Newcastle’s Danish youngster made his preseason debut for the Newcastle first team today and seems to be over the moon with the experience.
The club earlier tweeted out a section of his post-match interview in Nanjing. He has just come out and tweeted about his joy with his debut.
Over the moon to make my @NUFC debut today. Dissapointing result but we look ahead to saturday now! Congrats to the boys on their debut aswell delighted for yous ???? https://t.co/AITXaKItma
— Elias Fritjof Sørensen (@EliasFritjof) July 17, 2019
It was good to see some of the young lads make their debuts today in a tough afternoon. The conditions were also rough in the sweltering heat of China but it was good for the team to get a run-out without any injuries.
It was a disappointing result and especially so for young Thomas Allan who had the unfortunate deflection into his own net for Wolves’ fourth goal.
The other youngsters to get a run-out tonight were Owen Bailey, Matty Longstaff, and Kelland Watts. This will have been a good experience for them.
We are very pleased to see the genuine elation that Elias has expressed in his interview. We are really happy for him.

Comment #161Sky where there and a few people spoke. Like OP said I didn’t like it when they chanted about Ashley dying and having a party. It puts us in a bar light. The Chronicle bloke said Ashley hasn’t got the money now to run us. That’s why he’s stole all our money.

Comment #166Sorry if this has been covered, not had chance to catch up on this evenings comments…Had a text from an Owls mate earlier, said SWFC asked for 2 players plus £4m compo for the SB deal. NUFC refused this!! So it looks as though MA hasnt lawfully appointed SB?!!!

Comment #167We can’t even make the BBC sport football gossip page with the Joelinton news. Does that mean it’s bollocks or they just don’t care to look to the northeast?

Comment #168Chicago is a native American name for the area. I worked across the street from where the whole place started at the Wrigley Building and Fort Dearborn across the river – yes, where the gum is from and what Sinatra sings about.

Comment #169ToonRich, makes sense – they’d want Aarons and Lazaar who were on loan with them last season.
Them plus cash seems a bit rich, though like.

Comment #177Cabbages and the White Swan at Dinnington.
Used to frequent the White Swan in my courting days about 40 odd years ago. Went in to get a meal but were too late. The lady of the house said she would be able to do some sandwiches though. So me and the now missus ordered some turkey sandwiches.
A few minutes later we were presented with our sarnis. Excellent amount of turkey slices in a stottie with a coleslaw made up of grated carrot, thinly sliced green cabbage (cannonball) and thinly sliced onion with a dressing of olive oil and white wine vinegar, and salt and pepper. One of the best sarnis ever. The lady of the house gave us her recipe and we still make those sarnis to date. Slight change to the dressing by the addition of lemon juice.

Comment #188Well, I’m done going to the match or watching on tele, until Bruce has gone at the very least, , yet you have been a million more times more vociferous than me over the years, many have vowed like me to not watch or renew season tickets, yet you hated the owner with a real passion but have not?

Comment #193I think that 90 mill will legitimately be available, of course whether it actually gets spent is another thing, given the way we haggle endlessly. But we essentially just speculate on young players, mostly foreign anyway, with the success rate at around maybe 50%, meaning we end up with unbalanced squads lacking in depth.
We’ll probably get Joelinton, but will we get adequate cover.
We’re lucky we have the platform that Rafa built to help in this transition, and a list of his targets, but hanging your hat on simply speculating on foreign young players, well on balance, it just doesn’t work at this level, in this league.
You’d hope few will be fooled by a decent spend this window, Ashley’s got to go.

Comment #194Abe: I have to admit that you did teach me something about Chicago. I had never heard that before and I worked in The Wrigley Building for 17 years which is across the street from Fort Dearborn which was the original settlement of white men here.

Comment #195Definitely think that Aarons and Lazaar should be given to Wednesday. Give them Colback too. Three decent players for them, and gets them off our books freeing up space.
