Forbes Says Joelinton Deal Could Rise To £48M With Kicker Reporting Announcement On Monday

It’s not often that a Newcastle incoming transfer will make headlines for its extravagance in a business magazine. But that is what has happened as Forbes magazine has done a feature on the Joelinton deal to Newcastle, which incidentally is yet to be announced.

Here is a tweet from the author of the Forbes article Manuel Veth.

The article starts with details of the money Hoffenheim will make this summer off their outgoing transfers (over €100m). Apparently their Sporting director Alexander Rosen predicted that the club could make that much if they wanted.

This is what Rosen said a few weeks ago:

“If we want to we could earn over €100 million (£90 million) by selling players this transfer window.”

At that point they had already made €57m in the sales of two players. The Joelinton deal was most likely already in the works at that time as well.

The article then delves into Joelinton’s journey from Brazilian side Sport Recife as an 18 year old to an almost £50m Premier League signing for Newcastle United. It is an excellent article with lots of information on our soon to be record signing.

The article also details how Hoffenheim sign and develop young talent.

We certainly hope to see Joelinton announced soon and the word is that he may be unveiled in the new away strip.

If you say so munstro. Because we all believe every word you say about yourself, like you’ve been a coach etc. If anyone thinks getting challenged for their opinion is bullying then they can’t have played rugby I bet the only thing you’ve seen thats egg shaped and worth kicking is your heed in the mirror. Tarquin etc etc etc snooze…

Sorry you feel that way Nicky, I like most of your posts it’s just funny some of those throwaway lines you don’t like being ribbed about seem to make you awful sensitive. To each their own.

Tsunki – Munstro shall we call you, while we are about with the absolutely childish name calling?

Can you call out all of those as well who have called me a to$$er, cretin, arsehole, etc.,

Or do you just reserve that for those you don’t agree with?

    Tsunki,

You talk as if you are the sage of the blog.

You act as policeman, arbitrator and judge and it is plain that you consider your views to be always correct and the likes of mine, jibs, and musters to be nothing more than an irritation at best and horrific at worst.

    Keep up the good work.

Normally I don’t mind being ribbed at all Tsunski. Either on here or in the real world. But you’ve given me stick twice now, without saying specifically why, which makes it hard to understand, respond to, or ignore.

Anyway, in the interests of a quiet life and a bit of solidarity, let’s move on.

    Tsunki,

    Seems I’m not alone.

No doubt you’ll be trying to put a negative spin on the Joelinton signing.

And anyone who puts a positive spin on is a mug.

Reckon most on the blog are generally tearoom whingers, always complaining about something. Its a growing problem in british society, everybody miserable and angry. If its such a stress to follow the team, do something else life’s too short eh.

    Perez £30m + Gayle £15m = Linton £45m
Any other difference coming from the saving between Rafa and Bruce’s salary

Ashley isn’t spending his money. Transfers are just a form of money laundering for all clubs.

Almost feel sorry for Linton ( presuming we aren’t pipped at the line).
If he doesn’t hit the ground running it’s going to be what a waste of money from both opposing and home fans.
If he does well it’ll be – so he should for 50 million ( or maybe it’ll be 100 million by the time he actually signs )
Poor bloke can’t win and he ain’t even in the hotel room with barnetta yet!

Presuming the team returned yesterday from China
the coaches and players will probably need to have
    at least today off.
So the Joelinton signing although acknowledged as
a done deal in the German media may not be
    announced until tomorrow

Why don’t we just give Gayle a year extension to his contract will only cost wages, no fee. Gayle and Almiron will be a real handful together.

Jolinton will bomb in the Prem.

According to L’Equipe in French media the Toon will revive their interest for
Nice winger Allan Saint-Maximin, after the club lowered their asking price.
