Picture Emerges Of New Signing At St James Park

The following picture has been tweeted showing Kyle Scott at St James Park. So it looks like an announcement could be imminent.

Football Insider reported earlier today that Kyle Scott was due to sign today on a two-year deal. While Kyle is one for the future, it is good to get another player through the door.

Here is some YouTube video of our soon to be second signing this summer.

He’d better not be Longstaff’s replacement!

‘all the tools to b a gud player’. It’s depressing having to read sentences like that these days. Why is it so hard to write normally?

Just in case anyone at St James Park or NUFC or SD reads this blog (which they don’t): PLEASE DON’T SIGN CHARLIE AUSTIN!

Looks like a promising young player. I would put him in the first team squad and let him battle it out against Longstaff, Ki, Hayden and Shelvey. I would sell Saivet ASAP.

Munster, IrishRob. Don’t get me wrong, wasn’t being parochial, I actually follow the Irish team at a distance with interest – they have made big strides recently and deserve the respect they’ve been getting from the ICC and the rest of the cricketing world.

I think the ball was swinging yesterday, big style. High humidity, lack of game time and the Irish bowlers hitting their straps all contributed and England just fell over. Something the Irish bowlers can tell their grandkids about, for sure, and it won’t hurt to put one over the old enemy.

That said, England are doing better today which looks ominous.

If I were to only judge on that video alone, I have to say I like the look of the kid. Dare I say I would love to see him coached by Rafa for two or three years. Still, in our current plight, I’ll take potential. Welcome aboard KS.

Looks like a decent player judging by that video. Passes well long and short, has a trick and likes to get in the box. More like a Gazza than any other player currently on our books. Perhaps a more recent example is Jack Wilshire.

Could probably play Number 10 quite comfortably with Longstaff / Hayden / Shelvey / Key behind him.

    Maybe a Perez replacement?

So frustrating to see the mood swinging back in the slugs favour.
Arsenal boycott will probably be a half hearted token measure.
Such a shame we cant force the slug out due to the acceptance of mediocrity by the many.
Couple of signings and all is forgiven as usually happens.
The takeover was a dream we had,but was never gonna happen(shame).
As someone close said to me it’s better the devil you know. He has his s/ticket and just accepts things as they are.
Suppose he has,a point that with the slug we expect little and that’s what we get.

Incidentally did anyone think that Steve Bruce didn’t look very well on BBC Look North last night. He also came across as not very certain in his chat. Suppose it’s because I am used to listening to the Gaffa speaking.

The picture looks suspect or at least old? The skies over SJP will not have been that grey at any point today!?!
