Report – Newcastle Close To Signing French Centre-back With Familiar Sounding Name

Get French Football News are reporting that Newcastle United are close to signing PSG’s 18-year-old central defender Moussa Sissako. Yes that name is correct!

The player is a PSG academy product with dual French and Malian citizenship. The youngster has a contract with PSG until 2021 but PSG coach Thomas Tuchel does not think he will make the grade in Paris. This is no slight on the player as PSG is a tough club to breakthrough.

There is still no word on how negotiations for Stanley N’Soki are going but reports earlier today stated that PSG wanted the deal wrapped up today.

It this signing happens, it is another youngster to go with Kyle Scott and Jake Turner who signed earlier this week.

    Jail
If anyone seriously thinks that anyone seriously thinks that the club is being run the same way as before they’ve got their head stuck so far up Bruce’s ar $e they need it surgically removed.

How on earth can you be so pro Bruce while maintaining a massive anti Ashley stance. It’s like advocating the burning of heretics while telling people you don’t believe in God. The two go hand in hand, Rafa was an integral part of the plan to keep us in eternal mediocrity, how can you blame him for dedicating the Hibs win to Mike Ashley after we’ve signed so many players. Jail always said we couldn’t compete with Swansea or Southampton. Just like Pardew who signed that eight year deal knowing he’d never compete for that FA cup he apparently loves so much. Bruce is not a liar, cheat and fraud – Jail’s right though somewhat confused.
Jail – not Rafa, Pardew or Bruce is as thick as mince.

Haven’t commented here in an age but still read daily.

    Few thoughts

I’m concerned about what our transfer policy seems to have become.
Under Rafa we signed mainly no nonsense players that put the work in and played as a team. Those types of players (Ritchie, Hayden etc) also suit Bruce.

We seem to have reverted back to signing promising flair players and I wonder if they can deliver in the prem.

Linton looks very talented and no doubt will score with chances but if he ends up isolated up top I worry he will shrink into his own shell like Cabella and Thauvin did.

Same can be said for ASM. I’ve watched him for a while as I’ve always heard he’s a top prospect. He can beat a man with amazing skill but his delivery often leaves a lot to be desired. Needs to get his head up and pick a pass but often just throws the ball into the box in hope.

He’s only 22 so has plenty of development time but it’s a big if Bruce can coach that into him.

I will be supporting Bruce because he’s a good guy and why wouldn’t you take the job if you were him but there’s is no doubt that he is well below Rafa as a coach. I would’ve taken him over schteeve but now we’ve seen what a great coach can do it feels quite deflating to go back to these merry go round managers.

I’m not too worried about Perez leaving. I always felt he was a bit overrated I think he’ll do well at Leicester but rondon is a big loss battling up top. We finally had just enough firepower up top to battle for too 10 now we are pinning all hopes on Linton and muto.

Graham Carr has recommended these players. What’s the point in paying £25m for an average English defender like Tyrone Mings when you can get Moussa Sissako for £2m. The English market is a joke. Man Utd have spent £50m on Wan Bissaka who and worse than Yedlin and Manquillo. They could’ve got Sebastien Corchia for £4m. That club’s a joke. Can see Man Utd finishing in the bottom 5 this season.

Tbf Carr recommended some top players who have gone on to become excellent players, PEA etc.

Sadly at the time we wouldn’t pay more than 8-10m for a player and so ended up with the 3rd and 4th choice players in each position at best.

If we spent this kind of money back then we could have signed some awesome players.

I must admit though. Signing Jarrod Bowen and Harry Wilson is a no brainer. They’ll add goals to the side. They’ll cost about £16m and £20m. We have to sign them. Then sell Hayden and sign Lemina. Also get an expensive striker and a free transfer such as Carroll or Sturridge.

I know it’s just a highlight video but defenders that can pass like that and are composed under pressure are a managers dream.

Now, are we going to kill him in the youth system or actually build him into a starter?

At the start of the window I said I wouldn’t touch Carrol or Sturidge due to injury.

We’re desperate for goals, I’d rip your arm of for Sturridge right now, still wouldn’t touch Carrol.

I wouldn’t go anywhere near Sturridge, even toward the end he looks like a shell of the player he once was. Injuries have killed the pace he had, his movement is nowhere as good and he’s looked awful even in an attacking liverpool team where origi outshone him

I wouldn’t say carr is back on the scene, these are nicksons picks and tbf the best value for money is in France.

Some of the best youngsters also happen to be French at the minute, it’s a no brainer and I’ve got no complaints with adding to the squad with younger lads both development and first team. We’ve bought in 2 english lads, a Brazilian from germany, and hopefully 3 french lads from France

I’d take Carroll on a pay as you play deal or pay as long as your fit deal. He’ll add a different dimension from the bench.

Sturridge though, finished in my opinion. Tjeres always balotelli seeing as we are getting tough to manage player why not make it 2 tough to manage players lol
