Reports – Deal For International Right-Back Looks Very Close

There is a report coming out of France that Newcastle will complete a deal for SC Amiens right-back Emil Krafth this week.

The above tweet translates to:

Swede Emil Krafth To Sign With Newcastle

The article in the Courrier picard claims that an initial offer of €1.5m was rejected but that further progress was made over the weekend. It does not give any details on an agreed fee but does say that Krafth will leave the French club for Newcastle. It also details how Amiens will now look for further recruits to replace Krafth.

Krafth was left out of Amiens final preseason friendly against Leganes and the French article claims that he has returned to Sweden.

However, the Sun’s Alan Nixon has followed up with some contacts and denied that the deal is done yet.

We do think Newcastle are pushing to get Emil Krafth in but that there is further work to be done. It does look like the player really wants to come and the fact that he was not involved at all in the final preseason friendly does lead us to believe that a deal may be close.

The report from France seems certain that Krafth will sign with Newcastle this week while the follow up from Alan Nixon says it is not quite done yet. But Krafth does seem to be the main target at the moment.

We must strengthen our midfield with two new players (Lemina and Wilson) and sign a quality striker (Marega)

I refuse to believe Kets is an actual person. My theory it’s a malfunctioning chat bot.

No human would be so obsessed with the likes of Scharner, marveaux, abeid, lemina et al.

Everyone is entitled to opinions, players to sign etc, but who in their right mind would want Balotelli at the club? I use a wheelchair and I’m more mobile than him.

I’m afraid all those “Boycott Arsenal” posters are up their own backsides in fantasy island. I totally understand hatred of MA, and how effective it might look on TV if there were masses of empty seats……………..but there won’t be, will there? No chance in this world. Get your heads around reality, chaps.

You said earlier you were an extra in Spender or some such low budget crap. Was that in your imagination?

For those of you remotely interested in the football, and not the childish carping, I read with interest that Elmohammady is on Bruceys radar. I didnt think much of it at the time, but I sat behind him on a flight from Paris to Newcastle last Friday morning. Could be some truth in this, although I sincerely hope not.
