The Telegraph are reporting that Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle is still in demand by Championship clubs despite Steve Bruce’s assertion that he wants him to play a part at Newcastle this season.
Jason Burt asserts that Slaven Bilic and West Brom are pushing to get Dwight Gayle back on loan this upcoming season after he starred for them last term. Bilic just joined the Championship club this summer but sees Dwight Gayle as vital to their promotion chances.
West Brom signed striker Kenneth Zohore from Cardiff this summer for £8m but have lost both Gayle and Jay Rodriguez from last season’s strike force. Rodriguez joined Burnley in a £5m move this summer.
Leeds and Stoke City are also reportedly very keen on acquiring Gayle this summer who scored 24 goals at the Hawthorns last season.
Dwight Gayle– give me a call Slaven
The Telegraph has also added that Dwight Gayle is not pleased that he lost the number 9 shirt to new £36m signing Joelinton. They also write that Gayle is very keen to return to West Brom next season.
On Saturday after Newcastle’s win over St-Etienne, Steve Bruce had said he was happy with the strikers at the club. That included Dwight Gayle who is still struggling for fitness and has not played a part in any pre-season action.
Bruce seems keen to keep Gayle as he has tried to sign him in the past.
Says he's not fit. "We hoped he'd be ready after China but he's gone backwards. I've tried to buy him before."

It will be interesting to see what comes of this news. Gayle can still do a job at Newcastle we feel.
However, if we could get a decent fee for him that in turn could be used to get a better striker, then we would be all for it.
The Telegraph is reporting that West Brom are pushing for a loan deal at the moment. Though they did get £16.5m for Salomon Rondon in his deal to Dalian Yifang and currently have a net gain of around £12m in fees this window.

Comment #81gonufc: OP was using an analogy to explain his point. It was a seriously bad analogy to compare NUFC fans to the KKK.

I intend to judge Bruce on how well he coaches the team this season.
Hopefully you will do the same.

Comment #85@ Tony Baloney – He didn’t!! How do you not grasp this? He was comparing the mentalities of the two situations! This is insane, it’s like a year 5 English lesson. Two things simply appearing in the same sentence does not mean they are being insinuated to be the inherently the same.
He was comparing the state of denial to a more extreme version. It’s that simple.
Honestly, do you read the Sun or something?

You obviously have no idea how the catering or bar side is run at Nufc.
Theres around 10 people who do the majority of what you say, the rest are only there on match days.
Before Ashley there was a much larger permanent staff which would work weddings and other events and switch over on a match day, I know this as my mate from school was a chef there for years before Ashley turned up.
Now the majority are either agency or students who do very little hours for very little money
I could counter your argument and say the whole of Newcastle has lost income since Ashley took over the club, now the feel good factor is gone not many hang around town for a extra pint.
Those CL or nights in europe or the cup games we dont bother in, what about all that revenue that they’ve lost due to Ashley’s no ambition policy.
I’d hazard a guess that the income in the club bar and bars round the town were doing more business on a match day before Ashley came, a bit like our match day revenue.

Hoping we smash Arsenal,
Giving Bruce a chance,
And not writing the season off if we get beat.
