Newcastle Announce Loan Deal As Fans At New Club Respond

Newcastle United have confirmed that Freddie Woodman has signed a one-year contract extension to 2021. They also confirm his season long loan deal to Swansea. This is excellent news for Freddie who has a real opportunity to play first-team football now in the Championship.

Swansea have also confirmed the signing of Woodman and seem delighted to have him on board.

Here are a few tweets from Swansea fans about the acquisition of our 22-year-old goalkeeper for this coming season. They seem to think that he will get quite a few first-team games and add quality to their goalkeeping ranks.

We also wonder how much of a role our new Loan Coordinator Shola Ameobi played in getting this deal. If he has played a big role then he deserves some credit.

The leaders of #NewcastleUnited, including its president, are in Nice to conclude the deal of Alan #SaintMaximin on the basis of a sum of 18M € paid cash + small bonuses. There are still some details (commissions, etc.) to settle before formalization. #OGCNice

Isn’t the word “fan” short for “fanatic”? So why would anyone think opposing views wouldn’t be heated? Stay away from the blog then if you don’t like being challenged. It’s easy.

If any groups that are involved in the protest start throwing insults and getting aggressive with people through there words or actions around the ground will have a huge negative imapact on the groups and any movement going forward. But sadly if theres plenty of drink involved which we all know will be this will happen.

I was adamant woodman wouldn’t sign a new contract but glad he has and has finally been sent out on loan. He’s been desperate for first team matches but hopefully it won’t play out like previous loans and have to recall him back due.

Still don’t think he sign on for a long term deal and only signed a year to ensure he was sent out on loan and doesn’t leave on a free next season.

Haven’t posted for while due to holidays but read the blog every day.
Not sure what to make if planned boycott. I am already boycotting as I gave my ticket up last year and think it is a good idea in principle BUT can it work. I believe nothing really bothers fatty despite what his staged interviews would have you believe and there are so many varying views. I don’t think anyone is right or wrong as everyone has different reasons for their stance.
However I do think the lack of signings is the real downer – it finished me last year after the promises didn’t materialise so I cancelled my ticket after paying the first payment. Hopefully more people will see the light when nothing more happens or we bring in a couple with no premier League experience . We all know it takes 6 months to settle after arriving from abroad.
Anyway that’s my rambling for now. Just totally frustrated at how our club shows no ambition.

    Posada
N’soki is a very good young defender. More suited to left cb of a 3 or at lb in a 4 man defence.

Defensively he’s good but still got a bit to learn and iron out positional issues but has a the potential to be an absolute beast of a defender. Reads and intercepts really well.

Attacking wise, it’s more his athletic ability that lets him get forward. Wouldn’t personally class him as a attacking wing back. Fairly comfortable with ball at his feet. Doesn’t really cross if I’m honest, prefers to either pass infield or take on his man, beat him with either pace or strength and pull the ball back.

Long term see him as a cb.

NUFC officials arrive in Nice to ‘finalise’ deal for Allan Saint-Maximin – Report

Accoridng to RMC, Newcastle United representatives are currently in Nice in a bid to finalise a deal for French winger Allan Saint-Maximin.

The French outlet claims that Lee Charnley is aiming to complete the move after several weeks of negotiating, with the club now ‘confident’ of a deal worth €18m (£16.5m) + bonuses.

The piece does state that ‘finer details’ are still being worked on between the two parties, with agent commissions mentioned, however it sounds like we are trying to get this one wrapped up once and for all.

    12:33 PM – Aug 1, 2019

RMC sports’ chief reporter Sacha Tavolieri has said the following about the deal on Twitter in the last few moments:
“The leaders of #NewcastleUnited , including its president, are in Nice to conclude Alan’s deal #SaintMaximin based on a sum of 18M of € paid cash + small bonuses. There are still some details (commissions, etc.) to settle before formalization.”
Considering this deal has dragged on for weeks now and we’re in depserate need of an Ayoze Perez replacement, let’s hope this one is wrapped up ASAP.

Really hope this lad makes the grade and some day becomes our number one. To many good up and coming youngsters who have looked promising but never quite cut it in the end. But hopefully thats changed now with the emergence of Longstaff and also Matty has looked lively in preseason i hope we see a bit of him this season but if Colback gets the nod in the squad ahead of him ill fume.

    OP

President Penfold? Appointed by Adolf Ashley oh yes.

It sounds as ludicrous as Prime Minister Kemal Johnson who was democratically imposed on the unthinking, unsuspecting country by 100k or so Tory Party members.

To those do called fans who aren’t prepared to protest against Adolf Ashley, take heed – do nothing and you’ll be at the receiving end of whatever chit he chooses to shovel onto you.

You ‘true fans’ remind me of the pitmen who scabbed during the last miners strike and joined a Thatcher supported UDM having been convinced that striking was pointless and their jobs’d be secured. Yes, Roy Lynk, a UDM staged a sit in in the Silver Hill pit (a Notts pit that worked during the strike) and tried to prevent its closure. He came up, defeated and the pit closed.

Thatcher divided the miners and defeated them, conquered them – deep mining is virtually no more and trades unions are virtually entered.

If you ‘true fans’ support Ashley, you’ll end up like the miners – stuffed and stuck with a third rate club in a dilapidated SJP.
