Issac Hayden has revealed that it was the emotion he felt after the away game at Fulham to close the season that started to change his mind about leaving Newcastle United.
? In an exclusive interview, @IsaacHayden65 has told NUFC TV why he has stayed at St. James' Park – and the role that the Newcastle supporters played in his decision.

It is excellent news that Isaac Hayden has decided to stay at Newcastle. In this interview, he has said that he is feeling more stable at Newcastle and feels it is going in the right direction. He has also credited Steve Bruce with coming in and bringing stability to the club after the uncertainty with Rafa Benitez’s departure.
This is a massive boost for the club to keep Isaac Hayden at Newcastle. It also looks like we will have no significant first-team players leave this summer. There are foreign windows still open but we don’t think Newcastle will allow anyone to leave since they will be unable to get a replacement.
Incidentally, Jacob Murphy has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season. We wish Jacob all the best and hope he can have a tremendous season at Hillsborough.
Winger Jacob Murphy has joined @swfc on loan until the end of the season. Good luck, @JacobMurphy95!

I think the team will likely develop to include ASM in the front line. So maybe 343/523. Just think first game Bruce will stick to the two for now.
In terms of breakthrough from the youth. Before pre season I didn’t see anyone ready or close to ready for the first team. But I think we could see a bit of Matty Longstaff playing, especially in cups. Don’t know if he’ll have an impact as Sean did but it would be nice.

Comment #45I think this has been a very good transfer window for a number of reasons.
1) Retained Hayden and (the very much in demand) Longstaff. Our midfield engine room.
2) Retained Dubravka, Lascelles, Lejeune, Schaar and Fernandez. Our solid defence.
3) Replaced loanee Rondon with permanent centre forward Joelinton.
4) Replaced Perez with tricky Allan Saint-Maximin.
5) Added Krafth and Willems to compete with Yedlin, Manquillo and Ritchie.
6) Made a sensible acquisition on sensible terms of Andy Carroll.

Comment #50My only worry against Arsenal would be dropping Willems straight in if he is playing against Aubemyang and Pepe but would feel comfortable if we were playing Dummett as the left sided CB for protection!!
We really need to get into the Arsenal defence though they have no fit RB and Calum Chambers at CB with Luiz getting chucked in that is a vulnerable backline if there ever was one!!
We always seem to get dominated by Arsenal but maybe with us having the midfield 3 we might be able to get a foothold in the game

I’d rather stick with what we have than to work down a list of players and pick 5th or 10th choice players just to appease certain fans. You’ll end up with a Riviere which I’d rather avoid and save the powder for another window.
Bottom line it’s been a good window with some good youngsters added aswell so no complaints as it could have been a heck of alot worse

Comment #59Yeah Ronaldo, mean the 3 forward players are all interchangeable into various roles and positions, even Joelinton can move to the wing or drop deep which is where I think he played most of last season… This is where big Andy comes in… Turns him into a bulldozing no. 9!!!

Pogba cost alot and he was bought by the richest club in the world, or 2nd richest thanks to activity off field in terms of marketing etc.
Bit of a daft comparison, however we are no different to most teams on the continent and in the UK, albeit not in prem. Bottom line we want Ashley out but no matter what was spent this window you’d still complain, which makes your stance hollow in reality as you can never really look at things objectively……in my humble opinion which means nothing to you!!

Comment #64You can glaze it over how you want, the fact is that we gave an elite manager absolute scraps until he had to almost threaten to leave last January before spending a few quid that was most definitely there to be spent the previous summer, the reason for that is because they knew he’d have a good chance of keeping us in the league, they have now spent an absolute fortune on a guy just hoping he can keep us in the league and make a good few quid while doing so. You’re talking about exciting times and cup wins, have you really forgotten the dire situation, not in the months but years leading up to our relegation? What makes anyone think anything is different now, you try explaining to someone at work why Ashley has just spent 60M on a washed out carthorse instead of a proven manager, you can’t as it is illogical. I don’t think it’s any coincidence that the ones who are happiest with Bruce are the ones that couldn’t wait to see the back of Rafa for being the first manager to stand up to Ashley and tell it how it is up her.

Ki is a tidy player – a lot of class and poise on the ball just not gifted with the total package.
That said when on his game I think the midfield is a bit more solid than with Shelvey. Mainly because Shelvey can be inconsistent.
I think the general formation you described would work. The back three is mainly to keep Schar, Lascelles and Lejeune on the pitch at the same time when all three are fit. And it has worked with Dummett in for Lejeune.
I’m not too worried with Lejeune on the left side of the back three because he has seemed adept with his left foot, although his right is preferred.

Comment #69In my opinion it will be a comfortable midtable position, not a relegation fight. Why? 1. We have more pace and attacking flair than last season making us a lot less predictable 2. Players like Hayden, Longstaff, Schar etc is better now, than when we started the season last year. 3. The mood in the sqaud is very good, judged by the interviews given by the players. 4. Benitez left a very solid sqaud to build on 5. Hayden said this preseason is the hardest in 3 years and feel ready for the new season. 6. Our transferbusiness i better than a lot of other clubs in this division 7. We have more options to change the game if plan A is not working. Thnigs could offcourse be better, but the squad on paper is definetaly better now than same time last year. Remember Rondon was unfit at the start and he was brilliant in the second half of the season togehter with almiron and perez. for me the added pace from almiron was vital even tho he did not score. I am convinced he will come good this season.

If reports are true Rafa was offered the likes of joelinton and he said they were not worth the money. Reported also said rafa would have 50m to spend this summer if he stayed and he decided to take 12m a year in the very ambitious league that is china.
Good luck to him, I’d rather he stayed but he made his decision, it’s happened and he’s gone. Bruce gets the money so let’s hope the players going forward yes there creative brains and the midfield and defence use what rafa taught them

I answered the question, most European clubs and British clubs look at the outgoings including wages and fees spent on agents before deciding what transfer budget they have.
We look at what profit we’ve made and sales we make and decide on budget, hence wages and agent fees taken into account.
Now tell me who are the best players we sold this window
