Hull Live is reporting that Newcastle’s odds of signing Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen have been recently slashed.

Over the past seven days, Newcastle’s odds of signing the twenty-two year old has dropped from 10/1 to 5/2. This seems to coincide with Mark Douglas’s tweets from last week about Newcastle’s interest in a good Championship winger.
Am looking into one that I think might come off

We really like Jarrod Bowen and think he would fit in really well at Newcastle. He also has some history with Steve Bruce as he joined Hull’s youth system when Steve was the manager in 2014
Jarrod Bowen– would look great in black and white
Arsenal were linked with a £12m swoop for Bowen a few weeks ago according to the Sun. He has also been heavily linked with Everton where his former manager Marco Silva currently is.
However, it is now Newcastle who has leaped ahead of recent favorites Southampton as the leaders to land the very exciting winger.
Yesterday, Newcastle were heavily linked with another right-sided forward in Nice’s Allan Saint-Maximin. There were rumblings that Steve Bruce looked into the player but did not like what he had heard.
Saint-Maximin has reportedly fallen out with Nice manager Patrick Vieira over his lack of commitment during the end of this past season.
There may be something brewing with Saint-Maximin though as he has reportedly liked the signing of Joelinton on Instagram.
allan saint maximin on instagram, think it’s fair to say he wants to come and might be coming! #nufc pic.twitter.com/BYDw96TWJz

Nice reportedly want £25m for Saint-Maximin while Newcastle reportedly rate him at around £15m
Either player would be a great addition to Newcastle’s squad. Bowen is a left-footed wide forward who plays on the right with an eye for goal.
Allan Saint-Maximin is a master dribbler who would certainly be a crowd favorite though he has been known to be a selfish player at times.
Could one of these players be headed to Newcastle by the end of this week?

Comment #4For a moment I thought that they spelt it as “noom’.
Irish astronauts doesn’t bear thinking about Father Ted in space.
The Republic of Ireland’s postal service has apologised for spelling “moon” wrong in Irish on its new commemorative stamps celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo landing.
The postal service, known as An Post, launched the stamps last week.
Four astronauts are featured on the stamps with Irish ancestry.
The Irish word for moon is “gealach”. But the stamp accidentally spelled it “gaelach”, which means being Gaelic, Irish or relating to the Scottish Highlands.

Comment #5The negotiations to sign Joelinton would have started months ago whilst Benitez was still in charge and well before he quit.
The idea that the money to buy Joelinton comes from the sale of Sean Longstaff, who would have been out injured at the time, would not seem to hold much credence unless Benitez had secretly done a deal with Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Comment #12OMG, folkes buying St just to see our new signing…. Playing right into phatt boys spotty greasy hands.
It’s up to you all what you do but are we not going to be a laughing stock to the rest of the league??
We raise awareness about the horrendous way our club is run i.e the handling of Rafa
Then its OK o n ce we break the bank for a single figure goalscorer.
Mashley is playing you all again… Pleasa don’t fall for it… Good luck

I think we are all now waiting for the downside that might happen.

Comment #158 goals for £40m, bargain.
Waste of 70 days of the transfer window.
Unless the kid improves 300% in 2 weeks it’s a waste of time and money
I’d rather Ketsbia9 spent the money.

Comment #16Joelinton, it’s a start, much, much more to do!!
I like the 6 year contract, gives him time to develop and protects our investment, unless he is s**t and we get lumbered with him for what seems like forever ……..
Cant believe we have paid £40million cash up front?!
If so, then still £51 million to go? Anyone buying that??

Agree mate, And as I posted I hope Joelinton proves to be a worthy No9 for us because boy are we gonna need him. We are still a 10 goal player down and whether Almiron can fill that slot remains to be seen.My axe to grind yesterday was with a chap that felt the need to have a dig at fans for being cynics and not sticking by the regime..Hence the beggars belief comments.
To be truthful it wouldn’t surprise me if it was another regulars alt to wind fans up for the night

you havent been reading the blog then. call me whatever you want, you have the worst PL manager and 22 yo kid to replace 20 goals. so you.and others want to jump on those who didnt believe it? Yep, that helps. before today there was a net spend of 5 million in 12 years. people already rushing out to buy tix to fill the stadium first day. MA continues to feed us scraps and everyone keeps coming back for more.

Comment #20Saw a guy on twitter writing about how brilliant this signing was and how shite rafa was in the transfer market, only buying players that fitted in the team, lmao abs clueless, sure lets go just buy players for the sake of it, clueless twat, fats has his 2 fingers up again, this time at rafa, we’d hav had a loan deal done for some second rate striker by now if rafa had stayed, abs joke, good luck to joelinton and hope for his own sake he does wel but not for the sake of sports direct fc cos as soon as he hits double figures hel b gone for a nice profit
I could take the club being run on a shoe string with no debt and all that, generating it own money to buy players but the way the fans r treated is a disgrace, no cumminication and no respect for its greatest asset, no comment is all we got all summer

He’s scored 11 last term in 35 so pretty much 1 in 3. I would have preferred Jean-Phillipe Mateta for that money. Looks like Cisse decent finisher.

Comment #22Still think we should of got Rondon, he had so muchh more in his locker than i realised, good finisher with head and feet, strong, worked his socks off and couuld suprisingly hit a sweet free kick.
I hope this guy turns out good, only seen youtube clips, so im on the fence
