The Sun recently reported that Newcastle were plotting a £1m bid for Swedish international right-back Emil Krafth.
Some follow up reports from France claim that an official bid has yet to be made for the player but that there is definite interest from Newcastle. However Newcastle are not the only club interested in the Swede, who joined SC Amiens this summer for just over £2m.
There is a report in France Football that has posted a quote from Krafth’s agent Patrick Mork.
The quote simply states that “He (Krafth) interests several big clubs”. The other clubs interested are not named.
Though, another report in Inside Futbol states that there are three clubs interested in Krafth and that one of those is a Premier League club. The other two are said to be a Russian and a Turkish club.
Newcastle recently scouted Krafth when Amiens traveled to play Hull City this past week. They also, subsequently, scouted Hull’s right-winger Jarrod Bowen.
Newcastle interest in Bowen seems to have cooled due to Hull’s demands of a £20m fee for him.
It seemed to us that Newcastle see Emil Krafth as a low-priced option at right-back. However, SC Amiens just signed the player this summer and will certainly not want to lose him.
So it will take a significantly higher fee than the one reported in the Sun to bring the 24-year-old to Newcastle.
The one aspect that could help Newcastle is that the player would most likely want the move.

Comment #9Newcastle continue to do everything at snail pace, Charnley sees the finishing line, keep squabbling over a million or 2, untill you annoy the seller, someone else swoops in or you run out of time..how long has Saint Max dragged now? Most likely not going to happeen.

Comment #10i agree with 9. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is no more incomings or outgoings, Joey was a classic example, this is a player who was lined up months ago and look how long it took to get him over the line.
If we get off to be a bad start or go through a bad run of results (which we will at some point) i wonder what the reaction from those who go to games will be. All of our eggs are being put into the Joelinton basket and if he doesn’t hit the ground running we are in big big trouble.
