Donyell Malen is a Dutch forward who turned down a contract extension with Arsenal two summers ago and joined Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven on a three-year deal.
Despite being a highly rated youngster, Arsenal were unable to convince Malen to resign with them. He opted to return to the Netherlands where this past season he was able to attain first-team football.
Malen is a right-footed forward who can play on either wing or upfront as a striker. He is an exciting young player who had an outstanding season for PSV this past year.
Donyell Malen– breakout season for PSV
Malen has just one year left on the contract he signed when he left Arsenal and he is being heavily scouted by West Ham.
This is a player who we feel should be on Newcastle’s radar due to his age and potential. We are not sure what fee he would command but with just the one year left on his contract, it should not be too high.
He would also fill a need for Newcastle as he is a versatile attacker. He also has been given the number 9 shirt at PSV which belonged to former Newcastle striker Luuk de Jong who has joined Sevilla this summer.
Here is the obligatory YouTube video of the player’s highlights.

Comment #139Munster if you’re talking to me, I’m from Kilkenny, I’m pretty sure you’re Limerick, could brvwtong though. But we talked about this months ago.
Hard to see Tipp loosing the all Ireland, I thought you’re Limerick would of had it in the bag. I think it was only a one off game for Kilkenny, dont think they’re as good as the game against Limerick suggested.

Good post
I think that the Belgian Tax demand was in public knowledge before Friday and Sports Direct would have known before that so either Grant Thomson were told and just pleaded for more time to check the impact on any results they were signing off to cover their backsides.
and/or
They were mislead by SD and refused to sign off results for much the same reasons.
Either way each will now blame the other and that could end up in a messy legal dispute and the Financial Regulators and Stock Exchange could be crawling all over this like they did with Philip Green and others before.
No wonder SD’s top management started to jump ship, it’s never nice to stand in shite but to be up to your neck in it
is even less fun.
Lets hope that investigative journalists bored with football transfer tittle tattle put some energy into lifting the carpets on this shenaigans.

Comment #142Genjikai: Bob Willis reckons the Aussies will win the Ashes. I would bet that most games don’t last until the 5th day, and if Jimmy has one more series in him and one of the top three batsmen can do OK then it will be close. I am not sure if I would even pick a spinner for the first test but they will as that is the accepted way to do things.

Comment #154lochnivar – apparently Deloitte are SD’s tax advisers and by all accounts they DID know about it. His accountants/auditors were the last to know and a case could definitely be made that there was intent to deceive investors as to the health of the business; it depends on how this information was finally passed to Grant Thornton, in particular if it was divulged voluntarily by SD, divulged by a whistle blower or uncovered as part of the audit. I can’t see GT uncovering it though on the day they were to be released.
You’re right though, high level management dropping out after years of service should have been an indicator that things weren’t great and I’d suspect that the decision to leave would be more down to trying to avoid criminal accusations; it might be a publicly traded company but directors and management can be held personally responsible if they can prove an intent to deceive. Who’d want to do bird for that fat crook?
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if it turns out if regulators, the SFO and stock exchange weren’t investigating this already. If that kind of news leaked, that share price would just vanish. Look what happened with BHS!

Why is Rafa’s picture still on the blog?
Like it or not he’s history.
If you haven’t got the balls to put Bruce’s picture up at least take Rafa’s off for a player or the fan’s celebrating a goal.
The longer you leave Rafa’s picture up the sillier it gets..

Pretty sure Mbabu was interviewed and said he wanted to leave, that he hadn’t been ready mentally to move to and play for us. I wouldn’t put any blame on Rafa for that one.

Comment #159At the risk of being slaughtered again. I think we will not be relegated. Our competition for the relegation places have not really bought anybody. Brighton, Sheffield and Norwich will go down.
We will get a winger and a fullback and probably a couple of loans. Maybe from Man U as Bruce has contacts there.
We just have to make sure we keep Longstaff and Hayden.
I do fear that Fatty will force us to sell Gayle which will be a massive mistake if we don’t already have a replacement.
