Are Newcastle Still After PSG Defender N’Soki?

Get French Football News are reporting that Newcastle are still in for PSG left-back Stanley N’Soki.

Newcastle have reportedly had an €11m bid which includes a 15% sell-on clause accepted by the French club that still could be completed. The issue remains with the wages on offer for the player. The report states that if Newcastle are willing to increase their salary offer to N’Soki then the deal could take place.

We believe that Newcastle have moved on from this deal. On Friday, Newcastle signed Frankfurt’s left wing-back Jetro Willems on loan for the season. Willems seems a better fit for the system Steve Bruce is deploying this season.

However, Stanley N’Soki would be a good fit at left-back in a flat back four or even on the left side of a back three. This deal is still a good one for Newcastle to make.

N’Soki is a very talented player who could be brought in and also would not take a squad spot as he is still only 20 years old. He could be seen as one for the future with Ciaran Clark soon to turn 30 and Federico Fernandez having just one year left on his deal.

Bringing N’Soki in would also allow to learn under fellow compatriot Florian Lejeune. While N’Soki will most likely be looking to get first-team football, we do see some logic in him being signed by tomorrow.

However, we do not think it will happen and are not entirely convinced of the player’s desire to come to Newcastle.

For anybody wondering why I have a history of conflict with the odious Bill’s son is back only has to look at his comments last night. Despite the misery of the last twelve years and the fact that ”Bill’s” wants to see the back of Ashley he would take delight in someone losing their house for daring to call Ashley a thief, some of most despicable comments I’ve been unlucky enough to read on her over the years.

‘I dont condone violence but have you ever tried giving her a fat lip?’

Sigh. MENSA has really set the bar low if this is the kind of person who gets in these days.

Apostrophes are obviously optional these days too it seems.

As for Matt Ritchie’s personal relationship, when has he met Ashley, when he came after winning the Championship, the odd time he came in to the dressing room and pizzagate, once at training the other day. You want a new contract son, you’d better say that I’m honest or you’ve got no chance, he won’t get one anyway he’s too old.

Jail I havent read the comment or the context but you are famous for taking things out of context . So for example, you knew I didnt want Nigel Pearson ahead of Rafa but you peddled it for ages. By and large ( and i didnt see the quote ) , most of what Billson has been saying isnt at all that off the charts mad. As far as I can see, for the most part he reckons that the boycott wont be significant, and that we have a manager that he is going to support, we have spent better this summer , ashley is a pillock etc. Hard to argue with that but i’m not going to go through all of the things he has said – that just seems to be the general gist of it. I trust Ritchie is now a scumbag in your eyes for supporting Ashley? Are you going to boo him when he gets on the ball ?

On Matt Richie’s comments, there is some logic to what he says. I appreciate this may be controversial but hear me out/

Firstly, Ashley is far from an ambitious owner. We haven’t invested in the playing squad in any consistent manner to progress, we only buy when we desperately need to in order to survive in the premier league. On top of that, he has no improved club infrastructure and we seem to be falling behind commercially compared to similar sized clubs in the league. The man has lied numerous times, made appalling decisions and shown contempt to club legends and fans, for that alone, I want to see the back of him.

Saying that, the club is in a stable financial position, we don’t spend beyond our means and haven’t ended up in administration (as a number of fairly big clubs have). Following relegation we have been promoted both times at the first time of asking, which many other big premier league clubs haven’t managed (villa and sunderland to name two). We haven’t had any unpaid tax bills, unpaid wages, or faced FFP investigations. Does that make him a good owner? No, it means he is doing the minimum you’d expect.

People slate his record with sports direct and other businesses, questioning his treatment of employees, which is all valid as he treats people like dirt but at the same time people want figures from the middle east where there treatment of employees and citizens in general breaches human rights and is widely regarded as modern slavery. There needs to be some perspective.

Ultimately, I want him gone but I don’t want just anyone else taking over. I want somebody who does things properly like Leicester and Wolves.

