Luke Edwards Reports Isaac Hayden To Stay At Newcastle

Telegraph reporter Luke Edwards, who has been right about Steve Bruce as well as Joelinton, is reporting that it looks like Isaac Hayden will be staying at Newcastle this year.

Here is the tweet that Luke, who is currently on vacation, has sent out:

This is excellent news as Isaac has become a top player at Newcastle as well as becoming a leader on the team. We had suspected with recent comments that Isaac may be staying at Newcastle.

He recently spoke glowingly of Steve Bruce as well the prospects for the coming season.

This is what Hayden said last Thursday after the pre-season victory against West Ham:

“Everyone was waiting. It’s a big thing for the players, the manager coming in.

“Look, I’ve worked with Steve before. I know the type of manager that he is and the type of man that he is.

“In the circumstances at the club at the minute, I know he can bring togetherness.

“I know what he does on the training field and what style of play he wants to bring in. For us, at this moment in time, it’s a good appointment.”

“I think everyone’s realistic and knows where the club’s at at the minute. We haven’t got superstars in the team that are going to make the difference by themselves like other teams have.

“We’ve been over it with Rafa so many times. It’s well known. We’re a well drilled side. We’ve got players that care, want to do well and improve.

As I said, it’s about working together and sticking together. Hopefully, we’ll get the results needed.”

It certainly sounded, at the time, like Isaac was fully focused on Newcastle United. We hope Luke Edwards is correct and maybe Steve Bruce has had a talk with the player and assured him the club would work with him on his family situation.

    santon3,
Are you the same bloke that used to post awhile ago when Santon was actually here?
Are you honestly suggesting that the players this multiple trophy winner didn’t rate were unhappy when told their attitude was wrong or they weren’t good enough were glad when he was gone. Jeez, that’ll explain Wearside Jack’s extravagant purse and hairdo on the first day of training.

    SANTON 3:
Hayden stays, is it because rafa is gone now? it seems same thing happened in Napoli happened again in NUFC.
Rafa was about to be sacked before he resigned and moved to Real. Many players were unhappy when he was there.

What a load of ;ollocks man! Get to the Arsenal game and support Ashley!

Considering how long it took to get Joelinton over the line how many more players does Charnley have time to sign? Mike: take your time now Lee, we are in no hurry to spend more cash unless I say so.

G2……Not so much a takeover but as others have alluded to already, im thinking maybe he got some investors on board. Or maybe BZG(if they even have money) can’t run the club through conflicts of interest or almost like ashley is laundering their money and spending it God them(I’ve heard before that their money might not be legit). One thing Is for certain nothing is adding up to a situation that makes sense the past 3 month’s. And with Ashley things or motives have always been crystal clear and made sense, as much as we probably never liked the outcomes. Also spending big is not like Ashley hes had multiple windfalls before and never spent big, things just doing add up and dont sit right with me, as much as I cant completely explain why.

Like others have said, I’m not the only one who has said this but I’ve just a weird feeling over the past month that I can’t put my finger on or explain why.

Imagine the money this club could make sports direct if it were in the champions league. It would be win win. Spurs got there by investing well. If mike had invested in Rafa incrementally that could have been our reality. But instead, he’ll invest in Bruce.

santon3, you’re going to have to prove that statement. I need quotes from players who didn’t like him.

Otherwise I’ll have to go with the impression of Maurici sarri. who replaced Benitez at Napoli

At a press conference, Sarri told reporters: “I have to say thank you to Rafa. When I arrived in Naples I had the feeling that the team was almost ready to play my football. If I arrived after another coach it may have been more difficult for me.

“I have to say thank you to him. He’s a very good coach.”

    Robleenio,

The simple fact is when I make any post that contradicts the majority view on here I get abuse in one form or another.

Many times that just takes the form of bile with no attempt at debate, other times my views are ridiculed by smartar$es trying intent on intellectual oneupmanship or, like you have on occasions, my posts are completely misrepresented to suit an agenda.

I couldn’t give a monkeys whatever, but the strange thing is when I disagree with the replies to my post or give the same treatment back that I receive – I’m the one who is accused of rubbing people up the wrong way!!

    There is an old saying…

Don’t give it, if you can’t take it.

    I can take it…

The real problem is many on here can’t.

so if for arguments sake Joelinton cost £ 37 million . how much is our war chest 90 million . 30 million or Perez . 7 million out of the War Chest . that leave us £ 83 million …

still some wheeling and dealing to do yet …

another forward . 1 or 2 tricky wingers . a good ball playing midfielder . a decent right back …

We’ll see IrishRob. I haven’t heard the money laundering for BZG thingy before. I doubt it. I think they can move their money around quite easily no matter where or how it came to them. Big players have no problem with that (look at Jared Kushner for example). I think we’ll find it makes perfect sense in the end. Wor Ashley likes the occasional Wow signing (remember the Ashley comments about the Coloccini signing)?

Bill’s I think you talk a lot of sense sometimes, and you just like to keep an open mind on here when others are being naive to put it mildly. But you don’t help yourself with the nonsense u do also come out with and the fighting. If you gave an opinion without talking down to people it might go better for you. But as it stands most people are just going to disagree with you now whether you have a good point or not.

Bills, I don’t see it that way, you’ve been coming on here with the express purpose of winding OP up over the last couple of days. Not sure why you do it, really, when you could just make a footy comment and ignore each other.

Bear in mind that you do have views which go against the majority of posters and against the mood of a large percentage of NUFC fans. You’re bound to get someone challenging you by stating these views, you shouldn’t be surprised when it happens. I’ll personally reserve my right to disagree with you whenever I want and to question your motives for saying what you have done. I’ll be civil while I do it though.

Not sure I’ve ever misrepresented anything you’ve said – you normally tell things exactly how you see them so it would be hard to misrepresent, honestly.

There’s another saying – if you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Maybe something to bear in mind?

G2…. see what I mean if that’s true thats Just not Ashley’s modus operandi. Up until 6 months ago he never spent more than 12-13M on a player in 12 years. You could hand Ashley 100M in cash free and he still wouldn’t spend 40M on one player. Looking at it as an Investment or no investment it’s still not Ashley’s style.

You could be right IrishRob. To me it doesn’t look any different sadly. One good player for a decent price. I agree it is a huge jump upwards for him and I can’t really explain it. Somebody surely has whispered in Ashley’s ear that Joelinton is the next Big Thing or he really is worried about the seasons ticket sales and the general impression the supporters are giving about boycotts etc.

Ah, Santon3, Gonzalo Higuain who was bought by Lorenzo di Michailis against the wishes of Rafa who wanted Leandro Damiao instead?

Rafa refused to play Higuain as often as Higuain wanted and had been promised. He was one of the main reasons why Rafa left Napoli. He’s also only one player.

Not really sure you can use him to argue Rafa lost the dressing room at Napoli, honestly.

It’s going to be interesting ,to see what the injury situation is like this season . Not many people mention this , but Rafa and his staff , had a brilliant record for keeping players fit . I’m not talking about match injuries, because they can’t be helped , but for years ,this club had a terrible record for injuries sustained in training

But has JoeLinton been signed ?
I’ve seen a Twitter clip of his body double walking down to the pitch
His look a like has been seen having a photo taken at SJP
    All fleeting glances, teasing glimpses
Slices of cold pizza carefully placed on the corner of the seats with loose change scattered on the ground to suggest that you know who might have been there to claim responsibility

A man with a blue shirt and a Roman profile seen at distant in the stands – was it, is it, Bruce, Steve Bruce himself?

    I need proof.
Is there an official club statement and an official photograph yet ?
