Many Clubs Still Pushing For Newcastle Player Who May Now Want To Leave

The Telegraph are reporting that Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle is still in demand by Championship clubs despite Steve Bruce’s assertion that he wants him to play a part at Newcastle this season.

Jason Burt asserts that Slaven Bilic and West Brom are pushing to get Dwight Gayle back on loan this upcoming season after he starred for them last term. Bilic just joined the Championship club this summer but sees Dwight Gayle as vital to their promotion chances.

West Brom signed striker Kenneth Zohore from Cardiff this summer for £8m but have lost both Gayle and Jay Rodriguez from last season’s strike force. Rodriguez joined Burnley in a £5m move this summer.

Leeds and Stoke City are also reportedly very keen on acquiring Gayle this summer who scored 24 goals at the Hawthorns last season.

Dwight Gayle– give me a call Slaven

The Telegraph has also added that Dwight Gayle is not pleased that he lost the number 9 shirt to new £36m signing Joelinton. They also write that Gayle is very keen to return to West Brom next season.

On Saturday after Newcastle’s win over St-Etienne, Steve Bruce had said he was happy with the strikers at the club. That included Dwight Gayle who is still struggling for fitness and has not played a part in any pre-season action.

Bruce seems keen to keep Gayle as he has tried to sign him in the past.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this news. Gayle can still do a job at Newcastle we feel.

However, if we could get a decent fee for him that in turn could be used to get a better striker, then we would be all for it.

The Telegraph is reporting that West Brom are pushing for a loan deal at the moment. Though they did get £16.5m for Salomon Rondon in his deal to Dalian Yifang and currently have a net gain of around £12m in fees this window.

    Bills Son Is Back,
Do you think the 8th richest club in the PL could have afforded Joelinton, Perez and Rondon in the same team.?

    Boycott

I’m not just talking about bar. I only mentioned catering as i have managed catering in large multi million pound turnover venues and know the man hours required to prepare a venue

    Things such as
    Orders being placed
    Areas being cleaned and prepared
All deliveries arriving being put away ( try and imagine the volume of food and drink arriving and the hours required to store it and distribute it around the atadium
Food preparation alone will be well over 100 hours (100 hours isn’t even 3 full time chefs)

If all these reduce, hours reduce in line.

This is without taking into account ticket office, stewarding, turnstile staff all which reduce if match goers reduce.

You are extremely naive if you think only students will suffer

But each to their own beliefs, i respect people who are boycotting as they believe in their view and i just ask for the same respect

Tony I found that KKK remark to be anything but stupid, I found it very apt tbh. I feel you may be the stupid one for thinking its racist to talk about the KKK. Its racist to support the kkk, not talk about them there is a huge difference.

    Hibbit,

You think the 45,000+ who will go to the Arsenal game will be carrying a weight of embarrassed conscience on their shoulders?

If you even think a fraction have conscience you are delusional.

The drivel on this point is definitely from your mouth, not mine.

It’s nearly as much drivel as Robleenio telling me I would be the ONLY fan in the Arsenal crowd who was apathetic about Ashley… he reckons the rest don’t care about him!!

This is the absolute nonsense the Ashley haters spout.

It’s up to individuals how they feel on the subject of boycotting, either way we need to force Ashley out

Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are all said to be keen on Derby County right-back Jayden Bogle.
The youngster is a man in-demand after impressing for the Rams last season, according to a report by TEAMtalk.

Bogle, who is 19 years-old, is a player who Derby are desperate to hold onto before the transfer window shuts on Thursday but they will have to bat away plenty of interest in him.

The full-back started his career with spells as a youngster in the academies at Reading and Swindon Town before moving to Derby in 2016.

Id like to see us try a Liverpool style. Need two full backs with serious engines though. A front three of linton miggy and maximin. However we are lacking one center mf. Longstaff and Hayden are perfect but ki and Shelvey are not mobile and dogged enough. Diame would be better suited. Shame we let him leave.

Anyone who defends Ashley even passively has either got no idea of what’s happening or has a vested interest in him of some kind!
I know some are prepared to ignore his decisions because of the love of the club, but that’s different to actually defending him and his regime. He is now toxic in the business and sports world! Everyone knows he’s got zero ambition for the club.

Is THAT the complete lack of ambition you mean?

What do think of turning down any approach for Longstaff?

Is THAT the complete lack of ambition you mean?

What do you think of taking a gamble giving Jo and ASM 6 year contracts so they can’t easily push for a move if they have one good season?

Is THAT the complete lack of ambition you mean?

What do think of Schar, Dubravka and Lejuene still being here?

Is THAT the complete lack of ambition you mean?

A complete lack of ambition sounds like a pretty hard to back up claim to me.

Why does this need explaining? An analogy is not a direct comparison- that is the entire point! It is ANALOGOUS!

    Bill’s son is back,
Had 80M been spent in six months on a manager with a proven track record then you could call it ambition, the players bought this summer have not been chosen by a manager to fit his system but for their future sell on value, we have just read a statement from our former player citing the lack of ambition and refusal to build, do you think he’s making that up. The six year deal thing is a farce, you can give a player four or even five, as Leicester have done with Perez then offer him an improved deal if hes the business, if ASM decides it;s not for him here, like Marveaux then you are stuck with him for six years, Mike Ashley will trouser the profits if he’s good but the club will pay if he’s shite.

    Outside box

As much as i hate it and hate Ashley the boycotting of the shop will have much more of an effect on the locals who work there than it ever will on Ashley as it is a tiny drop in his ocean,so it is each to their own what they do.

A boycott of one game will have very little effect on his cash line as there will still be 45k plus there and a number who won’t be there will have paid for tickets anyway.

Staff will get a perv game rate, but if sales are down less outlets will be open in future to reduce staff Costs. Less pies will be ordered so less hours for stores and distributing teams. Less pies bought from the outside company means less hours for their worker’s

I don’t have an answer i wish i did but i get frustrated when all over social media say they’re taking money Ashley’s pocket by not spending in the ground when the profit margins in catering are around 5 to 10 % so for every £10 people don’t spend in ground a max of £1 is being taken from profits and £9 from staff and supply chain

Irish people are less intelligent than the British and have lower IQ scores than most European countries, a University of Ulster academic has claimed.

The average Irish IQ score is 96 compared with 100.5 in England and Wales and 97 in Scotland, according to Prof Richard Lynn, a former Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) psychologist and professor emeritus of the University of Ulster.