If you do go to the Liffey for a pint of Guinness then be prepared to wear your swim suit.

When you there Cdog drink a couple of Dark ‘N’ Stormy‘s, that will get you on your way, maybe add a Jameson Chaser or Dublin 12 Old Fashion, straight Proper 12.

    C-Dog –

The Guinness Store House is very good IMO. If you want to get a feel for why the Irish dislike the Brits 😉 Visit Kilmainham Gaol (Jail). You’ll quickly learn that JFA should change his name to Gaol for Ashley. Both are relatively close together so head to Guinness after…you’ll be wanting a pint!

Most tourists head to Temple Bar for the craic agus ceoil (fun and music) but I would suggest Dame Lane and a pub called Dame Tavern. Music after 9.30ish is fantastic and quintessentially Irish.

Any other questions, just ask. Welcome in advance!

Transfer Sage, I hear you and it wouldn’t be an unreasonable position to take except for ……

We’ve actually seen all of this before. Its rinse and repeat for A$$ LIE.

He does the bare minimum to keep us in the Premiership while sucking the very marrow from our bones.

He spends when that premier status is endangered.

We are all happier with a bit of movement this summer in the transfer window but why did we get it ? Because our Premiership Survival Magician is gone. Rafa virtually guaranteed us survival. Bruce doesn’t and he needed some cash and players. Also the incredible fan unrest. He had to give us a couple of fig leaves.

If Bruce is still manager this time next year and if we have stayed in the premiership, that is the window to judge A$$ LIE by.

Will it be another Pardew after we finished 5th or will it be another McClaren/Bruce window ? Another sticking plaster to place over the multiple stab wounds he’s inflicted ?

For those of you saying give him a chance etc. I’ll hold my breath but we’ve already given him 12 years worth of chances. Will we allow ourselves to be hood winked yet again ?

Will we do a President Bush on it ? “There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”

OP – no chance we or anyone will get the books as it will show all the shady deals friends family and SD are getting.
You need to be very very careful making statements like that.
    Why?
Because libel laws apply equally to the internet as anywhere else.
You are making a serious allegation which, if untrue, could result in legal action against you AND Ed as the publisher of the blog.
Ed could also be forced to remove all like minded blogs, remove any further posts immediately and be forced tp identify you and any others making similar accusations.
Ashley could easily send his people to the likes of the Irish Club meeting, record accusations and easily mingle and identify you and other posters.
If you think this is all bollocks you, Ed and others could be skating on very thin ice.
I made what I believed was a sensible suggestion.
You have basically come back and stuck two fingers up.
I hope you’ve got deep pockets and are happy to lose your house if MA comes after yo

I think OP is correct there is no way Ashley would release the books. It would be interesting to see the club’s response if someone were to take him up on his offer.

The “financial stability” part is really a product of Ashley’s revenue engine model for the club. The incomes are tailored to make it tick over with a healthy if unremarkable set of books showing very little profit made after paying various outsourced “interests” their wedge. As Mike says his books will hold up well to scrutiny and there will be very little wrong with them.

The devil is in why they are like they are. I’d say financial stability is as much an indicator of the vice like grip Mike has on the club’s operations and the inertia it entrenches sporting-wise.

N Soki in will depend on an out. Probably Clark.
N Soki is not a FB as far as I can see.
Cannot cross a ball and be a threat in the final third like either of the lads that play FB for Liverpool right and left. The perceived modern way in a 4 3 3.
Left sided CB of a three perhaps.
Is Bruce committed to that. We’ll soon see.

My favourite tops were the adidas with grandad collars.

Newcastle Broon badges on the front.

They were out whilst I was in the forces and the blue n maroon hoops was the Engineers core colours so loads of non Nufc fans were that top.

Core colour and the entertainers made loads wear that top.

Mine is in Medicine hat Canada, hung above the bar.
