Newcastle Target Strikes Phenomenal Goal – Get Him In

Liverpool winger Harry Wilson scored an amazing goal today as the European Champions defeated Lyon at the Stade de Geneve in Switzerland.

What we really like is how he just calmly walks away and smiles. Seems like a great lad.

Here it is from a different angle.

The Welsh international will cost £25m and Bournemouth are said to be lining up a bid of that amount for him.

Newcastle have a week left in this window to get in recruitments. With the move for Allan Saint-Maximin seemingly stalled, Watford have now come in for the player.

Watford were heavily linked with Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr who would cost £27m. They may feel that Allan Saint-Maximin is a better deal at £20m.

There is also Jarrod Bowen for £20m from Hull City who is also a very good player targeted by Newcastle.

Like it or not it’s going to cost Newcastle in the £20-25m for one of these three targets. If the money is available as has been reported, they need to get one of these deals done.

Agreed he could put us in danger of progressing past the fourth round of a cup. A hard pass on that.

Having MA as owner of our club has taught me one thing, that’s not to expect to much on the pitch and definitely to expect disappointment in the the transfer windows.
MA is/has been crafty running the clock down, with his dodgy fake takeover, managing to keep mind’s occupied as the transfer window passed by. Not sure if we’ll get another quality player in or not.

So the takeover never happened. MA never said it would, and was roundly criticised for never even opening his mouth about it. So how come he repeatedly gets the blame for a “fake over” which he never mentioned? Posters on here are so twisted by their ( entirely justified) hatred of the way the odious MA is running us, they seem to have lost all reason. Yes, we hate the way our owner runs NUFC, but, no, it isn’t realistic to blame him for everything we don’t like. Most things, clearly, yes, but the hatred has blinded many posters’ judgement. I really don’t enjoy the poisonous and unrealistic negativity of the blog. Naively, (apparently) I hope for information re recent NUFC developments from Ed/Neil’s blog but I have to wade through:
    (a) venomous negativity at all times re our – admittedly- disgraceful owner, and
    (b) infantile backbiting from a large number of compulsive posters v other compulsive posters ( “ you said this 57 posts ago”…..
    Ah well
HWTL, if I may be permitted to say so.

Not really; he complains about the negativity whilst admitting it’s entirely justified!
Fckin rubbish! The blog is only full of negativity because of Ashley’s actions in running the club.
We are by nature (and lack of success) the most positive fans anywhere. Most other clubs would’ve rioted by now!

I’d sign all three to be honest. Play Harry Wilson in the attacking midfield role. He’s got a good shot on him. I’d also sign that Marega guy from Porto. If we sell Dwight Gayle, I’d get Daniel Sturridge or even Andy Carroll in if we have no funds. N’Soki or Max is a must signing. It’s a no brainer to sign all 3 22 years olds. Bowen is similar to Gareth Bale. Wilson reminds me of Marveaux/Mata and Saint-Maximin looks exciting.

    Hi Moonraker,
One of us isn’t seeing things quite in agreement. I have no doubt about MA’s negative influence on NUFC fans, as you correctly spot, but I do not think everything in the whole world connected to NUFC is solely and entirely due to his lies. I did quote the example of the takeover, may you agree I may have been accurate over that?

Kets- for once I agree with you on transfers as its not so far fetched..oh wait I just remembered that we have AshLie as our owner and we probs sign none or perhaps one if we behave.

So sick of this regime, I too would jump at the chance and sign all three. Very cheap in this time and age when prices are through the roof. Very surprised they’re still available and no one has yet gone for them tbh.

    Nicely said Number 9 .

Any club is what it is, our club is run by someone who runs it financially within itself and its up to us as fans to suport it if we wish. In my opinion the negativity voiced by fans, especially in the stadium does no good what so ever and has as much as an impact as ashley not spending enough on players. As was evident under rafa who wanted more money for himself, if fans get behind the players and club we can achieve more. Im sure bruce can organise a defence and look to nick an away goal when theres lots of space to play in.

The negative comments and lack of support for Bruce is ridiculous. Without fans supoort hell (we’ll) never succeed.

I never post but always read.. the blog has become a platform for imbeciles that childishly nitpick each other and the blind hater’s. Please can we talk about anything other than the drivel that’s currently being posted.
