Issac Hayden has revealed that it was the emotion he felt after the away game at Fulham to close the season that started to change his mind about leaving Newcastle United.
? In an exclusive interview, @IsaacHayden65 has told NUFC TV why he has stayed at St. James' Park – and the role that the Newcastle supporters played in his decision.

It is excellent news that Isaac Hayden has decided to stay at Newcastle. In this interview, he has said that he is feeling more stable at Newcastle and feels it is going in the right direction. He has also credited Steve Bruce with coming in and bringing stability to the club after the uncertainty with Rafa Benitez’s departure.
This is a massive boost for the club to keep Isaac Hayden at Newcastle. It also looks like we will have no significant first-team players leave this summer. There are foreign windows still open but we don’t think Newcastle will allow anyone to leave since they will be unable to get a replacement.
Incidentally, Jacob Murphy has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season. We wish Jacob all the best and hope he can have a tremendous season at Hillsborough.
Winger Jacob Murphy has joined @swfc on loan until the end of the season. Good luck, @JacobMurphy95!

Comment #1Big opportunity for Hayden to prove he can play consistently at PL level for a full season.
Here’s hoping he can do that.

What’s the point about Perez money being paid in installments?
Most transfers are. We still have Sissoko and Gini money coming in too most likely. Mitro money probably as well.
These are guaranteed funds coming in to the club and can be leveraged if needed at negligible risk.
Also, if Perez was a release clause then Leicester probably had to pay all up front unless the clubs agreed otherwise.

“Let’s have your predictions on Sundays gate. I will go for 32.532.”
I’m normally optimistic but I’ll have to go for 44,000 in this case. Too many so-called fans are totally unaware of the underlying situation and see match day as a day out with the lads, nothing more.

You are the one providing the comedic moments here.
It’s clear you are always taking a contrarian viewpoint just to take the piss as well as all your little digs at the moved on rafa. Just like in your comment about Murphy earlier today. And recently lining up with Billson and now Bruce.
At least I sure hope you are just playing the wum card because otherwise your constant mentioning of Sr. Benitez borders on obsession. Even when you say you won’t mention him again you still do and remind everyone how persecuted you were that others didn’t appreciate your dissenting view. You can’t seem to help yourself.
Then again maybe that sheds a new light on your long road trip to meet him at the Irish training camp a season or two back and was able to shake his hand – of course you couldn’t do that without taking a dig at his small hands.
I wonder – did you keep a sample of something for your Rafa shrine?
Yep – you make me laugh indeed. Well done! Can’t make it up.

the fact that hayden longstaff schar dubravka lejeune are still there is another cause for positivity…

Comment #23I know Carroll has his critics, but personally, I find it difficult not to get animated about the return of Carroll. There hasn’t been much to cheer about for Newcastle fans of late.
I cannot wait to see the Geordie Battering ram flattening a few defenders like the bodily hammer of Thor; crashing the ball, himself, and everybody around him into the goal.

Comment #24Sorry for the repost guys, missed the bus…
I actually think Bruce might stick with the 3 at the back as Lascelles or Fernandez as the sweeper, Lejeune and Schar fighting it out for right side and Dummett and Clark fighting it out for the left spot. I personally would prefer the left sides centre half to be left footed. The system you play with 3 at the back allows the left and right centre halves to play more with the ball, they will get more space and time against most forward lines you come up against. This means you need centre halves that can play football, it’s just a pity Lejeune or Schar weren’t left footed. I suspect we will be going a 3412, I’m getting the big man small man vibe is going on… Carroll/Joelinton as the big men and either Maximin/Muto/Gayle as the little man and the att mid would be Almiron/Maximin options. Midfield will be an enforcer and a creative player, enforcer role can be played by:Longstaff/Hayden/Ki – creative role can be played by either Longstaff/Shelvey/Ki. Wingbacks look after themselves, Jetro on the left, a good solid footballer good defensively and good attacking backed up by Ritchie and on the Right I have Manquillo starting he has turned into a good wingback, very good crosser and good defensively, with Yedlin as the back up. I think Krafth is a traditional right back, which neither of the others are should we go a 4 with Dummett as the left sided option.
Plenty of crosses even on a 343 with Almiron and Maximin on opposite flanks with a big man in the middle.
Thoughts guys… Am I talking the proverbial here…

I’m aware this will be disputed/denied/derided and I’ve been away so I’ve not kept a close eye on exact fees but told today that #nufc have spent around £65m on players with add ons in this window. A decent amount but there should still be money left to use in January.
It would mean #nufc have spent the transfer budget and a little bit of the Perez money, but not all of it by any stretch. Think the plan was always to leave a bit back unless a truly remarkable player became available. If Bruce needs to strengthen in Jan the money SHOULD be there

Comment #27In theory if the team can pick up where they left off (in top 6 form) from last season with everyone giving 100% and still being organised with added pace up front then we potentially could be quite good!
Longstaff and Hayden together were immense and if you add either Ki or Shelvey we suddenly have a very flexible midfield and we might keep possession better this season!?

I think you have to expect the new lads will take some time to get up to speed and gel. Would be great if they didn’t though. We may be in for a rough start to the season if they don’t hit the ground running. lets hope they can do enough to keep us out of the bottom 3 come Christmas.

I think we’ll need one of Shelvey or Ki in there as a starter… They can run games if given the chance, I really like Ki, think he’s better in a e man midfield though, really can keep the ball moving, goes unnoticed but how often does he give the ball away… I don’t recall many if any at all, likes the short ball too and doesn’t hold on to it for long, good movement too

I’m a fan of ki too and prefer him in the team ahead of shelvey. We always seem more in control for reasons you stated when he is on the pitch. I like the subtle turns he does to create space and get away from his marker.
Good post on the repost too. I think we’ll see similar from Bruce but some things i would personally prefer done differently but that’s a different matter.
I think though that he’ll start of v arsenal with Longstaff, Hayden and shelvey and almiron with Joelinton. Again, it my choice but what I think he’ll do.
Lejeune though, he always been a left sided cb, for us and in Spain in a back 4. You sometimes get players like that. He played on the right side a couple times for us and didn’t always look as comfortable. Lejuene on the left and schar on the right either side of Lascelles is a decent back three though. Dummet is great too from a purely defensive perspective.

Comment #38So it looks like we’ve got a better squad than at the start of last season (Almiron, Longstaff, 2 wing backs, Joelinton, Maximin, Carroll) vs (Rondon, Perez, Kennedy) but an inferior manager. You would expect we’d get an extra 5 points with the players, but lose 15 with Bruce providing he lasts a year. Where does that leave us? 15-18th I say.

Comment #39Also good idea to keep 25m back for January. At that point we will know if our new players need upgrading. And we might need a kitty to attract Big Sam or Mark Hughes to save us.
