Martin Dubravka gave a quick interview to NUFC TV after the good performance against St-Etienne.
? @HecoDubravka said he can't wait for the start of the @premierleague season after Newcastle United ended their pre-season campaign on a high this afternoon.

He spoke a lot about the game and was disappointed in conceding the late goal but was very pleased with the overall display. St-Etienne had very few opportunites especially in the second half. In retrospect, it was a very good way to end pre-season.
Martin also spoke about the new signings and the excitement they have brought to the team. He recognizes that they need a bit of time to get settled in the team. All three seem to be really excited and it looks like Joeliton and Allan Saint-Maximin have the chance to become real crowd favorites.
Dubravka also spoke of how hard training has been under Steve Bruce and how he hopes that it is going to help the team once the season starts. Most importantly to us, Martin said he can’t wait to start the season with Newcastle.
Martin Dubravka– can’t wait to start the season
He has been linked with PSG over the past few weeks which is somewhat concerning. However, that move always depended on PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp leaving the club.
Trapp spent last season on loan at Frankfurt and there has been a lot of speculation that they would make a permanent move for the German this summer.
According to Get French Football News, Frankfurt have just bid for Kevin Trapp. We’ll have to wait and see what comes of this new development.

It’s been a very positive window so far for Newcastle. They could still do with a few more signings. We would like to see a right-back brought in and another striker, if possible.
However, the one thing that has made this window a pleasant surprise is only one player has been sold. Ayoze Perez is the only first-team player to leave as his release clause was triggered by Leicester City.
Nothing will ruin this good transfer window like a sudden departure of a vital squad member this week. It will be a very nervy week for sure. We have the makings of an exciting team but if Dubravka or Fabian Schar suddenly get sold, it could kill any momentum gained.
If someone had told us that only Ayoze would have been sold this window we never would have believed it. We are very happy with the window thus far but there must be no outgoings in the final week. That is even more important than bringing in an extra one or two.

St Max for Perez.
Murphy for Kennedy.
Gayle for Jossy Loo.
Colback for Diame.
Jetro for that loaner that never played.
Would say we now have a full squad.
Kennedy, LB Loaner, Jossy Loo and Diame contributed little last year so not too difficult to match or improve on.
Think any in now depends on outs.
Could use Murphy and Colback as insurance in case we don’t get someone in to replace them. Would always be able to get them out on loan late on.

Comment #6Further to this ‘Toon’ and ‘Mags’ theme.
The ‘Toon’ has been on the go long before the Keegan era.
Me and my mates used to try and start a ‘Howay the Toon’ chant from the Leazes in around 1976. (sometimes successfully!)
We were still at school and it was a badge of honour to start songs/chants at the match.
Good times!

You’re basing that on paper. Perez and Rondon got 23/24 goals last season and both with bags of PL experience. Kenedy was shite last season but doesn’t mean it’s ok to replace him with someone not good enough either. Squad fillers have to be able to push first teamers as well for competition. Soton have got Ings, Austin, Long, Adams and Obafemi up top. We have got Joelinton, Muto and Gayle with a combined total of one PL goal from last season. If Joelinton doesn’t do the business or worse still does and gets a bad knock then we are knackered. But that’s what a purple policy will do. We could well afford Joelinton and Rondon or a Rondon type in the same team.

You can’t make a stupid comment like anyone who uses the word MAgs is a Mackem and not expect comments. Especially not when you say it ONE HUNDRED TIMES. And if you call someone a mackem repeatedly for hours is that not harassment? Or is it only harassment if you reply to demented accusations with common sense. Its the same as what Tony does, just a tad less aggressive and a tad more insane. I ignored him, but after half a night hearing the same garbage a comment has to be made.

Comment #27In Northern England and the Scottish borders, then dominated by the kingdom of Northumbria, there developed a distinct Northumbrian Old English dialect. Later Irish migrants influenced Geordie phonology from the early 19th century onwards. The word “Geordie” can refer to a supporter of Newcastle United.

Murphy was the only player yesterday that looked weak- disinterested
Everyone played their part
Shelvey might of over done it sometimes instead of the killer ball kept it simple
Muto looked good some great angled runs pulled their defence all over with better finishing could of had a hat trick – plus one chalked off for offside
Not sure if was
Play like yesterday going to me a rollercoaster exciting season plenty of goals but at which end
