Report – Newcastle After Top Brazilian Prospect To Partner With Joelinton

There is a report from Brazilian outlet Globe Sporte that Newcastle have observed Vasco da Gama forward Marrony.

Marrony is a 20-year-old right-footed forward who can play across a front three. The report specifically states that Newcastle’s head of recruitment Steve Nickson has scouted Marrony in Brazil and really rates him.

The Chronicle did a nice report on Steve yesterday in which is was mentioned how meticulously he goes about his job.

Here is a tweet about Newcastle’s interest in Marrony.

This tweet roughly translates to:

ABOUT TO LEAVE? Striker Marrony is being watched and has interest from Newcastle in England. A proposal should arrive in the coming days. Marrony has a €35m release clause, but due to Vasco’s current conditions, it should be negotiated to a lower amount.

If Newcastle can get the young Brazilian for less than his release clause, and it sounds like they might, that would be an excellent move. Since they are making such an investment in Joelinton, it may be a good idea to have another Brazilian in the squad.

This is especially true as Marrony fits a pressing need upfront. This is an exciting link for Newcastle and hopefully, there is genuine interest in the player.

Marrony just extended his contract this past February and is now contracted to Vasco da Gama until 2023 so while they may be able to negotiate down the release clause from €35m, it will still take a significant fee to bring Marrony to Newcastle.

He has made 32 starts this season with 6 goals. The other club with reported interest in Marrony is Sporting Lisbon.

Here is some footage of the player on YouTube.

Should we be worried about Manu putting in a bid of 30m for Longstaff. A lot of money for a young player that only has a few games under his belt. Ashley will push for more re add ons, also will Longstaff wages have to reflect his current value. Can’t see Ashley agreeing to that.

Give it a rest Tat, someone passes on info that they’ve been told doesn’t mean he was ITK. There are very few people that know for a fact what is happening and if someone that seems legit and close to the deal passes on info it’s up to you to believe it or not.

Photo on Twitter looks very much like Joelinton at SJP with Ashley’s tame close protection ape.

Can you imagine the actual mess Jabba has the club in ?

Sports Direct has been a cancerous lump on Rangers ever since the immediate aftermath of 2012.

A poorly weighted retail deal was signed by the previous regime which led to Rangers getting a poor cut of merchandising and as a result a fan boycott.

    Lol, it was funny, tbf!

Anyone know who the guy is at the back of Joelinton? Looks like a footballer, but we’ve been linked with so many I haven’t really been paying attention honestly.

So we’ve allegedly signed Joe Linton but the club can’t be arsed to announce it… what is it with Charnley/Ashey and non communication – Can someone write to Putin and get one of his cronies to buy us and wipe out Ashley and Charnley

I don’t get all the hate towards DubaiMicky – he passed on information he’d heard over there in good faith – now whether the information was bollix or was true but the deal has stalled on something we’re not aware of I don’t know. As I’ve said before I love reading the itk stuff on hear even though most of it comes to nothing I think most are passing on what they’ve been told in good faith. So let’s not shoot the messenger otherwise everybody will stop doing the itk stuff and where’s the fun in that?

It’s plausible the sale of someone we’d rather keep is being finalised. Perhaps we have made a signing or two ourselves but the good news needs to coincide with the bad to cushion the blow and keep the cloth capped murmuring down. Present new player(s) with new kit on and manager gushing about pushing on and winning something and I’m a Geordie me ye knaaaa etc. Season tickets fly out like wasps from a bricked nest, protests over, back to normal.

Martoon – Mickey’s done his time now Tony b saw to that, however he can’t expect everyone to be forgiving seeing as he didn’t really rein in his assurances that the club sale details were all true. A lot of people put a lot of store in his surefire knowledge which in the end, wasn’t. Just has to live it down now and be wiser to being conned.

Because him and his dentist pal heard a rumour and added to it then added some more then knocked up HoT documents and invented timelines and abruptly stopped sharing ”his” info as soon as the journalists stopped writing about it.

i hope Joey hits the ground running but i can’t get excited about this signing given how the summer’s events have transpired.

We need at least another 5-6 players to come in and with the deadline fast approaching, i can’t see it happening.
