Joelinton To Newcastle Is Nearing Completion According To Hoffenheim Boss – Player Is Set For Medical

Goal journalist Ronan Murphy has tweeted out the following about the Joelinton to Newcastle deal. The deal looks to be almost complete and will be our first transfer business this summer.

The Mirror also have a report out confirming that new Hoffenheim boss Alfred Schreuder has announced that Joelinton will leave the club.

This is what he has said as reported in the Mirror:

“It’s not my decision, that’s what the club does,” declared the head coach, who replaced Julian Nagelsmann this summer.

“It’s always the same in football: when players leave, it also opens up room for other players, and of course it’s a shame he’s leaving, but it’s also a matter of philosophy.”

Well he doesn’t sound too happy as this is the third big departure behind Nico Shulz and Karem Demirbay for Hoffenheim this summer.

This is a good start to the Steve Bruce era though many more signings are needed to solidify the squad for the season ahead. This will also be the second club record signing this year after Miguel Almiron’s arrival this January.

Here is a scouting report of our soon to be new striker written by World Football Index.

    It’s insane, Rafa Benitez a world-class coach gets a £5m Joselu, Steve Bruce a coach gets a £35m Joelinton??
You couldn’t make this sh*t up!

Jimily – the purpose of the blog us to report news , ed and Neil have shown where they stand and have many times slated Ashley – if you think they are making a ton of money from this site you’re sadly mistaken – have you ever tried running a fan blog for money – it’s virtually impossible to make money without selling stuff or having millions of readers clicking on adverts and this blog has probably less than 10000 unique readers and most likely under 1000 regular readers

Its to shut the fans up. Buy something expensive even if its bollix and they will come. We could have had Rondon for 16 million. But no, lets spend some cash on an unproven striker.
And it will work.Almiron is a good example. God knows what he is thinking. Maybe I phooked up? The idiots will be back and Rafa will be forgotten. It may take another 30 million buy, but Ashley will be testing the water. he knows he is dealing with children in a chocolate factory.
You want a bigger choc egg?

Jazzyp – charnley has actually done a sterling job , we’d have gone bust signing good players on actual prem wages – can people not see the wood through the trees
The dynamic duo of Ashley and Charnley have saved the club over and over and they finally rid us if that cancer of Rafa with his defensive minded , I mean what does a modern training ground actually give you in points in the prem… I’ll tell you..zero, absolutely zilch – we don’t need pansy types expecting modern state of the art – soft bloody southerners … You’re up north now mate – we like it rough n ready

Jimily , I actually agree with you, I was making a point that I doubt very much this blog makes much money – it’s a labour of love from a dedicated fan who ( like myself) managed to persuade a son many miles from Newcastle to also support the toon ( sorry Neil .. 🙂 )

I have no problem with Bruce taking the job. He was offered it so why not take it?
The head coach is not the problem.
But he better start winning games pronto because his life is going to be unbearable if he does not. Same for any other manager who took the job.
The fans seem to actually want the club to fail to get rid of a certain person.

But the writer of the blog does need to address the boycott. ASAP. Over to you Ed. I welcome your thoughts on the boycott even if we disagree. But writers on here need to know your standpoint.

Steve Bruce has denied he’s an underwhelming replacement for Rafa Benitez, “Sure, he won La Liga, the FA Cup, UEFA cup, Europa League, World Club Cup, European Cup, Italian Cup & Super Cup but in 2004 I got Birmingham to 10th. It’s six of one and half a dozen of the other” #nufc

    ToonMatt,
You can’t explain it, it is illogical, unfathomable, it goes against the very essence of competition. Knowing a top manager will keep you afloat so give him the bare minimum. A middling journeyman Championship manager is bound to struggle so blow the bank on him to keep you afloat while devaluing the asset. Please somebody help me understand this.

I have not set foot in the ground for 6 years and been to the odd away match.
I do not want Bruce to fail and have never booed a manager the way the fans did with pardew and Big Sam. But it says something when the owner offered the job to a guy he has already sacked???? The one the fans shouted at “You do not know what you are doing.”
Is that not a case of deliberately vexing the fans?
    He has to go.
But he will stay if we keep turning up.

He is being given a squad minus 28 goals, Diame and Kenedy that Rafa Benitez struggled with due to a very disjointed preseason. All the players that Rafa wanted shot of to Championship clubs are returning to the PL including Wearside Jack. So unless Bruce is better at managing than Rafa Benitez we’re in for a long dark season, oh and we won’t have 49K people singing Stevie Bruce to the tune of La Bamba anymore.

Rafa got fans to the stadium. Joelinton is purely bring signed in the hope of getting season ticket sales back up. Nothing to do with improving us at all. Its just Jabba trying to get the weak back.

I feel a bit sorry for Joe Linton.
He will cost 2.5 times what Rondon would have cost but we know already he will struggle to be a better player. Certainly not 2.5 better.
He needs to hit the ground running otherwise he will be the new Jose.

Ashley is so devious he can now get the media saying look how much money he’s spent! Well it’s actually about £3 million when you look at Ayoze and Joselu sales! 3 million!
Now if there’s a successful boycott we’ll be called “deluded”!
By the way I don’t think we should ask Ed for his opinion on boycott as the blog is divided!

It’s taken phatt boy 12yrs to break the bank to get Almiron (poor sole) Why on earth would he want to spend another 30mill on another player just 7months later…
Don’t ever forget guys, this bastard is an out and out liar (allegedly).
HE’S trying to soften us up.. He’ll just go, and sell all the decent players in 12month anyway.. LIAR. LIAR. LIAR LIAR. LIAR

If true its just to try and appease the supporters. When Almiron was brought in in January everyone forgot what a POS MA is and all of a sudden he was great….after 1 signing. This is the exact same and if Joelington is signed most will forget the last 12 years gladly give their money for more of the same.

Some folks are hoping the twatersaurus will sign Charlie what’s his name from Soton.
But he’s 30 and yet phart features wouldn’t sign Rondon because he was too old at 29.
Mind, I wouldn’t put it past him to do just that… just to piss us off.
I’m sure wobbly boy’s doctor has got a certificate somewhere proving he is Sane… but I would love to see it myself though…

I have to wonder if there isn’t something that has happened behind the scenes that we know nothing about. I don’t know how things work in Europe but is it possible that a merger happened that is still silent. Only time will tell but if the regime keeps spending money and the players are outside what we got the last few years I have to believe that someone is injecting cash.

Something still does not make sense to me on the outside looking in.

I am done with the club until MA is gone. Rumors of a 90 million kitty but wont invest a few million into upgrading facilities. Rafa to Bruce…what a joke. He is a leech.
