PSG Left-Back Favored By Rafa Now Available For Cut-Rate Fee

Longtime left-back target Stanley N’Soki is reportedly available for just €7m. The player is considered to be surplus to requirements at PSG with the French Champions looking to cash in on the youngster this summer.

This is the tweet with a link by Get French Football News.

Stanley N’Soki was close to joining Newcastle on loan last summer before N’Soki decided to stay in Paris and fight for his first team place.

He was able to earn a contract extension in September to 2021 but saw limited first-team opportunities behind left-backs Juan Bernat and Layvin Kurzawa.

N’Soki could be a very economical buy for Newcastle whose scouts will know all about him. He would also provide cover in central defense which would allow Newcastle to cash in on Ciaran Clark or Federico Fernandez if necessary.

It does appear as though N’Soki has no future at the Parisian giants and now would be a good time for Newcastle to take action if they are still interested.

PSG have also signed Dutch U19 international left-back Mitchel Bakker from Ajax who they will presumably hope to groom for the future.

St Etienne are said to be interested in N’Soki however they prefer signing Mexican club Tigres’ left-back Timothee Kolodziejczak permanently after having the player on loan last season

“There have been a couple of things said – and the big one is whether I am going to sit here and be a puppet,” he said.
“That won’t happen – I am in charge of transfers. To say I won’t be in charge of recruitment has insulted me.

“Let me tell you, if I thought I couldn’t have control of transfers, then I wouldn’t be doing the job.

“We’ve talked about budgets and it was pretty straight forward.

“I think Mike has always been pretty straight about that – whatever the club brings in and whatever we generate by getting players out, we’ve got to spend.

Barnes’ role at United has never been defined by the club, by Ashley or by the man himself but he is a regular presence alongside Mike Ashley at Newcastle matches, along with PR man Keith Bishop . It is a high-profile place to be but Barnes – who has no prior experience in football – remains determined to stay low profile.

But in the accounts Ashley says after media coverage prompted a review of his relationship with MASH Holdings, he can confirm Barnes’ role is “advisory” only and he does not take any management functions.

Reckon most on the blog are generally tearoom whingers, always complaining about something. Its a growing problem in british society, everybody miserable and angry. If its such a stress to follow the team, do something else life’s too short eh. Waiting for lots of angry aggressive posts. ?

Looks like we’re shopping in the bargain basement again! Loans and cut-rate fees.
Joelinton is an exception; let’s hope he’s decent as nobody else seems to want him!

Is there anyone else who thinks Schar could be dynamite in midfield.

He actually reminds me of Franz Beckenbauer who was every bit as good as a sweeper, CB or CM

If I was Bruce I’d defo give him a few games in the centre of a midfield 5 along with Shelvey, Longstaff, Hayden (if still here) and Murphy/new signing.

    He could be sensational.

Almiron in behind or alongside Jouleinton….

    Looks good to me.

Not sure why shelvey is so excited about bruce. Bruce normally plays centre half hoofball from the 80s /90s.

Nobody else seemed to want Durbravka, Schar or Almiron.

If he is as good as those other ‘nobody’s’ we’ll be laughing.

Nobody wanted Rondon either, including most on here.

Just counted and the last five posts have been about football and the team. Who would have thought it eh. Our midfield could be dynamite with Longstaff, Ki and Shelvey. Something Rafa was too defensive to go for. He never was convinced by Jonjo who i personally believe is as talented as any current english midfielder. Up the Toon

Would be nice if a minor disagreement on team selection was the norm again. Danny Simpson and Pardew were god awful by the way. Bruce is better than Pardew by the way. He destroyed a great squad of players with god awful football.

If Bruce plays more attacking football we will just get beaten by more goals. We dont have the talent to play that kinda game without severely weakening our defense.

I’m up in the air regarding Shelvey. He hits a canny long ball but so do Schaer and Lejeune and if Shelvey takes it off them at the back it limits their effectiveness in that area and leaves us a man short further up the field.

I’d rather see Shelvey in an advanced role around the box playing key passes into his team mates. He’s never had enough assists in my opinion considering the level of skill he possesses. I know assists are not the be all and end all by the way.

If Bruce can get him further up the pitch and leaving the Hollywood balls to the two centre backs, he’ll make him a more effective player.

The way Rafa had us set up last season made Shelvey redundant in our team.

Longstaff is also adept at that style of long ball also by the way.

That is a very compelling argument you make. I see how you connected Pardew finishing 5th to mean Bruce will too.
