even if Newcastle United was already after the prospect in the winter.

The report also says that the fee could be well past the reported £36m from yesterday.

It details the recent departures of left-back Nico Shulz to Dortmund for €25.5m and midfielder Kerem Demirbay to Leverkusen for €32m to suggest that Hoffenheim have no need to sell.

This makes perfect sense as Joelinton just had his contracted extended in November to 2022. Last season was also his first with the German club after he spent two years on loan in Austria with Rapid Vienna.

They may see Joelinton as a big part of their future and be unwilling to part with the player.

No to sound too cynical but this report came at the same time that Newcastle extended the window for people to renew their season tickets.

While it’s most likely coincidental, you can’t blame anyone for making that connection.

Jib/Jane wants the collective to love him now. The easiest way to do that is to say something against me.

Apologies for how long this message is, long time reader who infrequently posts!

    When Is It Over? #Boycottornot

How do you know when you’ve finally reached the point of no return? When putting your footballing relationship together again is simply too much of a stretch? In the end, of course, the answer is personal. But if your answers to the following questions are irrefutably“Yes”, it might be time to let go. #Boycott #forthebest #badmarriage

Does every situation, no matter how seemingly trivial, evolve into a fight? #Yes #No

Do you continually refer to hurtful events in the past? #Yes #No

Has all the respect gone from your relationship? Do you feel it is impossible to bring that respect back? #Yes #No

Have the clubs aspirations changed, whereas you have stayed the same? #Yes #No

Is your club no longer maintaining your individual but realistic expectations any longer? I.e to compete, challenge etc, etc #Yes #No

Have you & the club both changed so much that you no longer share moral, ethical or general football values? #Yes #No

Have you & your club lost the art of compromise? When you disagree, are you unable to forge a path together that is acceptable to both you as supporter or MA as a fit and proper owner? #Yes #No

Do you & your club have a basic incompatibility? Do you feel completely detached to each other, Despite help from supporters, professionals, legends, journalists etc etc! #Yes #No

Have you stopped being in love with your club at this juncture? #Yes #No

Lastly do you want better for you and your club #Yes #No

If you’ve answered #Yes to most if not all, you clearly see this relationship between fans & owner not working & therefore we need to come together for the bigger picture, united against 1 man!

If you answered #No to most if not all the questions, you have the right to support & follow the current regime & continue to encourage the negativity knowing you could help be the solution & be rid of issue destroying our club #bethesolution

Michael Chopra on Ashley’s ownership of Newcastle – “It a disease. Every year it is getting worse and worse. Do I personally think he wants to sell the club? I don’t think so.”

Why can’t you support your fellow supporters.
I’ll tell you why. You are self obsessed.
Everything is about me me me and what I think.

Any group action needs folk to compromise to a degree. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
You could never support a group action as it was not your idea.

If folks had not backed each other years ago we’d have no human rights. We’d have no democracy. No right to vote. Bugger all.

    Shearer has been quiet.
I think he should put the city, the club and the supporters before personal friendship.
    Or does he know something.

    I hope so.

Like BobbyBee and Munster in former years and Jail
more recently I toured the country with good mates as
part of the Toon Army – brilliant time – great laughs –
    never to be forgotten memories.

Then I’d meet some of them in later years and shock
horror , for whatever reason the passion had gone

    girls – family – work – whatever – but it’s just a natural
    progression I guess.
Guys I’ve seen lifted by the polis at grounds from Anfield to Cold blow Lane
now couldn’t name a current NUFC player.
Playing rugby took me out of the loop for a while but I never stopped
going to SJP when I could.

I guess for some support of NUFC is just a phase in their life but not for me
