Could Newcastle Player Be Going The Other Way After N’Soki Deal?

Newcastle United have reportedly agreed to a fee for PSG left-back Stanley N’Soki according to French reports. However, there are now reports coming from France about PSG targeting Martin Dubravka.

RMC Sport are reporting that PSG are very interested in signing Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka if Kevin Trapp leaves the Parisian club. Any move by PSG apparently hinges on Trapp’s departure, with the German goalkeeper currently high on Frankfurt’s hit list.

Trapp spent last year on loan with the Bundesliga club who are keen to bring him back permanently.

This may just be regurgitated news from earlier in the week when the Daily Mail reported the exact same information. However, now that it is coming from France is a bit concerning.

Though, it is interesting that this story started yesterday after Dubravka’s absence from the friendly at Preston. He did play in the earlier friendly against West Ham and Steve Bruce yesterday said he was just rotating the goalkeepers.

Let’s be honest, if PSG really want Dubravka then he will likely want to make that move. This could be a big move for Martin, though he will have to battle it out with Alphonse Areola for first-team matches.

This has now become our biggest fear as it seems that both Sean Longstaff and Isaac Hayden will remain at the club. Also, any news of Fabian Schar leaving has thankfully gone quiet over the past week.

The drop in quality from Martin Dubravka to the next goalkeeper in the squad is very large. Martin is leaps and bounds above the others in the squad.

This is not the time to have to find an adequate replacement if one can even be brought in. To go into this season without Dubravka or a suitable replacement would put the club in a very critical situation.

We have to hope that nothing comes of this or that Kevin Trapp remains at PSG. This one has us a little concerned due to the damage it could due to our chances of being in any way competitive this season.

It would be crazy to sell Dubs. He’s proved himself very quickly, is clearly our no1 and is one of the best in the league imo.

How much will dubz realistically be worth?
He was a gem of a find, cost 4.5mill?
This day and age hes a pritty dam safe pair of hands, the price of liverpool and chelseas keepers
    Could dubz be worth 40mil?

    dubs worth more than perez
not so sure he is 40 mill but for me fool and chelsea over paid

but he is worth a lot more than we would pay for a keeper and i would not want to go into the season with elliot and darlow as no1

we wont do anything to keep him like offer him a new deal

Just remember dubz first game. Him coming in was the turning point of it all.
Saftey assured with dubz in goal.

He was unbelievable in his debut man some of his saves were top draw. Inspired man.

i’m sick to the back teeth of the condescending criticism that you level at nufc fans.these are the fans that spend there hard earned money to support there team fans that you take every opportunity to mock,
not good enough from a so called fellow fan, a claim which i’m beginning to doubt,
well enough is a enough from here on in i’ll be on your case at every opportunity be warned !!!!!!!!

Wonder if Kenedy will get some game time with Chelsea, don’t want him back with us but I’d like to see him making some sort of football career for himself.

Hope people on here not forgetting Ashley stand on transfers and believing we have loads of money left to spend. So far I believe £40 m for Joelinton plus agents fee and predicted wages over 6 years. = £61m that leaves £30 from Perez transfer left to spend. If it wasn’t for Perez we would have used all of our transfer on one player. Now looking for bargains hence the £1m bid for a right back. Re Stanley if true that’s us spent up. Always next year.
