Newcastle United have just announced right-back Emil Krafth in a £5m deal from SC Amiens.
Here is the official announcement of Emil from the Newcastle United Twitter account.
?? The 25-year-old right-back, who helped Sweden reach the quarter-finals at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has signed an initial four-year contract at St. James' Park.

Emil Krafth is a 25-year-old Swedish international who has made 20 appearances for his country. He will come in to help add depth to the right wing-back position.
Emil had just joined SC Amiens permanently from Bologna though he did spend last year on loan with the French club.
Newcastle must have really wanted to bring in Krafth as they have more than doubled what Amiens paid for him this summer.
We hope he can prove to be a massive bargain along the lines of Martin Dubravka and Fabian Schar who both joined for low fees and have become stars at Newcastle.
We are very happy with the signing of Emil Krafth and are delighted to see him join Newcastle United

Comment #11Welcome to the Mad House Emil.
I fancy getting on this bandwagon. Just been checking out jobs at St James’ Park – back in Uk Feb 20 and oot of the Army next August. My mission is to work there even if it is short lived.
There must be room on the facilities management team………although under MA it will probably be worse than Iraq and Afghan lol.

Comment #22Ian Holloway the latest pundit to urge the fans to get behind his mate, Steve Bruce and move on. FFS we’ve had enough after 12 years! Then Sol Bamber saying toon need to ensure prem status and the “fans will be happy”!
Trouble is we’ve underachieved for so long they think we’re just happy to be in the prem!
