Get French Football News is reporting that Moussa Sissako will not be joining either Newcastle or Brighton this summer.
Moussa Sissako will not be joining either Brighton or Newcastle United today – neither deal could be concluded for the PSG defender (RMC) https://t.co/kiQUqu0hEw

It had been reported that deals from both clubs had been agreed upon and that it was up to Sissako to decide between the two.
Moussa Sissako must decide between Newcastle United and Brighton. According to reports in the France, the PSG youngster will make his decision in the next 24 hours. Four-year deal on the table. #NUFC #BHAFC https://t.co/D2lZOpi490 pic.twitter.com/yl72GgwuMM

However, it appears that while both clubs did have contract proposals on the table neither could reach a full agreement. We would expect Newcastle to continue to work on getting Sissako to Newcastle over the course of this year.
Bruce recently mentioned that the club are going to invest in the U23 squad. They also should be announcing the signing of 20-year-old defender Ludwig Francillette in the near future.
We hope that they are able to continue strengthening the U23s as they have failed to produce many first-teamers over the years. Though they do look to have a couple of local lads in Sean and Matty Longstaff set to come through big time.

Comment #121So we’re bringing in AC at 30 but wouldn’t sign Rondon, a player at his peak for £16 million. Obviously Ashley wanted Rafa out as he was too popular and powerful for fatso’s regime and continue the strategy to drive down our expectations!

Comment #123OP – the man who is a mainstay of the Boycott and fan groups has this to say about his fellow supporters;
Carrol is as effective as Joselu yet everyone thinks it’s good business.
I suppose it’ll be nice reminiscing about the good old days whilst nose diving to the championship.
I’m not sure if I find his return or the comments lording him up more ridiculous.
Some of you should go back to subeteo as Fifa is rotting your brains.
AND THIS IS THE MAN WHO SAYS I RUBBISH EVERYONE’S OPINIONS.
For what its worth, I think AC could be the signing of the season by a mile if he stays fit.
A sensational player on his day and one who will be double fired up with Toon shirt on his back again.

Pete Graves has tweeted that on their (ssn) poll 63% of fans want Carroll to return. Are you sure you’re on the right channel?

Comment #132Great news that Carroll is joining the squad, providing Gayle doesn’t leave.
Always good to have a plan B up your sleeve.
Demba Ba had just failed a medical at Liverpool when we signed him. Didn’t do too badly for us.

Maybe,
My main point is OP slagging off those who think AC is a decent free signing.
OP is as two faced as the town clock – he blasts me for supposedly rubbishing other opinions and then comes out with the exactly what he (falsely) accuses me of.
It would be interesting to know if he’d say the same thing face to face to AC fans at the supporters meetings.
Doubt it.

Rondon would have cost £16.5M + £60K+ wages + a minimum 3 year deal
AC is a free,, probably £30K + play bonus and probably a 1 year deal to start.
You can’t seriously compare the two signings.

Comment #139As the transfer deadline of 5pm starts to loom large, Newcastle United are reportedly looking to bring in Bordeaux’s Francois Kamano.
According to L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 club are keen to sell the player and value him at €15 million. With the Magpies having been long-standing admirers of the winger, talks are believed to be ongoing to bring the player to St. James’ Park before the day is out.
Monaco and Genoa are also said to have shown interest in the Guinea international.
Able to operate on either flank, Kamano would add some much needed depth to Newcastle’s wide options – particularly with Jacob Murphy on the cusp of sealing a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday.
If all goes well, the Toon could end up with three new signings by the close of play today. So far today, right-back Emil Krafth has finalised his £5 million move from SC Amiens and a deal is close to being agreed to bring Andy Carroll back to St. James’ on a free transfer.
Already the summer, Newcastle have signed Joelinton, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Jetro Williams as new manager Steve Bruce faces up to the daunting task of filling Rafa Benitez’s shoes in the St. James’ Park dugout.
