Luke Edwards Reports Isaac Hayden To Stay At Newcastle

Telegraph reporter Luke Edwards, who has been right about Steve Bruce as well as Joelinton, is reporting that it looks like Isaac Hayden will be staying at Newcastle this year.

Here is the tweet that Luke, who is currently on vacation, has sent out:

This is excellent news as Isaac has become a top player at Newcastle as well as becoming a leader on the team. We had suspected with recent comments that Isaac may be staying at Newcastle.

He recently spoke glowingly of Steve Bruce as well the prospects for the coming season.

This is what Hayden said last Thursday after the pre-season victory against West Ham:

“Everyone was waiting. It’s a big thing for the players, the manager coming in.

“Look, I’ve worked with Steve before. I know the type of manager that he is and the type of man that he is.

“In the circumstances at the club at the minute, I know he can bring togetherness.

“I know what he does on the training field and what style of play he wants to bring in. For us, at this moment in time, it’s a good appointment.”

“I think everyone’s realistic and knows where the club’s at at the minute. We haven’t got superstars in the team that are going to make the difference by themselves like other teams have.

“We’ve been over it with Rafa so many times. It’s well known. We’re a well drilled side. We’ve got players that care, want to do well and improve.

As I said, it’s about working together and sticking together. Hopefully, we’ll get the results needed.”

It certainly sounded, at the time, like Isaac was fully focused on Newcastle United. We hope Luke Edwards is correct and maybe Steve Bruce has had a talk with the player and assured him the club would work with him on his family situation.

Players are always split on their support for managers. The managers have to make unpopular decisions at times and there’s always someone out of the team! Jonjo was out and probably gonna be sold by Rafa so he got lucky as he seems to love the Toon! Hence his support for Bruce; then again you’d have to be stupid not to support your new manager!

I see the FA is investigating us over the Bruce signing. A slap on the wrist I assume? Mikey hates fines though. How to get the money back? Steal it from a pensioner? Mug a blind person? There has to be a way.

Just compared some stats of Haller vs Joelinton
Haller has three years on Joelinton and was some way off his return at 22. Maybe a good deal. Having looked at a few YouTube videos I will say Joelinton doesn’t look the most mobile. Time will tell. As it stands we go down this yeR. Few more bodies and who knows. I placed £250 on us to go at 4/1. 3 or 4 more starting xi players still needed. You can’t be going into a premier league season with the likes of Muto starting
