Report – Newcastle To Hire Ex-Lyon Manager

Le Progres is reporting that former Lyon manager Bruno Genesio is soon to be appointed as the next Newcastle United manager.

The Sun’s Alan Nixon, who broke the news yesterday that Mike Ashley sent over £4m to Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri, today has reported that the offer has yet to be accepted.

So maybe Ashley has decided to move on to other targets if the progress for Steve Bruce has in fact stalled.

The Chronicle have an excellent write up of Bruno Genesio who Newcastle were linked with earlier this year.

This would be a stunning turn of events which would be most welcome at this point in time.

Genesio managed Lyon from 2015-2019 with a 55% win percentage and 1.8 points per match average. We think he would be a more exciting appointment than Steve Bruce at the moment.

This is what the report in Le Progres says in its entirety:

Bruno Genesio, who coached Olympique Lyonnais from January 2016 to May 2019, could sign up with Newcastle on a four-year contract. This club in the North of England is about to be sold to a billionaire (who comes from Dubai) having close relations with the owner of Manchester City.

And Bruno Genesio aroused the interest of this entity in England. Newcastle finished 13th in the last championship and ended his collaboration with Spaniard Rafael Benitez last May.

He is in England

This legendary club, with a speaker to dream. The stadium of Saint James Park is regularly attracted by the French.

We remember that David Ginola enlightened beautiful evenings from 1995 to 1997. While the former Lyonnais Claudio Caçapa lived there two unforgettable seasons from 2007 to 2009.

Bruno Genesio is currently in this city, agitated sometimes by the frost, and humidity, but passionate about football to an inestimable point.

The challenge is there for the former OL coach. The “Premier League” resumes on August 10, and if Lyon’s Bruno Genesio, engages, it will be immediately on the breach.

Bruno Genesio, who was on vacation, returned yesterday to Lyon, before joining Newcastle, to conclude the formalization of a new and beautiful experience.

This is certainly interesting news which we hope is true. It is interesting that they mention the club is about to be sold. Maybe there have been some stunning advancements in the sale to BZG that have led to this new development.

Though the mention of Claudio Cacapa is not quite how we recall. We kind of remember that Claudio Cacapa’s time on Tyneside was eminently forgettable.

Though the fact that we instantly remember that Portsmouth game may make his time here, in fact, unforgettable.

If we employed a mackem as chairman, hell bent on destroying us, let’s say that idiot who shat himself in the stadium of light or the one who dived head first into 5 inches of water in Trafalgar square, would he be making worse decisions than the current regime are or would he be doing the same?

That lass is nowhere near orange enough but the hair looks genuine. Anyway if you look closely through the window you can see the Berlin wall is still up. I’m guessing this was last March in Riga. Don’t show the photo to his missus though he was supposed to be at a UEFA coaches convention in Towcester.

    Yeah I know, it’s all rubbish but hey – I didn’t start it. 😀

    Beaten Panda,

Any more insults you can think of?

At least Robleenio asked some questions and he’s got my answers.

Let’s just repeat your claim. which was basically…

“I don’t agree with most of your post”.

    I asked a simple question…

    “What don’t you agree with”

For all the bull$shit swerving, ducking, diving and insults…

    YOU CAN’T ANSWER THE QUESTION.

That Panda boy is the truth of the matter.

Everything else from you smacks of desperation.
