Newcastle Scouted Swedish International Right-Back Last Night

The Chronicle are reporting that Newcastle United scouted two players at Hull City’s friendly against Amiens last night.

The Ligue 1 club defeated Hull City 2-0 and Newcastle scouts were at the game. They were looking at Hull City right-winger Jarrod Bowen who has been linked with a move to Newcastle.

However, the Chronicle are also reporting that they scouted Amien’s Swedish International right-back Emil Krafth who started the game at Hull yesterday.

Emil Krafth is a 24-year-old right-back who has just joined SC Amiens this summer for about €2m. Krafth spent last season on loan with the French club and has just joined permanently from Serie A side Bologna.

Emil Krafth– Newcastle have scouted player

Krafth has made 20 appearances for Sweden and is a defensively minded right-back. He appeared 36 times for Amiens last season with 1 goal and 1 assist.

He joined Bologna in the summer of 2015 from Swedish club Helsingborg but has made only 45 appearances for the Serie A club.

We are not too sure on this link as Amiens has just made the player’s transfer permanent. We also feel like he would not really strengthen the squad at right-back over DeAndre Yedlin and Javier Manquillo.

Don’t know anything about him, but an international standard RB would be a welcome addition imo.

LB and another forward in addition to this guy, might just be enough to let us compete. Would still prefer to have a Diame replacement in too.

Just to add on from previous postings the HMRC allegations are income tax fraud, NIC fraud and VAT fraud.

The VAT on advertising is a non starter. IF SD had paid for advertising yes NUFC would have paid over the VAT on this however SD would have claimed it back.

    HMRC net gain is zero

Know nothing about this guy but does jot strike me as an improvement either. We need better and if he’s just signed for Amiens I doubt they’ll let him leave right now anyway.

Munster what’s sly about posting something on a worldwide blog? I’m pointing out you live to call me a liar baselessly about all sorts but we seem to have to take your word for everything.

Toonbeam. You cant just say something is worth nothing. If you transfer a service or a product and declare it is worth nothing. Fine. But if HMRC find out and prove that the product or service is actually worth £10 then they’ll want to see £2 VAT in the books.

This can be balanced with all the other VAT transactions in the accounts but you can not just value something at zero because it suits you.

The weird thing is that I was getting a bit swayed to thinking a boycott might work a few weeks ago, but after reading the views on here it had made me doubly sure it won’t work. This blog has solidified my anti-boycott feelings. It has also made me sure that whatever the ITKs say, do the opposite and you will be right.

Think the gist of what HMRC are alleging is the the club overpaid agents in the full knowledge that those monies were going to be split up and passed on (secretely) to other agents and players.

Mister Tuff, I’m not sure about the details of the case but I think the authorities are European led. I think someone will pay for a fiddle. Hopefully our first team squad (payment recruitment etc) will be unaffected.

Tony. You are “anti-boycott”? Good job you “live in Chicago” then isn’t it. Means it doesn’t matter.

Really can’t see what the fck you even claim to be standing for. Probably because you are nothing more than anti boycott and offer nothing whatsoever.

an article i found on kyle scott. it seems chelsea rated him. i thought he was a nobody being released, but he’s made the champions league squad and played a dozen games in the netherlands. looks a good intelligent player too. perhaps he’s refused a contract at chelsea in order to get games

Starting to get a bit worried about Bobbybee. Contrary to what some people think, I did not cause his ill health and was only questioning his change of mind on a boycott. Anyway, I hope he is OK but disagree with his drivel.

Dragon64: I have no clue if Joelinton is any good or not. His signing did not influence my views at all. It has been much more that if I do the opposite of what the influencers (newish internet term) say on here I will probably be right.

count: I questioned Bobbybee’s total reversal of his views that he had spent about 1 million words stating. You have a very short memory. Bobbybee would get very aggressive if anybody ever questioned him about going to games. It all boiled down to the same argument with him – it’s my money and I do what I want – but he would get very aggressive sometimes.

”I am not really interested in what’s gone on before.

“So far he has been straight as a die. I have asked him a few questions and I’ve got a few straight answers”

There can only be two possible conclusions to those comments. One being that despite concrete evidence that every manager before him has been lied to and badly let down that Bruce actually believes that he wants to push the club forward and the 17th is not just what he’s after. Tye second is that Bruce is lying through his teeth and doesn’t give s foot what’s happened before because he has no intentions of wi ning z cup or moving the club on and is just happy to be sharing glasses of wine with Klopp and Guardiola instead of Warnock and Woodgate.

ajs: not really. Bobbybee said NUFC was his life, his love, his everything. This blog is pretty meaningless to me and I have very little respect for a few on it, Dubai Micky being chief amongst them, but also Lesh. So, changing my mind and coming back is very different to Bobbybee’s change of mind.

Jail, a third suggestion is that he knows something that we don’t about the future direction of the club.

Don’t worry, I’m not being taken in by the new signings – we appear to have a £6M net spend with two in and two out so far – hardly Earth-shattering, no matter how good the players are.

There gets to be a point where anti-Ashley becomes anti-NUFC and it will create so much discord that it will affect the team. It has happened so often in the past.

I wasn’t saying it can be recorded as worth nothing. I was saying the VAT section of HMRC won’t care about it.

Say sell advertising for £1 they charge £1.20 to SD. SD pay this and claim £0.20 back on their returns from HMRC. NUFC then pay the £0.20 to HMRC.

HMRC Vat office have nothing to gain by picking them up on this…

Thing is the blog is just one window into what Newcastle fans are thinking but it is still a very small sample size.

    If you think about it:

52,000 go to matches each and there are many more Toon fans around the globe – and this is an expat blog.

So 52,000 match goers each week plus global fans
Several thousand blog readers i.e. 2000 or so votes on the last poll about free agent strikers.
Maybe a thousand registered readers who can post if they want to.
Maybe 200 intermittent blog posters ie. maybe just on match days
Less than 100 regularly post comments
And probably less than 50 are really active. Might even be closer to 20.

So only people who are really motivated will actually even bother to post, and naturally those with the most extreme views (pro or anti) will be motivated and the most vocal.

Some are Trolls and WUMs. Hope you can tell who they are.

Others just want a place to talk NUFC, that is enough motivation for them – and I think actually this is the biggest population on the blog – but not the most vocal and they tune out if the activists and wums are clogging the blog.

Just take it all with a grain of salt and don’t take anything personally. Enjoy the debate if you can or want.
