Newcastle Left-Back On His Way To Italy To Seal Move

Lee Ryder is reporting that Achraf Lazaar will fly to Italy to try and seal a move to a Serie A club. It appears that he may have multiple options in Italy.

Lazaar recently returned to training after not featuring in the last three pre-season matches. He did play a role in the Premier League Asia Trophy where he made appearances in both games.

The Moroccan left-back went on loan to Sheffield Wednesday this past January under Steve Bruce. He still only managed 4 appearances.

He joined Newcastle in the summer of 2016 as a late window signing from Palermo. However, he has made only 10 first-team appearances in his three years at Newcastle.

Steve Bruce reportedly was willing to give all players a clean slate at Newcastle this summer. It appears that most of the players who were out on loan under Rafa Benitez will not be part of the squad under Bruce.

This may also include Rolando Aarons who was reported to be surplus to requirements yesterday.

Though Aarons played a big role in pre-season and he may still be one to make the squad. He was reported to be moving on loan to either Sheffield Wednesday or Wigan but there have been no further reports on either of those moves.

Perhaps not need him but we could do with adding depth to the side. Only got 4 senior cm including Longstaff.

Agree with depth being needed but do we have space for a squad filler?

Maybe if we get colback off the books then it makes sense

If Murphy and aarons are moving on then opens up two spaces in the squad I posted the other day. Didn’t include colback or lazaar in it.

Got the 2 longstaffs, hayden, shelvey, Ki, colback. Not sure if I’ve missed anyone off that CM position

Certainly an area that can do with improving but I’d say a ball winner is needed

Is this “first” sh¡te supposed to be funny?

    A wind up?

Something other than a depressing waste of energy?

Just feel like life is completely meaningless every time I see it.

Hoping for a mass extinction event now.

Just thinking what if Ashley had invested properly when we finished 5th 2011/12 season and had sacked Pardew took in Benitez then, we’d probably be fighting for 4th every season but that’s obviously that’s not how the story goes.

Ashley could’ve been the hero but now he’s the most hated man in Newcastle and rightly so, he has balls of brass and won’t surprise me if he appears at the Arsenal game.

He’d already made a few mistakes by then but had a chance to redeem himself but not to be, he seen the £££ signs and sold our best players, that really did seem idiotic considering the money/support base the champions league generates.

For all those windering where the TV money went erm House of Fraser and Game equals about 130 mil so there’s your answer, he’ll probably do the same again this year with another collapsing company.

On a football matter, our defence has never looked better, midfield’s not to shabby and we have pace and flair, it could be an exciting season.
Hope the fans don’t quell our own players to much with their anti-Ashley protests but Ashley needs to feel the wrath for his greed

I missed Alam Brazil on Talksport saying Ashley doesn’t want to sell the club.

Why say that on air unless he’s been told by someone in the know?

Of course he’ll be at SJP Sunday
It’s on Sky so loads of free publicity
because if the camera is on him the
    commentators will mention SD.
    New manager/players to watch.
The majority of his most vocal critics
    will be outside the Stadium

ooooohh transfer deadline day but it feels like a Monday in January!

MA has taken all of the fun and excitement out of it and I hate him for that.

Even if we get any players in today it will still feel like finding a pound coin in your pocket after you have lost a fiver

As we all know, Charnley isn’t exactly known for his quick completions of deals. Most stories out today will be rehashed click bait of non starters. Unfortunate but true. I live in hope as we need at least another striker, winger and DM but can’t see it happening.

Its soo funny the way they kept Emil Krafth singing under wraps till today. I wonder why??

Would it possibly be because we aren’t going to sign anyone today so he holds back a player they signed yesterday, to make it look like we bought one more player on deadline day.

Funny thing about Bruce being in the Benfield school team, my cousin and her husband both taught there, in fact she taught Lee Clark who when I spoke to him again last year remembers her well. And of course Bruce was signed by Keith for Gillingham and played alongside Gavin there as well, both speak highly of him as a bloke and being such a big Newcastle fan or at least was back then. Funny how such a small world

Don’t sell Longstaff at ‘any’ price! We need to build the team around him especially as we’ve lost Diame who was under rated in my opinion.

Talk about Gayle giving us goals somewhat misses the point I think.

First of all, he just doesn’t score that many in the EPL.

Secondly, he doesn’t have any other real strengths, other than getting in behind defenses, mostly Championship defenses. Muto is the more technical footballer, will contribute more, and will likely score as many.

But most of all, we already have enough small forwards. What we need is a player to compete with, and provide cover for Joelinton.

Will be quite unhappy if we don’t bring in a proper upgrade on Joselu, because as things stand, our attack is light weight, and lacking in enough genuine outlets, and we aren’t gonna get him, unless we shift Dwight.

1 day he might actually go for good.
He,s been a bit of a waste of money like a few more.
I suppose all signings don’t fit in at new clubs for various reasons but Lazaar seems to fit in nowhere.
