Newcastle United Announce Completion Of Two Transfers

Newcastle United have just announced the signings of free agents Kyle Scott and Jake Turner.

Midfielder Kyle Scott joins after leaving Chelsea where the 21-year-old has spent the last 12 years.

This is what Scott says about joining the Magpies:

“I’m really excited. Newcastle is a massive club with massive history, but for young kids there is an opportunity – you see that with (Sean) Longstaff and what he did last year, and it’s a good opportunity for me.

“Newcastle are in the Premier League, and a massive club. You look at the kind of players that have come through here and how much opportunity they have got, and I feel like at this place they do give it as long as you’re working hard and playing well.”

Jake Turner, a goalkeeper, joins after leaving Bolton this summer. The 20-year-old was a top prospect a few years ago who drew interest from Manchester United.

This is what he has said about joining the club:

“It’s excellent for me, and I can’t wait to get started. Stepping up to a Premier League club is massive.

“We’ll see where I progress – playing in the Premier League is a dream – so we’ll see what happens.

“It’s a massive club, and I can’t wait to get going here.”

This is excellent news as we had expected both to be announced soon. We hope they are excellent additions to the U23’s where they will begin their Newcastle careers.

Rather hoped it was a decent striker and a full back for the first team.

I suppose that will allow Woodman out on loan for the season possibly Matty Longstaff too?

    Toon22

The share drop will barely hit Ashley in the pocket but he can buy them up to increase his stake at a cheaper price which in the long run makes him richer

Nowt wrong with a couple of youngsters coming in

We do need to get Soki, Nice winger, DM and another forward signed up though

I’d be happy with 2 out of them 4 required but something makes me think it wont happen……ahh that something is the regime which disappoints time and time again, only thing they are consistent at though

    Welcome to these lads
Both know the football world and being part of NUFC and the Premier League is a great step forward for all.

Looking increasingly likely we’re not improving our first XI but possibly might meet the same level as last year with unknowns such as joe linton

We have however drastically reduced the quality of our coaching staff

    So far relegation looks probable

The bus is at the next stop, but to answer a question from the last article….

Bills Son (and any others that are interested) – regarding the picture of Rafa – there have been some technical difficulties of late with the banner that Ed has been trying to get sorted. Ed and Neil haven’t made a decision yet on what will be on the banner once it’s fixed.

Seriously what has happened tto the saint max deal, we need more fire power, i would gamble on Carroll aswell seen as we arent not goinng to pay for another striker, i wonder if the left overr of our supposed 90 million budget will magicaly disappear come Jan?

The Wife, having Rafa as a central piece seems a bit silly to be honest. Fine manager, but decided to move to a club nobody has ever heard of, in a rubbish league. Nor did he win silverware. Bobby would be a far better idea and KK gave miles more to this club aswell.
