Newcastle Much Improved And Lead West Ham 1-0 At The Half

Newcastle started off very well in what looked to be a 3-5-2 formation with Muto and Sorensen upfront. They seemed much more comfortable and controlled the midfield.

Having two strikers upfront with Ritchie and Sterry out wide worked very well as Newcastle had the best chances.

Jonjo Shelvey released Hayden down the right with a beautiful pass in the 8th minute. Hayden’s subsequent cross led to an excellent chance for Elias Sorensen who skied the ball over the net.

It was a disappointing miss for the youngster who should have done better with the chance.

The 25-minute mark brought another prescheduled water break but it was back to Newcastle controlling the game.

Yoshinori Muto got Newcastle on the board with an excellent finish in the 33rd minute. The delivery from Jamie Sterry was very good.

This was a lively display from the lads who looked much improved from the last match against Wolves.

“Yes we played well in the 1st half and we are winning. That is great.”

“So any positive talk from anyone here will just prolong Ashley’s existing ownership”

The “that is great” was sarcastic – it means nothing when we have players like colback who people seem to forget were awful for us in previous years

Rondon And perez form was much due to almirons arrival Because of his pace And movements. Rondon And perez is two players which is not too hard to replace. If Bruce is allowed to spend 90 M + fund received on potential sales i dont think It will be a relegation battle this year. No major signings would be crazy, Even for MA. I dont like him at all, but It is not in His interest to Only Get 17th place eachother year as some say on here. Not from personal or a Business perspective.

Shola the shite spouting the positives of having Colbeck and Gayle on Sky Sports.
A much better performance today Shelvey, Ki, Longstaff and Hayden is a decent midfield with Almiron to spearhead them. The additions of Joelinton and Austin/Wellbeck ? would be huge. Colbeck as mentioned puts in a shift but lacks the quality. Pleasing performance !!
