Sports Direct have issued their annual results just in the nick of time. It appears as though they do pay Newcastle United £2m a year in advertising rights.

Comment #81Muz. Avoiding VAT is really interesting for HMRC. It is a criminal thing. If found guilty you can go to jail and the proceeds of crime act can be implemented.
Not applicable to a listed company like SD but NUFC is wholly owned by an individual who would indeed be looking for shares in soap on a rope if the HMRC inspectors start digging.
